Arthritis Foundation names new CFO

The Arthritis Foundation, which is based in Atlanta, has announced that Christopher Corrigan has been named its new chief financial officer overseeing the non-profit’s financial and administrative operations.
Corrigan most recently has been a chief financial officer of the liberal arts college at Emory University where he helped managed an annual budget of more than $215 million. Corrigan also holds the rank of captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
The Arthritis Foundation serves 46 million people in the United States who are living with arthritis. Since 1948, the Arthritis Foundation has invested more than $380 million in research. It is one of many non-profits that has its headquarters in Atlanta.
Corrigan will be reporting to John H. Klippel, the CEO of the Arthritis Foundation.

Hmmm, from Emory to a non profit. I always find these types of career moves curious. As an AF member I hope he brings strict financial controls to the organization

Correction, Chris was actually the CFO for Emory College at Emory, not the CFO for the entire University. This will be a step up for Chris and we wish him great success at the Arthritis Foundation.

Yes Chris was the CFO at Emory College. Emory College is the undergraduate school of Arts and Sciences at Emory University. Best of luck to Chris.

Actually, hate to pour salt but he didn’t managed that much here. I use to be in his office and they don’t have $215M in research funds at Emory College. Maybe 215 was the entire College funds, but they had people that were over him that did that.

How is this “news”? This announcement was made on April 7. Chris started his new job on a fulltime basis on April 21. It is now June.
