Obama camp claims clean hands
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Barack Obama’s transition office has released its report documenting its contacts with Illinois Gov. Rodney Blagojevich regarding appointment of a successor to Obama’s Senate seat.
The report in effect states that the Obama camp did nothing wrong and was not aware of wrongdoing by others, including Blagojevich. That’s in part because, according to the report, Obama had decided from the beginning not to support any specific candidate to replace him. And since he wasn’t asking Blagojevich to name anybody in particular, the governor had no leverage to ask for or demand anything in return from Obama.
The report also states explicitly that Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel had no improper discussions with Blagojevich or his staff. If the report is in any way misleading, incomplete or wrong, that fact will presumably become known thanks to FBI tapes and other evidence. But as it is, there’s not a hint of scandal in any of the behavior documented in the report.
The entire report is available here.

This was a hit, people, to protect higher ups who also profited from the scheme. This guy couldn’t possibly have done this alone, too many people were looking. The Feds saw this guy as suspicious for years and nobody did nothing: who does that sound like? Cheney? Bush?
I smell a constitutional crisis a mile away.
This is smoking gun, the mushroom cloud, and the forensic evidence we all need to finally put Cheney away.
Cheney’s hiding something. He wont give up his papers. Then there’s that man sized safe.

*Cerberus Capital Management CBS.UL plans to pay 20 percent of year-end withdrawals in cash and suspend the remaining withdrawals for investors in its Cerberus Partners fund, television network CNBC said on Tuesday.
From Ceberus:
We believe it is necessary to suspend withdrawals in part so as to [sic] to unduly increase the illiquidity of the fund for remaining investors and to permit the fund to take advantage of the buying opportunities currently available in this depressed market on a limited basis.**
From WSJ:
Press reports are conflicted over the terms that Cerberus agreed to in return for the assistance. While the Wall Street Journal reported over the weekend that Cerberus had agreed to backstop the loan by having Chrysler’s financial services subsidiary pay the government its first $2 billion in earnings or dividends, the New York Times said that guarantee applied only if the subsidiary was sold.
It’s unclear whether Chrysler Financial is currently profitable or pays dividends, since Cerberus hasn’t publicly disclosed such information. Nor has Cerberus said whether Chrysler Financial or any of its assets are for sale. It has also not disclosed who potential buyers for the finance sub might be.
The terms of the government loan, as published on the Treasury Department’s website, specify that Cerberus could make taxpayers whole for losses of up to $2 billion on the facility. But those terms are prefaced with the phrase, “to the extent permissible under existing agreements.”
“What does that mean?” asked William Bratton, a law professor at Georgetown University, who added that the “vague” wording made it sound as if the agreement depended on waivers from Cerberus’ lenders.

aahhh, yes, the tangled webs that democrats weave-
Emanuel reportedly gave Blagojevich a “heads up” that he was accepting Obama’s offer of the chief of staff job (and, as a result, would be resigning his congressional seat). Emanuel also “had a brief discussion with the Governor about the Senate seat and the merits of various people whom the Governor might consider.” Craig also noted that Emanuel had “about four telephone conversations with John Harris, Chief of Staff to the Governor, on the subject of the Senate seat. In these conversations, Mr. Emanuel and Mr. Harris discussed the merits of potential candidates and the strategic benefit that each candidate would bring to the Senate seat.” In addition to the president-elect, Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett, an Obama confidante, were interviewed in the past few days by investigators with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago, which, on December 9, announced criminal charges against Blagojevich and Harris.-Smoking Gun

Where did Blago get the idea that he could get an ambassorship in exchange for appointing a senator?

JB,
As much as I have excoriated Bush, I was thinking about that too.
To the extent that he and the rest of us finally took our heads out of our behinds and opened our eyes, yes sir, he deserves credit.
And he did a fine job at the onset.
But…
And really it is the many, many people behind the scenes that truly protect us or not.
Clearly, he took some heavy weight shots during his administration and its hard to say how well, or not, anyone would have handled them.
But that he reacted as he did and performed so poorly in most Americans eyes is now undeniable. Even by his most ardent supporters.
At any rate, for most of us, he and his closest advisers sure made it hard to pull for them. And as an American that is the single most damning indictment I can think of.

Nothing excites wingnuts more than bombs.
“Israel and the United States fear that, were Iran to possess S-300 missiles, it would use them to protect its nuclear facilities, including the uranium enrichment plant at Natanz or the country’s first atomic power plant now under construction at Bushehr by Russian contractors. That would make any potential military strike on the Iranian facilities much more difficult.”
Better hurry.
“Russia boosts nuclear spending with order of 70 strategic missiles:
Russia is to increase sharply its production of strategic nuclear missiles, throwing down the gauntlet to the US president-elect, Barack Obama, who would have to deal with the Kremlin’s response to US missile defence plans in Europe.”

A little Thomas Sowell for you poor, poor pitiful souls of the left:
Maybe the current bailout fever is Congress’ way of getting into the spirit of the season— saying in effect, “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.” They will undoubtedly also be saying, “Yes, New Jersey, there is a Santa Claus… Yes, Ohio, there is a Santa Claus…”
A reader suggests that members of Congress should wear uniforms, like NASCAR drivers, so that we will know who their corporate sponsors are. Many of those in Congress should also wear logos representing the teachers’ unions, environmentalist extremists and other special interests.
They say we live and learn. Often what we learn is what damn fools we have been.
If there are still any educators or others who think that both sides of an issue should be presented, the non-profit Heartland Institute has put together Al Gore’s movie “An Inconvenient Truth” and the British Channel 4 program “The Great Global Warming Swindle” in one package with two DVDs.
People who are impressed by how many of Barack Obama’s advisors have Ivy League degrees seem not to remember how many people with Ivy League degrees mismanaged the Vietnam war and how many people with Ivy League degrees mismanaged economic policy during the Great Depression of the 1930s.
The fact that sales at Starbucks are going down, while sales at McDonald’s are going up, shows that people are adjusting to economic adversity by cutting back their spending. Only in Congress do people adjust to economic adversity and growing deficits by spending more money.
Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke seems to be pretty popular thus far. My own preference is for Federal Reserve chairmen who are unpopular. When Paul Volcker was chairman of the Fed back in the 1980s, he was hated like poison, but his policies finally broke the back of the inflation that had been out of control for years— not without some painful costs, but few benefits can be gotten without costs.
It is fascinating to see that politicians whose interventions in mortgage lending have created a disaster in financial institutions are now moving on to intervene in the automobile industry.
After the San Francisco 49ers’ interim head coach Mike Singletary has breathed some new life into that team, if the 49ers do not make him their regular head coach some other team probably will. What happens to Singletary may tell us more about the 49ers management than about Singletary.
Wal-Mart has done more for poor people than any ten liberals, at least nine of whom are almost guaranteed to hate Wal-Mart.
Ronald Reagan had a vision of America. Barack Obama has a vision of Barack Obama.
One of the signs of how easily we are bullied by small and vocal groups is how many universities, among other institutions, dare not even refer to the Christmas vacation but instead refer to “the winter holiday.”
As American incomes have risen over the years, liberals have kept changing the definition of “poverty.” Otherwise, the dwindling numbers of people who could be called “poor” would take away the liberals’ main claim to influence and power.
If you didn’t know that Governor Rod Blagojevich was a Democrat, you are unlikely to find out from the mainstream media. But, if you didn’t know that recently convicted Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska was a Republican, the media made sure to tell you.
An e-mail from a reader whose job requires him to take urine tests, to make sure he is drug-free, wonders why he is taxed to provide money to people on welfare who are also on drugs. He thinks they should have to take urine tests too, before they get his money.
Recent covers on Time magazine and Newsweek— as well as the stories inside— suggest that these magazines are as giddy as teenagers are over some rock stars, when it comes to Barack Obama.
Governor Rod Blagojevich may have inadvertently done us a big favor by discrediting the idea that we should look up to politicians as our protectors and saviors.

Brilliant Jon. I don’t know how I’d understand anything without your incisive analysis. Let’s see: It’s Barack Obama and because the report (was actually released this morning because blogs were all over it this morning and you can find hundreds of them with date stamps) so it wasn’t 4:30PM but I like your logic.
Barack Obama from Chicago and releases their take on Blago and the press will ignore it and bury it because Barack Obama isn’t news at all and he’s not being covered LOL to the 64th except no personality period has been as widely covered in the history of this country by print, TV, or web media.
I’d rethink that one.
But I like the wingnut mental mastubation on Blago. Actually legally, Fitz has a chance to lose this one and if he doesn’t indict in about 8 days, Fitz is stupidly into a probable cause hearing—something that DOJ almost never participates in because it forces them to spill a lot of their case prior to trial.
This will be a good lesson for you because there are federal trials where the pretrial hype by a granstander like Fitz looks like they’ve buried the defendant, and when the dust has settled DOJ actually loses the case. Fitz did a similar thing with a couple of his terrorism trials and his targets walked because Fitz lost the cases. You want to talk burial—the media hardly was aware that Fitz had lost two terrorism cases he hypd against Northern District of Illinois rules again!

You’re first of all techinically inaccurate because if you go to google news, you’ll see a ton of print media with articles early this afternoon.
I don’t know what planet you’ve been on, but anything connected to Obama is being more widely tracked than in the case of any other personality in the news including Presidents.
Fitagerald is not a milque toast although he lost two terrorist cases with the same pretrial (against ND Illinois rules publicity hyperbole).
If
a) Emanuel b) Obama c) Jarrett d) Jackson Jr.
or anyone else offers Fitz a case he’d jump, but that ain’t happening so that leaves wingnuts like you to gnash their teeth and now
Sayruhhhhh says shse should have gotten more interviews. Except that she is lying through her teeth because she went rogue early on and she could have done press interviews at the snap of her fingers. She didn’t do them because she’s a mental midget and so poor a candidate that the wingnuts should tell her clearly now she’s over because she is. The same day, Indian media reported that Indian troops and the air force’s Quick Reaction Teams had deployed along the border with Pakistan, with commandos reinforced at airstrips in Jaisalmer and Uttarlai in Rajasthan and Bhuj in Gujarat. The Pakistani military, meanwhile, reportedly went on a heightened state of alert, with reports of air force jets scrambling in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

Voter ID is in the Eleventh Circuit and now pending a motion that has yet to be filed by Handel and the taxpayer’s outside counsel Mark Cohen. The AG’s office was not used, because they lost every other argument for Handel on voting rights in the federal courts, including the 3 judge panel and as of the other day, DOJ Voting Rights told Handel she had failed to provide a scintilla of substantive information they required on the last round of voting.
Birch asked Cohen to produce solid evidence that Voter ID was needed due to vote fraud. No motion has been filed, and Handel’s attorney, Cohen is almost out of time. This was of course the wingnut theme, and meme, and argument for voter ID’s necessity.
Analagously the wingnuts are screaming they have some type scandal hear beyond Blago and his chief of staff who have by the way yet to be indicted and I know you don’t appreciate the nuance but it’s an important one because when you use a criminal complaint you have a time limit of 20 days to either indict or put on a probable cause hearing before a magistrate. Fitz is just out of time.
So here ya go goshdarnit wingnuts. Show us
1) Any evidence of voter fraud. Help Hande’ls hapless attorney who now has had his bluff called by an order from Judge Birch in the voter ID case.
2) Any evidence at all that will help Fitz since the wingnuts here think he needs there help indict anyone but Blago and John Harris.
Ya see goshdarnit, all your hot air here doesn’t impact the Obama team.
So again children
1) evidence of voter fraud in Georgia 2) evidence that Fitz can use to indict anyone (if he does in about a week) but Blago and Harris.
Blago and Harris have not been indicted. They were arrested on a criminal complaint that has a very short time limit and Fitz either has to
1) indict in about a week 2) succeed in a probable cause hearing which is, if it happens, going to force him to release a helluva lot more evidence than the out of context tape snipits that has the media frothing and apparently the legally naive wingnuts here.

RTW—
In typical fashion you sidestepped the question because your idiocy doesn’t take you beyond bantering about names.
Again RTW focus.
1) Evidence that will allow Fitz to indict anyone but Blago and Harris (neither of whom are in the Obama administration and neither of whom are Jesse Jr.
2) Evidence that Mark Cohen Handel’s outside counsel that all of us are paying big billable hours to can use to comply with Judge Birch’s order for it.
In an unusual move Birch didn’t just let the fictional argument by Handel sit there for determination—he turned a hot white light on her and asked for proof that Voter ID is a necessary burden to be imposed on all voters.
In the real world, none of that evidence has seen the light of day either from Fitz nor Handel
So using your superior intellect RTW, or any of the Rethug bible thumpers do you have evidence in either of these court cases that I asked for.
I think the silence from you is not only deafening but it also tells the tale.
Evidence? LOL.

It also appears that all of the wingnut children seem to have forgotten that Greg Craig, White House Counsel after the scum is swept out, was directly asked by Pat Fitzgerald to hold the release of any information until after Monday.
That would be Tuesday.
And that’s precisely what happened.
By Chad Harris

It also escapes the wingnut children here that while the Obama camp did their own investigation, they knew that Fitzgerald has every phone call that had any contact whatsoever on tape. And when those tapes are released, there won’t be evidence of wrongdoing, but there will be evidence that Emanuel can use the f-word, not exactly a crime as far as I can here in the street in Hicksville JawJaw where it’s pandemic among women.
There is one precedent in history from wingnut land where an individual thought tapes would never see the light of day, and that would be Richard Nixon.
Obama ain’t no Nixon and that’s a good thing.

Do RTW and the wingnuts have any retorts that don’t focus on what Chad things and what percent they fantasize agrees with him. If it wre 50% then McCain and McMoron Palin would have been tied with Obama—instead McCain got his butt handed to him in the electoral college.
Agakin, I asked for evidence and I got childish rants about Chad this and Chad that.
Focus on the issues.
1) The Blago com;plaint has little smoke and no fire.
2) Your girl large butt Karen Handel has no evidence of voter fraud and she’s been ordered through her private attorney to produce it.
Does anyone have evidence to help Fitzgerald implicate the Obama transition team members or Jackson Jr? I can’t hear you. Fitz is running out of time for indictments.
Does anyone have evidence of voter fraud to help the partisan ugly wench Handel in her court case? She’s running out of time.

Damn Putz (RTW)—
the only place a balless moron like you calls someone son who isn’t his son is with your mouse (like your personality).
And I’m focusing on the issues. I don’t take orders from putzes like you, and I don’t take direction from putzes like you who continue to lose election.
Putz (that’s my version of son) Damn Putz!
Puyz can you pinpoint any evidence that Fitzgerald has missed to butress your and your fellow wingnuts’ claims that the Obama camp is implicated in wrongdoing?
Can you come up with any evidence to help Handel who has been ordered by the Eleventh Circuit CA to produce it?
The answer putz is a resounding know. These are issues and they have nothing to do with negativity.
And saying your candidate Palin was a pure bred moron and McCain a pure bred liar who got trounced in the electoral college and the popular vote last month isn’t negativity—it’s one of the best damned things that ever happened Putz.

Damn Putz (RTW)
Putz trying to turn the focus on your opinion about whether I’m negative rather than focus on the issues is juvenile. Concentrate on the issues.
The voters aren’t voting our judging me. I’m not a target of Fitzgerald. My attitude is not a target of Fitzgerald and as someone noted last night, instead of the wingnuts like you being juvenile Putz and worrying about me, try the issues.
Except that’s right…you don’t have the capacity to argue the issues because you don’t read do you Putz?
Again Putz what’s the evidence you think Fitzgerald should be using to indict someone in the Obama camp or a Democrat other than Blago or John Harris and right now neither of those individuals has yet to be indicted. It may have been lost on you that there are a finite number of days in which Fitzgerald either indicts or prevails in a probable cause hearing (that’s called evidence Putz) or the complaint against Blago and Harris goes bye bye.
And I asked you putz to show us evidence that Handel said she had of voter fraud until she was point blank ordered to produce it in a case where Emmet Bondorant is wiping the floor with Handel’s hired (using the taxpayer money—that’s mine) attorney Mark Cohen. Cohen has yet to file a motion producing said evidence.
And you Putz have shown that when asked to put up or shut up you can’t do it. Because you don’t read and you aren’t conversant with either the law or the issues are you Putz?
By Chad Harris

LOL Putz fast typing and adept fingers, and bad proofing hadly bad spelling. I have dogs who are more articulate and better read than you are—and they can spell better and sure as hell can focus on issues instead of on me as you persist in doing.
And again—you aren’t fooling anyone.
Blago—evidence of Obama camp criminal behavior—there were 4 phone calls from Emanuel to Blago. Fitz hasn’t found wrong doing on any of them.
All of these calls were taped.
Again—I know you didn’t know it until I taught you but there was a hearing last month in which Karen Handel was challenged in the Eleventh Circuit on her Voter ID law. To the surpise of everyone, but particularly to the suprise of Handel’s lawyer, Mark Cohen a veteran of election litigation in the Bowers era—[that’s when Bowers was f*cking his secretary for 10 years under Bette Rose’s nose (that’s the Wingnut version of family values—ectopic schtuping or dipping that little wick in strange non wife bootie)] Cohen was order to produce any evidence of voter fraud that would justify voter ID.
Hint to Putz RTW—that ain’t good for your side son.
It’s the Eleventh Circuit panel’s way of saying to the Reputzians put up or shut up.
And since Wooten railed about fraud for years, I’m sure Wooten is all over this motion helping Mark Cohen with the “evidence.”
So Putz—Blago case.
So Putz—Voter ID case.
Evidence or more childish ranting? That’s what I thought.

RTW—Putz—out of the coma
Evidence—
1) of criminal behavior In Re Blago by any democrat other than Blago and his staff? Those are the only ones implicated where it counts in Chicago.
2) Evidence in Atlanta in the Eleventh Circuit case challenging voter ID of any fraud because that’s what the panel is asking for in rendering an opinion.

Photo ID. But no, that disenfranchises minorities, who rely on getting by on the government dole, And that’s the people Dems cater to. Why? Not because they care, they need their votes. #2. B*** and moan about Blago, he’s crooked, like all Chicago Dems. Why is this coming out? Corruption that is deep seaded. Truth will bear out. Don’t believe (and hope) O’bama was directly involved, but his chief of staff most likely is. Remember two weeks ago, when denials abound. More to come. Cite up-to-the-date current events moron, things change. Truth has its way of coming out. By the way, Clinton “I did not have sex with this woman”. If he was talking about Hillary, probably true. Perjury and Impeachment. Fact. Sounds like a song. It happened and it’s real. Get off your high horse! S**t stinks no matter where or who it comes from. Spin this moron!

You’re pathetic.
* Again your jibberish or you “why is this coming out” does nothing to present evidence in either case.*
You’ve offered more rambling but cannot speak to any more targets from Fitz or offer any evidence that there is voter fraud.
I didn’t ask you for your stupid assessment extrapolating poor education that abounds in minorities as well as white individuals in the state of Georgia. It’s rampant. You’re a prime example and any wingnut that thought Palin was well qualified to be VP are prime examples.
A lot of minorities can’t be stereotyped as getting by on the government dole. You’d include Jews like Jay Bookman, and Ram Emanuel, African Americans, many of whom in this city are far better educated than you and earn far more money than you for what that’s worth, many Hispanics, and a whole gamut of minorities. In Georgia particularly we have a lot of uneducated rednecks and we have uneducated minorities and you’re in that category.
And I asked you for substantive evidence in two court cases—one in Chicago and one in the Eleventh Circuit which would be Fla., Ga., Alabama. I didn’t ask for any of your poorly informed opinions.
I asked you to produce direct evidence that anyone in the Obama administration and I widened it to Jessie Jackson Jr. to give you a break is a criminal target of the US Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois who right now is looking less than strategically smart having filed a criminal complaint which puts him in a time corner of about one week.
I told you since you didn’t know that at the end of oral argument Judge Birch informed Handel’s counsel that he was ordering him to produce evidence of voter fraud. I know Mark. He’s very bright and even more experience in this type litigation. That order from Birch was the last thing Mark wanted to hear. It puts him in a terrible box because Mark knows damn well there is no evidence, and I doubt seriously if he believes strongly in Handel’s cause knowing his background and cases he participated in and initiated during his years in the AG’s office before going to Troutman Sanders where he could make more money after leaving the AG’s office and acting as SOS counsel.
Now he’s in the difficult position of finding evidence he knows doesn’t exist and the 11th Circuit panel knows doesn’t exist and putting it on Word 2007 in the form of a motion.
The phrase you meant to use is “corruption is deep seeded [or] deep seated.” And I don’t know yet what Blago has done, nor do you. I’ve read plenty of the hype the media has made of out of context transcripts. I’ve seen Fitz’s usual hyperbole that he used in the two terrorism cases where he had his butt kicked badly but the media failed to report that because it wasn’t that sexy a story.
I’ve had to deal with a lot more of this than you have or will, and smart counsel or a smart observer would know to wait for the case Fitz puts on and the defense. If we could accurately ascertain what someone has in fact done with press inuendo and media gossip, we’d have a pretty bad system and actually a lot more Republicans would be in prison if you track this administration.
I’m not defending Blago other than to say he’s entitled to a trial and we’re entitled to some solid evidence before we make a judgement—and the entire actual tapes will be in the media when they are entered into evidence. The two Chicago papers will run a Blago Harris trial blog just as they did with Tony Rezko.
But when you want to make a leap to the Obama team from conversations that every President’s team and former Senator might have that are legal and appropriate about a successor in the state where Obama was Senator, and use childish guilt by association towards the Obama adminsitration, that’s a pathetic leap.
Fitzgerald is not making it. And I’m not sure how you contexted Blago calling Obama [and actually Emanuel] muther f*ckers several times on the snippets of transcripts that were released in that complaint, but one gets the idea that Blago was not happy with the Obama administration because they wouldn’t play ball, and Val Jarrett got word to him that he was going to have no place in an Obama adminstration and that it was ludicrous for him to think so.
You’re going to have to do better in any argument—with your wife, kid, girlfriend, friend, employer, than “you’re wrong” or you’re not going to see outcomes that make you happy.
I’m not a big fan of a lot of things the Clintons have done. I sure didn’t want her anywhere in an Obama administration and I know she lacks the qualififcations to be Secretary of State but she’ll be a helluva lot better than Condi was who may have been the worst SOS in history.
But Bill Clinton’s relationships with women and his lying about them pale when it comes to Dick Cheney and Addington and Bush’s relationships with the constitution and the multiple laws they broke in so many areas.
And when you want to talk about phoen calls that are illegal examine what Heather Wilson and Pete Domenici who both are making Congress a better place by getting their butts out of it come January 3, 2009. They interfered directly with a US Attorney from New Mexico by trying to control his prosecutions and trying to force him to launch political proseuctions. One Leura Canary is in deep sh*t in the Siegleman case now for having done the same thing.
The 11th Circuit panel ( particularly Edmondson who is always pro-government) the emails to jurors “explosive” and they were.

I am taken back by the media’s response to this entire issue. Why do we need a free and open press if they are going to take anything and print it in lockstep when offered up by the incoming administration as gospel and just print whatever the administrative spin is?
What ever happened to the days of good journalism when good correspondent took such reports from and administration at face value only- then proceeded to find out the truth through deep and thourough investigation?
The media’s response to this is simply stunning. This morning we now hear that another memebr of the proposed cabinet- Richardson- has legal problems that are relatively unmentioned.
I wanted to give this incoming administration the benefit of the doubt assuming we had a press that was doing its job. Why should anyone read a newspaper or advertise if this is the type of objective journalism we are to pay for?
I guess whatever Putin or Chavez are saying must be gospel truth in the view of todays media- just like in this case with Obama?

WSJ has been particularly pathetic. During Libby’s entire trial there was not one story on it. There were two pathetically moronic editorials by Vicki Toensig the queen of tin foil hats and one other writer who bemoaned the terrible injustice to Libby who if I recall correctly was prosecuted by the same individual prosecuting Blago.

Its just me, but the topic supposed to be discussed in this particular blog was The results of an investigation by the Obama transition team on if anything improper was done/undertaken to fill Obama’s vacated Senate seat, and if they had improper contact with the IL Gov. Blago to make this happen.
All the other topics raised by Chad Harris and others to “bury this issue under a rug”, to deflect, or to say “what about what this guy did” and “if he did this, then it must be ok for Obama to do that” ect……….
This is all nothing more than typical damage control tactics by Obama supporters. They hope you get caught up in all the other splinter conversations/arguments that deviate from the original topic.
In the end, we all know that when an organization conducts an investigation of itself, all it is really doing is shorring up holes in its position. Did you really expect the Obama camp to come out with anything other than what they did?
Before we write this off as a done issue as Chad Harris would like us too, lets wait for the results of the real investigation by the Justice Dept. This is the report that really matters.

“But that he reacted as he did and performed so poorly in most Americans eyes is now undeniable. Even by his most ardent supporters.”
Speak for you self, I was proud to stand with President Bush then and I am proud to stand with President Bush today.
We will not, during our lifetimes, know them full extent of the terror threat with which he had to deal. I imagine its scope fars exceeds that which most people believes exists. I a man who has had to,. in the corporate world, make decisions with economic consequences that impact the lives of others. My jobs have been big, but no where as big as President Bush’s. It pains me to see imbeciles who have never had to make (and live with the consequences of) a serious and complicated decision that has wide reaching effects. Most of those who complain about President Bush hold him up against a yardstick of how they want things to be rather than the yardstick of reality. Unless one knows the full context in which a decision was made, it is preposterous to call the decider an imbecile, moron, or dummy.
My bet is that when all is said and done history will look upon President Bush as a man who accuratelly identified the threats against America (see Fannie & Freddie, too) and took the correct premptive actions. History wioll also determine that President Bush was unreasonably opposed, belitted, and hampered by an uniformed liberal opposition that deserves a place next to Neville Chamberlain in history’s pantheon.
Proud of President Bush, you bet I am.

It is such wonderfull news to hear that Obama, with his own in house investigation is free and clear of any wrong doing. This is a bunch of bs and anyone with a brain would certainly realize this. I’m sick and tired of this flawed politician being covered by the media. We’ll see when the real report comes out but the fact of the matter is he’s already lied to the American people. He stood there and said that no one from his camp has communicated with Blago which turned out to be a lie. He knew it at the time but there again. The messiah could get away with anything…. I think sooner or later the folks will wake up and realize we have made a terrible mistake…..

I’m not kidding. Please tell me what you don’t like about President Bush’s track record. Then tell me about the biggest decision you have ever had to make. Then tell what you did to control unknown variables. Its easy to sit around and say, “I wish things were this way”, its a lot harder to make things happen in a harsh reality.

at 7:08 AM Chad’s quart of gin finally gave out and we assume he is resting fitfully with visions of Sarah Palin dancing in his head. “Look it’s Sarah Palin in the Christmas tree! Now she’s coming down the chimney!!! Oh noooooo! No, please no!!”
Re: the Obama report on Blagogate - It would take a half an hour for the O man to find out the truth about who knew and when they knew it, but three weeks to figure out what can be proven.
Corrupt Chicago politician is an unnecessary redundancy.
Off to deck the halls.

Sounds like Obama recognizes he’s subject to the law just like anyone else!
What a refreshing change from the previous administration’s sneers of “Sure we broke the law, whatcha gonna do about it, punks?”
Can we swear in the competent guy now?

A janitor at a school is not a teacher.
A cafeteria worker at a school is not a teacher.
Someone who visits a school is not (necessarily) a teacher.
Most people that shop at Target are not employees of Target.
A youth minister is, however, a youth minister.
I hope this explanation helps those RightWingnuts that are dumber than a bag of hammers.

I cannot recall a PRESIDENTIAL SCANDAL of this magnitude before the inauguration ever before! At least Bush, Nixon, and Clinton waited until they were already in office before they had their scandals! If Obama can’t take office in January because of this SCANDAL, McCain gets to become president (the eligible candidate with the second most votes) and, because of an interesting quirk in our electoral system, his VP would be Joe Biden (the vice-presidential candidate with the most votes). Now, that would be interesting!

It’s sort of obvious that this pervert preyed on little boys where ever he could find them and was not a “minister” in any definition of the word, but the molestation of young boys doesn’t seem to bother God’s Trash at all, he seems to approve of it in fact, yep, just getting in a hit on Christians seems to be the only worry.
Isn’t that sick?

Anyone on this blog that thinks Barrack Obama, the President Elect of the United States would risk it all over that senate seat is delusional. The guy ain’t stupid. But I guess topics like this gives all the conpiracy theorists and fruitcakes among us a reason to exist today. To even consider that a master risk manager like Barrack Obama would be so dumb as to risk seeing his entire agenda…whatever that may, be go up in smoke over something so insignificant in the grand scheme of things makes those that do consider that possible, to put it bluntly, well…not very bright.

Nice try, Duhmbelina…
MARIETTA, Ga. — A youth minister and magician who claims he has performed at a long list of metro Atlanta schools was arrested Thursday and charged with child molestation. Jeffrey Alan Wasley, 37, is accused of molesting a 7-year-old boy Monday in the men’s restroom of the Target store at 740 Ernest Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw. The victim reported the incident to store security and identified Wasley. Police arrested Wasley Thursday night at the home he shares with his wife and two children on Carrie Trace in Kennesaw. According to the police booking report Wasley works at Calvary Jesus Church. On the church’s Web site he is listed as director of children’s ministries.

Investigations by DOJ are often corrupt and are one side of the story. What really matters is the result of the trial in this case if Blago goes to tial.
What’s really typical are the chimes of the press hypers and people who know nothing about how the law works, and don’t have a clue yet what happened in Blago’s case.
So called DOJ did investigations of Siegleman and that eneded up in the toilet for them.

The conservatives[preserving the wealth]seem to think President elect-Obama is going to wipe out all your wealth, funny, I thought not having working class people work for you does that. Give the man a opportunity to make it right we can’t do any worse than these last 8 years. Is this really about dems vs rep, or is it truly scary to some {not all} white people that this man won? It just shows you even when the playing field is’nt even, look what can happen when just given a chance in America.
