I’m thinking Steelers 24-21 …

with one of the Cardinal touchdowns coming late, after the game’s been decided.

I know I said Steelers 3 weeks ago but that was my way of trying to jinx them.

Cardinals 27-13.

It’s too late for the new jinx.

I’m thinking 25 - 21, Jay. That will give the Steelers 54% of the total points — a clear mandate.

So far, Arizona looks like Atlanta did in the Super Bowl a few years ago … startled to be there.

That teleflora.com commercial was really damn funny, and I like the Doritos commercial with the crystal ball.

And kudos to Jennifer Hudson.

That pre-game show was pretty awesome - Faith Hill singing America the Beautiful, Jennifer Hudson, the plane crash crew, AND General Petraeus.

Wow.

Great game. Like the lottery bufoons a lot of people made big bets hoping the Steelers would cover the spread they dindn’t.

From the Muck on Rolly Polly Butterball:

The Obama administration is scheduled to file a brief on February 18 in the ongoing court case over the House’s subpoena of two other senior Bush White House aides, Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten. At that time, it will likely indicate whether it intends to back President Bush’s claim of retroactive executive privilege on behalf of his aides. So the committee’s decision to agree to Luskin’s request means the Obama administration has until then to formulate its position.

Plus the hotels were full and everyone, but the big losers, had a good time. AirTran and Delta had full flights in and out as well.

You know what they say: AFC wins the Super Bowl, the stock market goes down for the year.

Of course, turns out that’s false… but likely not false this year.

taxpayer, in case I don’t get to post again this morning, thank you so much for providing the “reference material”. Of course the guy writing it was a non-partisan economist right? NO?

Actually, it was some Bush-hating, democrat guy in his basement writing delusional garbage. Hey, maybe he’s an electrician. Then we can call him Steve the electrician and pay more attention to what he says than he could possibly ever deserve. I don’t know what you thought that drivel proved, but you have a rather short sighted view of history if you believe any of his “spin” on the statistics.

First, his misrepresentation of the Reagan years was laughable. Reagan had to rebuild the military after the Carter debacle and he had to do it with a democrat congress. It is an absolute FACT that democrats will not increase military spending without corresponding increases in social(ist) programs. He then credits Clinton with surpluses, even though those did not happen until there was a REPUBLICAN CONGRESS. It sure didn’t happen in the first 2 years when the dems were in control of both branches.

Finally, if you read the piece, EVEN WITH HIS PARTISAN SLANT, you will see that just as I said, REVENUES INCREASED AFTER THE TAX CUTS. EVERY TIME!!!

You should also note that most of the deficit spending under Bush occurred…WHEN? That’s right ladies and gentlemen, during his LAST 2 YEARS in office when there was a…wait for it…a DEMOCRAT CONGRESS.

So thank you that EVEN IN A BIASED PARTISAN NUTJOB’S piece, the truth still shines through.

chuck,

I instructed you to provide me with a rebuttal — not your typical Republican whining. Now, work on that proper rebuttal along with source material to support your claims. I’ll be here to help steer your work and I’m truly looking forward to your learning a little from this experience.

Chuck, revenues increase over the years anyway. Tax cuts, however, do not drive that increase, and in fact SLOW it—as has been demonstrated repeatedly.
