Wreck jams I-85 North
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Six lanes of I-85 North between North Druid Hills Road and Clairmont Road in DeKalb County are closed due to an accident.
No injuries have been reported, but motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
Southbound lanes are unaffected.

Tornado watch issued for Cobb, Cherokee

A tornado watch has been issued that covers several counties in the metro area, including Cobb and Cherokee. The watch, which means conditions for a tornado are favorable, is in effect until 11 p.m.
Meteorologists at the National Weather Service said the front that spawned fatal storms in Texas late Tuesday will pass over Atlanta tonight, dropping up to an inch of rain in some areas. High winds and severe thunderstorms are possible as the storm front marches across Georgia.
Skies should be clear by morning, forecasters said.

Va. Tech alumni to hold Atlanta service

The Atlanta Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association will hold a memorial service on Thursday evening to remember those slain in Monday’s shooting spree on the Hokie campus.
The service is open to anyone.

Lane of Peachtree Road closed in Buckhead
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
A lane of Peachtree Road in Buckhead will be closed this evening and drivers are urged to avoid the area, according to the Buckhead Area Transportation Management Association.
One of the three southbound lanes of Peachtree, at Tower Place Drive, will be closed until late into the evening, according to a statement released this afternoon by BATMA. The site is between Piedmont Road and Lenox Square.
