2 men killed in head-on collision
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Two men were killed early Friday in a head-on collision in south Fulton County, police said.
Fulton County police spokeswoman Kay Lester said a Ford Focus driven by a 21-year-old man was eastbound on Campbellton Road about 12:20 a.m. when it crossed the centerline east of Stonewall Tell Road and struck a Ford Crown Victoria.
Both the Focus driver and the 42-year-old man driving the Crown Victoria were killed, Lester said. Their names were being withheld until relatives can be notified.
Lester said the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is involved in the investigation, but would not say whether the Focus was being pursued by deputies. Atlanta police also are involved in the investigation, Lester said, but an Atlanta police spokesman would not comment this morning on why.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash, she said.
