Sarah Palin makes early move

Well isn’t that interesting:

“In a sign Sarah Palin wants to continue to be a player on the national political stage, the Alaska Governor has started a new political action committee to raise funds, SarahPAC.

The PAC is registered in Virginia and is modeled after HillPAC, Hillary Clinton’s former political committee. Palin’s committee allows her to raise money for other Republicans.

According to the Web site, the committee will also support Palin’s “plans to build a better, stronger, and safer America in the 21st century.”

Palin continues to have a huge political following. As of noon today, she has 464,000 friends on Facebook.com.”

Speaking of politicians making a “move,” this was sent to our illustrious representative of the Georgia 6th district, Tom Price-

{{{{“I think that our leadership, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, are taking the right approach,” Price said. “I mean, it’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks. You don’t have to try to do what’s best for your people and your party. You know you’re just on these talk shows and you’re living well and plus you stir up a bit of controversy and gin the base and that sort of that thing. But when it comes to true leadership, not that these people couldn’t be or wouldn’t be good leaders, they’re not in that position of John Boehner or Mitch McConnell.}}}}

Don’t forget to take your Palin action figure under the bed with you to keep you safe from all those terrorists out there all around you. They’re everywhere and they’re coming to get you Republicans but only after they increase your taxes and force you to accept government mandated healthcare and work cleaning the toilets of former slaves. Better watch out. Now they’re right behind you. They’re right outside your door. They’re looking in your window and taking control of your TV. It’s not REALLY a conversion to digital transmission. It’s transmission of digitized mind control to transform all non-compliant Republicans into Stepford Democrats. Ah HA Ha ha ha haaaa.

Our country is leaderless.

The “president” of the greatest country on Earth whines and moans about a private company remodeling their office while this same “president” is remodeling the White House, using taxpayer money in a time of economic crisis.

The “Congress” of the greatest country on Earth is assaulting the free speech 1st Amendment Rights of a private citizen, almost as though they have nothing better to do.

In a week that saw the rights of unborn children trampled, the rights of al Qaeda terrorists extended, an administration that spews racist comments against it’s own citizenry, and the new chairman of the IRS being a tax cheat, the “opposition” Republican party is making moony eyes at a stone cold socialist, fully immersed in their own drool.

With this news in mind, I would like to extend a heartfelt and gracious thank you to Mr. Bookman for this wonderful information about the future leader of our country, the honorable and gorgeous Sarah Palin, assuming we have a country left in 2012.

…and why shouldn’t she, jay? ‘Ya know, Obama didn’t win in a landslide victory. I’ve often wondered how many Paul supporters switched over just to vote for Palin. In doing a little research, I’ve found that many Paul supporters would have wanted her at the top of the ticket. They didn’t find McCain attractive — too much of a RINO.

Given that most Americans are seeing both parties as tarnished (especially with this bailout) and Paul supporters saw him as more of a libertarian candidate than a republican candidate, one can never be too sure as to what the next presidential election will bring.

I can almost guarantee you Obama will be a one-term president unless he sets out to change the constitutional term limits, like Chavez.

I guess we can just add the latest news of salmonella from the Blakely, Ga. plant to the list of reasons why the Republican philosophy of no regulation/let businesses regulate themselves after all they’ll look out for our best interests, is best suited to be decomposed on one of those piles of unregulated dung that the Republicans also think are best left to the business owner that cares so much about we the people. Riiight! That’s right along with the tainted tomatoes and jalopenos and toxic waste spills from coal-fired power plants and Chinese farm raised fish with more antibiotics in them than a human being could process in a month and lead paint on children’s toys and on and on and on. But, what do the Republican nut cases worry about — someone else’s right to an abortion and not because they want to raise the child because that’s the last thing that they want. Not to worry though because SarahPAC will be there to see to it that America is safe behind that facade of “what it doesn’t know won’t hurt it”. That’s what Republicans really excel in — concealing the facts, hiding from the truth…Who the hell needs terrorists when we have all these dumba$$ Republicans in charge of so many things right here that can kill us. Change cannot come soon enough to the EPA, EPD, FDA….

By the way, can Sarah come out and play? We have some tougher questions for her if she’s up to it? It’s sunny today and I like sunshine on my shoulders. It makes me happy.

Taxpayer, Your 8:28 brings up a good point I hope we can all agree on (if we’re honest). The problems in this country go beyond democrat and republican, the problem is government in general. We’ve created a monster none of us can contain. It has to be fed incessantly and it has the power over us to dictate our financial lives. Both D’s and R’s are responsible for this mess and both parties leaders don’t have any idea what they’re doing right now. They’re guessing, and they’re doing it at the expense of all of us. Perhaps the single most significant thing we the people could do for this nation in the next 2 years is install term limits in the house and senate. These people need to get the F out of Washington, get a job, and live with the common people for while so they understand what their actions are doing to the people and not for the people.

Spare me the crocodile tears AmVet. It’s only recently that you’ve decided to REdedicate yourself to doing more.

A year and a half ago, me and my “bible-thumping neanderthals” at CHURCH put out the call to boost the giving to our benevolent fund. We have cut back on our expenses and even rented our parsonage out to a single woman working three jobs. Her rent for a four-bedroom home on two acres is less than she would be paying for a one-bedroom apartment somewhere. We needed an occupant and she needed the help. She’s great! Very active in a church of her own. What she pays in rent goes into our benevolent fund.

We have a food pantry, a clothes pantry and are always helping people with their utilities. We do take measures to verify the legitimacy of their claims. So shoot us for our “trust but verify” measures.

Plenty of scam artists out there who could care less about those who really ARE in need.

Before everyone heaps loads of “credit” on Obama for diplomatic progress made, I thought I share a little something from Stratfor. It’s something I’ve reiterated several times here, but no one wanted to hear it.

(((Despite the long-standing tensions,———> the back-channel talks that had been taking place even before the United States invaded Iraq progressed, in the final phase of the Bush presidency,<——— to the point that dialogue was able to break out into the public sphere, allowing the world to warm to the idea of the Great Satan talking to a member of the Axis of Evil. Now, after a year-long campaign filled with Iranian pledges to talk to the United States’ main adversaries, the sporadic and indirect negotiations are about to evolve into direct diplomatic talks. Only 37 percent of the polled Americans were satisfied with allowing room for both God and Darwin—that is, divine initiative to get things started, evolution as the creative means. (This view, according to more than one papal pronouncement, is compatible with Roman Catholic dogma.)

as it is with many members in my church.

Watching some science channel the other night, it showed that polar bears were once grizzlies that adapted to a changing climate. Heck! if the ice caps melt they’ll adapt yet again.

No need to worry ‘bout this global warming hysteria then.

As for Dimrodi, her hate and venom has increased exponentially it seems ever since her boy won the election. What’s the matter Dimrodi, still having to pay for your gas, your car, or your mortgage? No freebies from BHO come in the mail yet? Racist. Thick to the end.

I love listening to the hypocritical right-wing “conservatives” mewl and puke about the mess the Dems are “creating”. I voted for the better candidate, one willing to talk to other leaders (notice I didn’t say enemies—not everyone that disagrees with you is an enemy) because I believe the more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war. You complain about the money the “liberals” will spend. That’s rich, considering that in eight years, Georgie boy only vetoed one spending bill, and on top of THAT, he created the most expensive, poorly conceived, poorly run boondoggle ever in our country’s history—Medicare Part D. After lying through his teeth about the cost, he rammed it down our throats. The deficit that Obama has inherited did NOT come from the Dems—how could it when the Republicans had total control of the White House and Congress for eight of the last ten years??? So, spin it all you want, cry because you don’t have a gun-slinging bimbo and yet another President that can’t focus on the things that are destroying this country. Listen to Boortz, Hannity, and their ilk tell you lie after lie. Whatever. Then look at the facts, read a a few books. Almost every person Bush appointed then fired because he didn’t agree with them has written a book. They are enlightening and quite chilling. It’s interesting to hear you spout about how un-patriotic the liberals are, talk about how stupid they are, yet you listen to uneducated people like Hannity. Where was he educated? Franken got a degree from Harvard. Franken has gone to Iraq and Afghanistan. To my knowledge neither Boortz nor Hannity ever has. I listened to Boortz once spinning in the wind about how he would love to do it, but couldn’t get it pulled together. Right. The eternal cry of the chicken-hawk. Spin, spin, you imbeciles, any way you spin it you can’t wipe out the mess this last administration has created. The only way we can do that is with good, intelligent leadership. We finally have it. As you wing-nuts are fond of saying. If you don’t like it, leave. I’m sure some repressive government would be happy to welcome you.

I’ve tried numerous times to engage these Republican conservatives in a discussion of items such as the debt, deficit spending, the credit crisis, the true cost of war and the need to actually pay for it, etc. They have yet to prove themselves capable or willing. So, I conclude that they are stupid or ignorant or most likely, both, and content with remaining that way. Therefore, I just get on here and pick and prod them as they post their little rants and whines of the day. "I also believe, instinctively, if not very cogently, in the American political experiment, which I take to be, at bottom, a matter of trusting the citizens to know their own minds and best interests. 'To govern with the consent of the governed': this spells the ideal. And though the implementation will inevitably be approximate and debatable, and though totalitarianism or technocratic government can obtain some swift successes, in the end, only a democracy can enlist a people's energies on a sustained and renewable basis. To guarantee the individual maximum freedom within a social frame of minimal laws ensures -- if not happiness -- its hopeful pursuit." -- John Updike, 1932-2009

Blog about how many people don’t feel like this city and it’s elected officals can keep us safge so we’re going to keep ourselves safe. Taxpayer, I would be interested to hear what you believe are Barack Hussein Obama’s QUALIFICATIONS to be president of the United States.

Let me add though, I thought Palin was a HORRIBLE choice for the VP nomination. She brought absolutely NOTHING to help the ticket OTHER THAN the fact that she is a social conservative…important, but not enough to be the VP. The BEST choice would have been John Kasich who is both a SOCIAL and FISCAL CONSERVATIVE and who is from freakin’ Ohio, a state we really needed. Not to mention tha fact that he is one of the smartest politicians in America. (Actually, now that I think of it, he should have been at the TOP of the ticket with Huckabee as running mate. Maybe in 2012)

That said, if you deem Sarah Palin unqualified, I would LOVE to hear what Obama has that she doesn’t in terms of QULIFICATIONS for the office. In my opinion, they are BOTH empty suits. Face it, Obama’s only qualification that mattered to you folks on the left is that he is not George Bush.

It seems to me that President Obama should spend alot more time using the “Scalpel” on his supposid stimulus package he was so fond of talking about during the campaign.

Not surprising that the media has avoided asking where it is………….

Like others have said here. The mainstream media is so concerned with the “gotcha journalism” and other cheap thrills, that they miss keeping the new administration on point. Before you know it there will be “no point”………. Me thinks thats what Pelosi, Reid, and Obama want.

They hope the mainstream media keeps laying down the BS smokescreen and avoiding the substance of how/if Obama will deliver on his campaign promises………

MESSAGE TO MAINSTREAM MEDIA: HOLD OBAMA TO THE SAME STANDARD BUSH WAS HELD TOO Then and only then will I believe anything written about the democratic interpertation of “Bipartisanship”, “Stimulus Package” or other favorite recent buzzwords the liberals try to interpert as they see fit, and claim as their own.

So far, not very impressed with Obama’s focus on the priorities he articulated during his campaign.

chuck,

I’d stated on numerous occasions in the run-up to the election that I voted for Ron Paul in the Republican primary with my primary reasons being that I would first and foremost prefer to have someone in office that I thought was beyond reproach w.r.t. their honesty. Second, I believe in a minimal and efficiently run government and I think Paul does as well. I don’t agree with him in every respect though but I also don’t care to write a dissertation here. Anyway, once McCain and Obama were selected as the Republican and Democrat party candidates, I knew that I needed to either pick one of them or else waste my vote on a third party candidate. I’ve wasted votes in the past with no success and in addition, I definitely did not want to see the Republican philosophy of total destruction of the US continue any longer so there was only one logical choice and that was Obama.

Or your ignorant. Either way. Bush deserved praise for his post 9/11 handling of the issues and the country.

Sure he did some other things that were questionable. I agree. But overall I like his approach of letting me control my destiny vs. Govt. controling it for me.

I’m not lazy and and a follower. I want to earn and I want to keep what I earn. I don’t want a handout. I do have a problem when Govt. stick their hands in my pocket for things like wealth redistribution to people on their lazy asses, I don’t mind if its to promote freedom from appression though.
