Do you have any proof that he is housebroken?

What the hell was that post? Think I’ll go back to DOB…that was pitiful and unfunny.

Funny , sad and all to true. The longer Redman is in the rotation the harder it will for the Braves to compete.

You know, Najeh, perhaps I spoke too soon. Bye, Josh. It was nice not knowing you.

This was, as usual, a weak post by the Chop Chick.

Is it too much to think about something positive and give more than 3 mini paragraphs?

Once again I have been disapointed. I may not post much but in the future I will glance, after looking at everyone else’s work first.

Good Lord but these people are rude. Hey — if you wasted any time, it was in writing that sort of rude email post.

Look, Chop Chick may not be the most talented writer the AJC has going, but the post was a cute attempt at humor. But your response was no better.

I think Willie Harris is a good fit for the Braves. He has speed, a good bat and plays several positions. Wish Langerhans the best at Oakland and hope he can talk someone way out there to come and get Andruw. Seriously, is it just me or does Andruw really seem to be unsteady on his feet? Will Wickman find his greatness after he leaves the mile high city or has this opened up his psyche where everyone starts to hit him or wait on a walk? Can Bobby be counted on to do the right thing, the guy asked to come out and seemed to be saying, I can’t pitch in the place….13 walks in a game sounds like the pitching coach needs to get busy…..This is the new look Braves bull pen that was going to save us…..I’d rather have those kids back from Richmond! At least they are trying, and couldn’t possibly do worse…But, that’s all I’ve got to say about that!!!!!!!

Nice post CC! Looks like they tossed Langerhans into the bargain bin with Redman but were luckily able to ship him out. Too bad they Braves couldn’t make it a package deal! I hope the A’s enjoy his .067 batting average. I am looking forward to seeing Diaz in left field regularly.

Totally agreed on Willie Harris. If you caught him on the few ChiSox games WGN broadcasts then you know how speedy he is. Plus, the guy understands the value of the smallball bunt.

But here’s the thing, y’all: Harris’ style was perfectly suited to OzzieBall (which only won the Good Guys a World Series). Will Bobby use his strengths? Why are the Braves so against manufacturing runs or playing station-to-station ball these days? Maybe it’s just me. I’m not a fan of AL-style “Let’s Wait For The Three-Run Homer” play. Good pitching and smallball has been winning games for over a century now. The Yankees could stand to remember that those two things won them so many WS rings.

Can anyone help me with the title of the new book out about the Braves and several players’ favorite games of the 14 season run as Division Champs? I believe it was written by an AJC sports writer. Thanks!

I think the book you are asking about it “Game of My Life: Atlanta Braves.”.

The description on Amazon isn’t right but the bio of the author makes me think this is it.

About the Author Jack Wilkinson has written about sports for more than 30 years, in Miami, Chicago, his native New York, and Atlanta. Named the Georgia Sportswriter of the Year in 2001 and 2004, he’s covered many World Series and Final Fours, and three Olympics and Super Bowls. He currently writes for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. His previous books include Dodd’s Luck, the autobiography of the late Georgia Tech football coach Bobby Dodd; Focused on the Top, an account of Tech’s 1990 national championship season; and Kim King’s Tales from the Georgia Tech Sideline, with the late Tech quarterback and radio analyst.

Anything by Wilk is definitely worth reading. He’s a master storyteller and his sports knowledge is unparalleled. Talk about a fan of the game. And a great guy to boot.

Ernesto, no sweat! I’m not playing ball anymore. Willie Harris is finally in Atlanta, and if Bobby plays him to his strong attributes, he’ll be a star in the league. Andruw finally staggered into a three run walk off homer last night, that was heart warming. Question! Why would anyone hit his bat with a ball when he swings so wildly at the curve? Wickman hurting, Gonzales will do great at the top. My prediction is that if the Braves don’t start to play small ball a little better, we’ll see a nose dive…..for the love of baseball, play the game of baseball…..and that’s all I’ve got to say about that!!!!!!!

Experiment failed. Mark Redman is useless. Just see tonight when he staggered through the first inning and was given a 3 run lead only to blow in the 2nd and be relived. Thankfully only trailing by a run. He is useless. Send him anywhere, but don’t let him pitch unless we are behind by 10. Mop up is all he is good for.

I just spent a few minutes playing around with it and found out that if you rearrange the letters just right, “Mark Redman” is really an anagram for “Dan Kolb.”

I have a cat named Buddy. He’s a good boy. Never thought I’d ever have a cat, but hey, I never thought I’d get a couple of knee injuries, be out of the Corps, and get fat; so you know… anything can happen. Just hold onto that dream! I did and Twan has come back!

The man was an all star last year. I’m not ready to give up, but maybe ship him down to AAA and get a couple of starts down there to gain his confidence.
