Mad motorist’s menacing machete
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A woman said that a driver of another car on Roswell Road got upset with her (because she told him to pass her) and got out of the car with a large machete.
He did not swing the machete, but pounded it on a nearby guardrail in a manner that intimidated the victim. (Pound anything with a machete and it’s intimidating.)
The man got into his car and left. The complainant did get the tag number and the case is being followed up.
Suspects get behind the 8 ball
A patron said that someone stole her purse while she was watching her boyfriend play pool in a Roswell Road bar. The victim said four young men walked by her table and said, “good shot” to her boyfriend after he took his shot. The victim then noticed her purse was gone.
The couple walked outside and saw a car, containing the four men, attempting to leave the parking area. The pool player stopped them (he later said he could see her purse in the car). The boyfriend reached in to get the purse and this caused a fight with the suspects. The bar manager stepped in and, after the police arrived, they found the victim’s credit cards in the seat as well as her cell phone.
None of the four men admitted to the possession of the purse in the car so they were all charged with theft by receiving . One of the suspects also is accused of posession of alcohol by a minor. Two of the suspects were treated by EMS personnel, at the scene, for complaints of facial injuries.
Other things

— A Morris Road man said a co-worker has been stalking him, seeking a romantic relationship. She calls him about 10 times each day. He said that she showed up, unannounced, at his apartment while he had some friends over. She got half way in and he shut the door. She yelled and allegedly keyed his car on the way out. She called him on the cell phone and told him she was going to kill herself. She then said she was going to “take care of” him.
— An officer responded to a Roswell Road restaurant and bar where he met an off-duty officer working an extra job. The officer said a large group of people got mad and began throwing bottles at one another. Arrests were made.
