Obama was tortured by the British!
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
OK, so it was Hussein Onyanga Obama, the president-elect’s grandfather. But it was a little more extensive than forcing him to watch endless reruns of the Benny Hill Show.
“Barack Obama’s grandfather was imprisoned and brutally tortured by the British during the violent struggle for Kenyan independence, according to the Kenyan family of the US President-elect.
Hussein Onyango Obama, Mr Obama’s paternal grandfather, became involved in the Kenyan independence movement while working as a cook for a British army officer after the war. He was arrested in 1949 and jailed for two years in a high-security prison where, according to his family, he was subjected to horrific violence to extract information about the growing insurgency.
“The African warders were instructed by the white soldiers to whip him every morning and evening till he confessed,” said Sarah Onyango, Hussein Onyango’s third wife, the woman Mr Obama refers to as “Granny Sarah”.
“He said they would sometimes squeeze his testicles with parallel metallic rods. They also pierced his nails and buttocks with a sharp pin, with his hands and legs tied together with his head facing down,” she said.
The alleged torture was said to have left Mr Onyango permanently scarred, and bitterly anti-British. “That was the time we realised that the British were actually not friends but, instead, enemies,” Mrs Onyango said. “My husband had worked so diligently for them, only to be arrested and detained.”

They didn’t force the poor man to read an NRA-themed comments thread, did they?

No, Corporal. It means Bush is going to retaliate by invading Ireland.

Well, I guess it’s good thing that Barry has nothing to with his dad’s side of the family.

Andy,
A thread or two down you made mention of how badly the polls missed the Senate runoff. I just saw the replay of the Chambliss interview talking about how great the Palin effect was on Monday. Maybe the pollsters had it right but Sister Sarah is worth a ten point swing in one day.
Good times ahead and I look forward to working to support President Palin in the years ahead.

RW: You sly dog, you’re trying to rouse up some PDS, aren’t you?
Me too, but I haven’t had any takers, it’s almost as though the democrat party psycho ward sent out word to the minions that such behavior was not healthy, at least not in public anyway.
Foam at the house if you must.

Andy,
You may be onto something. Even Jay B has been remarkably restrained in how to deal with the Palin effect.
It reminds me of the advice I gave them from the start. If they had just left her alone at the start it would be over, but they took my advice way too late. Now they just look scared and Sarah has always excelled at conquering a scared adversary.

al-Gitmo: Didn’t you get the memo from the psycho ward?
If reporting free trips outside of 30 days is a crime, then Hairy Reed would be a boy toy inside of the federal penitentiary.
You libs should really check your own backgrounds before you start whining and moaning, you know, to keep from looking ridiculous and all.

Palin just serves as a constant reminder to decent folks of what empty-headed fools and paranoid idiots are attracted to the GOP.

In the attacks on Sept. 11, Osama bin Laden made it clear that he was trying to provoke the United States into an overreaction; by invading Iraq, an oil-rich Islamic country that had nothing to do with 9/11, we gave him just what he wanted. Iraq became a great recruiting tool and rallying point for al-Qaida.-kooman, Urinal
Duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh-duh, da,da,da. (<——-Uh, Twilight Zone theme song.)
I’ll tell you what, Jay, I betcha I can put together enough documentation to proof that Osama Bin Laden thought that, after 9/11, we would be too paralyzed with fear, almost like what your column suggested we should do, and would not directly attack al Qaeda, a whole lot faster than you can put together anything backing up the wild claims you make about Iraq, blah, blah, blah.
I’m pretty sure of this challenge, being that you do not have any proof of what you say.
Think “weak horse.”

It is good to see that while we discover PEOTUS’ family history that has something in common with its forbearers. When my kid brother was at “Dear old Princeton” it was rumored that MO was a dominatrix; how fitting that while grandpapa was bound and bneaten in the mornings, perhaps PEOTUS is bound and paddled in the eve. Oh, life’s richest of ironies.

Corporal, wild bill, the blogger who insists his name is Mike: Unlike you, W and Saxby, there are some intelligent Republicans in this nation. Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Arlen Specter and one or two others ARE NOT going to play silly games with our future. They are not going to be obstructionists to getting things fixed. They are not going to hold up legislation simply because it came from the other side of the aisle. They’re gonna p!ss you off real good.

Yet his grandson defines solitary confinement and 30 sec swirlies as torture. How ironic..
And why oh why are we just now hearing about this? Another digusting example of the corrupt vetting process the MSM showed their beloved candidate??
