… and you thought the D’s were hard on Palin?

from Politco’s Mike Allen, author of the Playbook column, referring to Sarah Palin:

“In convo with Playbook, a top McCain adviser one-ups the priceless ‘diva’ description, calling her “a whack job.”

This is a week from Election Day. Heaven knows what’s going to happen once the election is actually over and people are more free to speak their minds.

A “top McCain adviser” eh?

I heard that a “top Oblahma adviser” called Hair Plugs a loose cannon and Michelle a lobster munching America hater.

Now who’s closer to the truth?

Barack Obama laughs off charges of socialism. Joe Biden scoffs at references to Marxism. Both men shrug off accusations of liberalism.

But Obama himself acknowledges that he was drawn to socialists and even Marxists as a college student. He continued to associate with Marxists later in life, even choosing to launch his political career in the living room of a self-described Marxist, William Ayers, in 1995, when Obama was 34.

Obama’s affinity for Marxists began when he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles.

“To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, “Dreams From My Father.” “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”-Fox News

In other words, he hung around with the “whackjobs.”

Bookman,

Pulled up Fox in the last few minutes? Some clown in a black neighborhood, city unnamed, posted a “halloween decoration” of Sarah Palin hanging by a noose from his chimney. Picture showed this dummy in a red dress with Palin glasses HANGING BY A NOOSE. What if some white guy in any neighborhood placed a black dummy hanging by a noose outside of his house? Can’t imagine the indignation, the outrage, etc, etc. How about comment or two on this one Bookman or are you so far in the tank for this clown that you have lost all reason?

A whack job? And this is coming as a sudden surprise?

What does this say about McIdiot’s impulsive decision-making and the people around him giving him advice (and doing his vetting)?

I say send McIdiot and Bimbo Barbie to Alaska and turn ‘em loose in the wilderness, unarmed.

And yet:

the subject of ideological bias in the news media is a drag. The people who care about it typically come at the issue with scalding biases of their own.

Well put.

Bias is in the eye of the beholder.

Only those with huge biases of their own think that the newsmedia is biased.

Oh my gosh. I just got an email from a family member and it is really scary. It is totally religious in nature and talks about how if we don’t elect John McSame then God will no longer bless our country and all sorts of junk like that. Amazing. What is truly sad is that within all that ‘garbage’ (and it is garbage) are ads to buy this person’s or that person’s latest CD/DVD and it will show all of this! Led by the nose.

If McCain does lose, it should be great sport to watch the GOP fight over their own future and the philosophy of what it means to be GOP. I think they need some time in the wilderness, but I also think it is a great benefit to the country to have a true Conservative party based on intellectual ideals as smaller government, individual rights, financial security and the like. Instead of a party based on religious beliefs.

We shall see what the future will be shortly ..as someone has stated, it will be the GOP Night of Long Knives.

I think it’s a shame how hard liberals go after conservative women and conservative blacks. They have zero tolerance and try to not just embarrass but destroy them. Misogynists and racists they are. Must one really be fluent with the Times and the Economist to be VP? I think her outsider status was appealing, and despite the propaganda, I think she’s brilliant and has a talent of truly connecting with people.

It’s a real shame that there was a push for McCain and the big tent idea of running in the center. Many of our elitist repubs defected, the very ones we were trying to appease! What a shame McCain’s out there, “I take on Wall Street too!”…”I disagree with the President too!” Sad to say but if you like McCain, you’ll loooooove Obama! I’d almost hope for Hussein and his congressional buddies to win as to rally our side and sharpen our message, but looking forward, what are we going to run on after the irreversible damage is done? “Hello America, I’m Bobby Jindal and I think we need to return to principles in line with our founders, and Reagan, and Gingrich. So my first act if you elect me President in 2012 is to take away your free healthcare and stop the quarterly checks written out to 95% of you and return to market forces, take away those strangling safety nets as to allow freedom for upward mobility”

A whack job! Jay, are you sure that one of McCain’s trusted advisers called her a whack job. If so, did he check with McCain first and get clearance to say that. After all, we know how McCain likes to be in charge of everything and I just cannot imagine something like that slipping out unless McCain either said it first himself or approved that message.

Is she a diva? Maybe

Is she a whack job? Maybe

Is she a SOCIALIST…..

sounds like it.

From Kos

It’s not just John McCain — Sarah Palin is a socialist too! Hendrik Hertzberg notes (emphasis added):

A few weeks before she was nominated for Vice-President, she told a visiting journalist—Philip Gourevitch, of this magazine—that “we’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs.”

Collectively?

Share the wealth?

Code words man, code words.

Heaven knows what’s going to happen once the election is actually over and people are more free to speak their minds.

Hell jay! OBlahMa’s campaign and supporters punish people for speaking their minds before the election.

To the Orlando news anchor who dared to ask a question on behalf of the American people:

“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

To Joe the Plumber who dared to speak his mind:

But Wurzelbacher was thrust into the spotlight unwillingly. Now, because he dared to ask Obama an important question, “Joe the Plumber” is being vilified by some Obama supporters. Many details of his personal life have been made public.

Some of them have been uncovered by illegal means. Three times during the past several days, Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license and vehicle registration information have been accessed through Ohio government computers. Beyond any reasonable doubt, the person or people responsible were looking for “dirt” on Wurzelbacher.

State officials have said they are investigating the matter.

If elected, OBlahMa may even tell you, in his most eloquent language, to STFU! should you say something he doesn’t want to hear.

But then again, I doubt if the need will arise. He’s got you too busy carrying his water.

Fly, are you talking about those evil corporations who employ us, pay for half of our healthcare, advance our capitalist society, and help us with means to put our children in college? Sorry, but I trust “corporte welfare” more than a check to 95% of us who’ll just spend it on Cash 3 and plasma TV’s. Got anything else?

Rustylynn,

Yes I do mean those same corporations! If you’ve been keeping track many of those wonderful corporations are cutting our healthcare, take home pay and other such ‘socialist’ benefits. I think in a post under a different thread there was a reference to Teddy R. quoting Lincoln. Those corporations don’t exist without labor and WE are that labor. But now they’re able to push labor off shore all in the name of profit. For some strange reason I don’t find them ‘patriotic’.

What we have here is an admission from Jay that he and other media types are a part of the D’s.

Karl Marx was a genius. The right-leaning University of Chicago includes Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto in its Great Books of the Western World series. A rising law student who studies Marx is a well-rounded scholar with a bright future. On the other hand, a VP wanna-be who attends a snake-handling church, delivers the keynote intro to an actual anti-American secessionist group, and fires a reputable law enforcement officer because he wouldn’t fire her sister’s ex-husband is a WHACKJOB.

Why is it suddenly fashionable to be dumb? Palin has few redeeming factors other than she’s attractive, yet she’s being hailed as the “Second Coming”. The argument that she runs the biggest state is hollow, there is 1/4 the population of metro Atlanta in Alaska, and most of them are feuding with her or Todd. I’m sure she’s a loving mother, but so is Britteny Spears. I sincerely hope we hear the last of her after next week.

I don’t think Palin is dumb.

She just had no interest in the lower 48 and the rest of the world before she was selected. She actually sounds more knowledgeable than McCain now, after weeks of cramming. If he loses it won’t be because of her, other than it reflects on his poor judgement.
