Ice cream? Yes we can!

I’m a sucker for ice cream. A good French vanilla? Yummm. A nice scoop of coffee ice cream? Yes please. Sometimes in the summer I even make my own, in a hand-cranked ice cream maker.

My favorite indulgence, though, is a rich, smooth butter pecan. Downright sinful. And now Ben & Jerry’s has released a special variety of butter pecan timed for an upcoming occasion.

I’ll have to go get me some.

How ‘bout these flavors andtry ‘em in your ice-cream maker?

Will Burris be a Senator? Yes He Will. And sooner rather than later.

Illinois Supreme Court—will decide for Burris tomorrow or Friday.

Illinois House Imp. Hearing—Gnat on Freigtrain. Burris will tell them what they already know. He ain’t got no taint.

Senate Vote—rationality will prevail as well as a realization that Reid is making the Senate look absurd as well as himself. Reid said today that Ted Stevens should not go to prison because he didn’t realize that the rules for gift disclosure had tightened and he was a war hero.

Will Franken be a Senator? Yes He Will.

Will his Mick Jagger impersonation stop him from being seated? No it won’t. It’ll help.

Will Miers and Bolten and Rove now have their subpoenas to HJC reinstated (so Rove can yammer someplace besides Fox, WSJ, and Newsweek)? Yes they will.

Should they be arrested by invoking inherent contempt? You betcha Goshdarnit.

A big shout out to today’s Republican of the Day—Texas District Court Judge Sam Kent who was indicted and charged with forcing an unnamed female employee to repeatedly ‘engage in a sexual act,’ including oral sex and using his hands to ‘penetrate or attempt to penetrate’ her”, during 2004.

Kent was appointed by George Bush in 1990.

Kent is using the same lawyer as soon to be imprisoned former House Majority Leader Tom Delay uses Dick Degurin who alleges the above activities “were enthusiastically concensual ones.”

Delay was indicted in 2005 and his eventual trial has been held up for 3 years while pretrial issues have been on appeal.

I think I’ll try it too.

Maybe wash out the pint when it’s empty, and brush it with urethane and save it as another happy momento.

Have you tried B & J’s Stephen Colberts’ Americone Dream? Not Bad.

Myself, I’ve never been able to get past chocolate marshmallow. (All 200 tons of me)

I hear the RNC is going into the ice cream business. Wonder what flavors they’ll come up with?

Cheney Berry Delight. Very small fruit. Very Tart. Comes with coupon for 5 deferments in case of elective war.

Tom DeLactose Intolerant. Not made of anything that even closely resembles milk.

Sean Hamity. Lotsa pork chips and even more nuts.

Drudge Sludge. Made fresh recently in Rockwood, Tn.

Anna Banana Coulterrific. Made with bananas in all black peels.

I gotta make dinner. The natives are restless.

Go ahead. Make fun of each other, good naturedly, tonight.

Somebody has to come up with a variation of moose tracks!

Associated Press - Knowing an incumbent senator can be hard to beat in a party primary, Senate Democrats had hoped to postpone acting on Blagojevich’s choice until if and when the governor was replaced, making it possible to put a more potent campaigner in the Senate seat.

Now, however, Democratic senators and strategists are reconciling themselves to the possibility of being stuck with Burris.

Best eaten after voting to send our young people off to war and then voting to defund them.

Cheatin’ an drippin’.

A flavor in honor of all the democrat heroes who lied and especially those who cheated on their wives and families.

Clown drown.

The flavor that has overcome all rational people who voted for a man about whom they knew nothing.

Big plop.

This is a democrat favorite. It reminds them of the last two democrat presidents who were arguably the worst executives to ever occupy the White House.

Dream scream.

The flavor that reminds them of how Al Gore tried to steal an election and got the crap beat out of him anyway.

Free spree.

The flavor that honors the democrats favored method of getting votes. Free MONEY!

Everlasting idiocy.

The one thing that keeps the democrat ideals alive.

Spruce moose.

The democrats favorite way to remember their obsession with Sarah Palin who was far more qualified to occupy the White House than anyone else running.

Loafing bread.

What democrats do when other people work.

Smart tart.

A democrat who has learned how to blog.

Cool breeze.

The housing meltdown is largely a story of greed and irresponsibility made possible by government privilege. If Democrats had granted the Bush administration the regulatory powers it sought, the housing crisis wouldn’t be nearly as severe and the economy as a whole would be better off.

That’s why some mythmakers are so intent on denying that Mr. Bush worked to rein in the GSEs. But facts are stubborn things, as Ronald Reagan used to say, and in this instance, the facts support Mr. Bush and offer a harsh judgment on key Democrats. Perhaps that explains why so many in the media haven’t told the real story.-WSJ
