Talk about giving yourself away

A 17-year-old on Cedar Run was charged with possession of marijuana after an officer, in a known drug area, saw the young man walking by. The officer previously saw the man in another known drug area. The officer could smell marijuana on the man. He asked the man if he could check his pockets. The man said, “OK.”

The officer noted that the pot was found in pair of pants that was number two of three the man wore that evening. He was arrested.

At this same location on the following night, officers were called by apartment security to the same building regarding gunshots and heavy pedestrian traffic in a known drug area.

Officers arrested several people for possession of drugs. They found several baggies of marijuana as well as two rifles and a cash register. The officer’s report noted one of the suspects uttered “Sh—” when they found the cash register that was under a bed.

Uttering “Sh—” when the cops find something in your possession is loosely translated in suspect-talk as “Things do not appear to be going well for me at this time.”

More bad language

Officers received a call of persons who were refusing to leave the premises, being a hotel on Barfield Road. When they arrived, the officers saw and heard a man say, “Oh sh—! We gotta go!” and then walked away. The officers told the man to stop, but he refused. He got into a car and, as he drove away, another police car pulled up and blocked the road.

The man was found to have suspected marijuana in his pocket. He also had a steak knife and inside the car was a pistol. He was arrested for possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

Rolling, but it was all good

Officers received a call of a loud party on Roberts Drive. They found a man who appeared to be intoxicated, holding onto the side of the apartment building. The was asked if he were under the influence of any narcotic. He said he was “Rolling — but it was all good.” He was found to have some suspected Ecstasy (MDMA) on him and was arrested.
