For those who have asked about Cop Cards
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The “Cop-Cards” project was started in 2003 for the officers in the traffic (C.O.P.S) and crime prevention units in north Fulton precincts of the Fulton County Police.
Each officer is sponsored by a civic, church, school, business or residential community. The officer receives a set of 2,000 cards. In 2005 the sponsorship fee was $166. Each card is like professional baseball cards. Personal information, including the officer’s message, is contained on the back of the cards along with the sponsor’s information.
The cards are produced by Choice Sports Cards, who makes cards for several minor league baseball and hockey teams as well as other law enforcement agencies nationwide.
The Cop-Card program has been a big hit in the community, especially with the elementary and middle school age students. Officers distribute the cards not only to students, but to merchants and others within their beats or zones.

The trading cards are a favorite at the department where I work. We are planning to produce a new set shortly.
It is a great way for the community to get know their officers and for the young children it offers them a chance to compete to get all the officers in their collections.
