Thank you Santa

I must have been a good boy this year.

All my work is done and presents wrapped; Caddyshack is on TV, and at 9 p.m. they’re re-showing that eternal holiday classic, Penn State v. Georgia in the 1983 Sugar Bowl.

And we all remember how that one turned out, right Dawg fans?

Vince Dooley - Herschel Walker = Ray Goff

Yep, Todd Blackledge and Curt Warner proved too much for the Herschel-led Dawgs.

And I’ve often wondered what Joe Pa is hiding behind those dark glasses.

Any team that creates a Little 11 is hard to take seriously.

For everyone:

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.

And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,

Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!

On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.

So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,

With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

As I drew in my head, and was turning around,

Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,

And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.

A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,

And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.

He had a broad face and a little round belly,

That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”

WHAT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HOCKEY - MOM AND A PITBULL………….METH!!

Twas the night before Fitzmas, when all through the hood

Not a pinko was stirring, they were laid up real good.

The envelopes were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St Blagojevich soon would be there.

The hacks were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of Senate seats danced in their heads.

When out on the street there arose such a clatter,

The toadies sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

It was Jesse Jackson Jr. with a bundle of cash

He tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

But old St. Blagojevich proclaimed with a shout

&%$# you Jesse, take your money and get out

And from down the chimney came with a terrible thud

Thee Emanuel bearing a plum job running the HUD

Blago whipped out his cellphone, so lively and quick

And called his wife to ask “will this do the trick?

To which she said &%^$ that, it’s time to get real

Call thee Oblahmasan and let’s make a deal,

But before that recorded call could be made

Up jumped the Fitzman who conducted his raid

He spoke before the press that this must be stopped

Before it snares thee wonder boy up at the top

And now the democrats are left to plot and scheme

Who will be the next senator to join their team

So hear the blessed news and good will to all men

Thee Oblahmi has cleared hisself and that is, uh, the End.

Caddyshack the original is the only one worth watching. C II was lame, lame, lame.

Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ with George C. Scott as Scrooge is my favorite Christmas replay.

Watching the Dawgs lose that one still makes me ill. I lost a lot of money on that game, most of it to my in-laws who lived in Pa at the time. BAH HUMBUG!!!!!

I guess knowing the fate that awaits Penn State a week from tomorrow I’d try to glom onto a 25 year old game too.

An object lesson in picking football games. Always check the rosters for names that might interfere with normalcy.

I took Hawaii in my Bowl game pool, but Notre Dame is kicking their butts. The primary culprit has been a tight end named Rudolph. On Christmas Eve no less.

they’re re-showing that eternal holiday classic, Penn State v. Georgia in the 1983 Sugar Bowl

At the half I decided to go check this out and see who they’re are. Apparently Comcast has added something called the BigTen channel to it’s ultimate ripoff package of sports programming. Unless you’re a diehard soccer fan or a Big 10/11 fan save your cash.

That TCU-Boise St. game was a good defensive fight. I think USC will blow out Penn State.

Looks like it is Florida this year because the SEC rules.

The Sooners, winners of seven in a row overall, pounded then-unbeaten and No. 2 Texas Tech 65-21 on Nov. 22, and followed that with blowouts of then-No. 11 Oklahoma State and then-No. 19 Missouri in the Big 12 title game.

*Twas the night before Fitzmas when in Dirkson Court House Not a Wingnut was stirring with their brains of a mouse

The delusions were spewed up the chiney with care In hopes that indictments soon would be there

The wingnuts were nestled in their tinfoil beds While visions of desperation danced through their heads

Carabou Barbie and Senile McSame Had been stomped while yelling every racist name

When across State Street their arose such a clatter The Wingnuts howling with slime that just didn’t matter

In and out the windows they flew in a flash Hoping Obama and Rahm had offered some cash

Wrigley freshly adorned in a new fallen snow Senate defeats for the thugs had been quite a blow

When what to my wondering eyes should appear Because elections were lost an attempt at a smear

Full of guilt by association stepping on their d*ck I knew in a moment it must be a JawJaw Hick

More rapid than eagles the charges came As Blago called Barack a mofo by name

Now mofo now mofo stirred quite a sensation Blago said Barack offered only appreciation

To the top of Sears tower and Miricle Mile’s Mall Cheap shots at Obama began to fall

And then in a twinkling I heard on the roof The gnashing and clawing of each Wingnut hoof

As Obama and his crew were ready to leave town The seconds for Fitz to get off the pot were counting down

AJC/DNC couldn’t prove jack Par for the course—his usual tack

I heard him exclaim as they drove out of sight All I have to offer are delusions of spite.*

And Merry Christmas to you, too, Jay. I am saddened and offended, however, that the AJC commies won’t even acknowledge today in the main sections. Still, to those who still honor Christ and the season, don’t let anyone steal this day. MERRY MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, including those miserable empty souls who would steal our spirit if they could. Jesus is the reason for the season. Never forget it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Chad, it appears, like Jay, that your poetic writing talent is limited, but in the holiday spirit, might I recommend Hooked On Phonics!

Have fun this holiday one and all! Old Bud will still be here come the new year, when we can all reengage in good rhetorical battle. Might I also be as bold as to recommend some of you lefty wingnuts to cram in as much night school and study as your limited reading skills allow before trying to counter punch with the BudMeister, AJC/DNC, The Corporal, et al.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

For now, better times seem distant. Even with no hurricane to blame, Detroit has, by many measures, replaced New Orleans as America’s most beleaguered city.“ For the first time, I’m seeing guys make a conscious decision they’ll be better off in prison than in the community, homeless and hungry,” said Joseph Williams of New Creations Community Outreach-AJC

Huh, and to think, all it took was replacing the democrat with a Republican, Jindal, thanks for noticing.

So when you gonna get rid of Hurricane Granholm?

Merry Christmas!
