‘Liberals hate real Americans’

“Folks, there’s a real America, and liberals hate real Americans that work, and accomplish, and achieve, and believe in God.” — U.S. Rep. Robin Hayes, R-N.C., warming up a crowd for a McCain rally

Hayes claims he has no memory of saying that, even though the comments were recorded on tape. I believe it’s probably true that he doesn’t recall. Such sentiments are so engrained in certain people that they recite it without thinking about it, as they were rattling off their phone number or directions to their house.

And people who have been indoctrinated to think that way will naturally get angry at the thought that their “real America” might get taken over by “liberals who hate real Americans,” especially if that takeover of their country is led by a black guy named Barack Hussein Obama.

As a poster in another AJC blog put it recently, “I can only hope Hussien likes to ride around with the top down.”

I’m liberal, work my @ss off, and believe in God.

So Robin Hayes doesn’t seem to know what he’s talking about.

In fact, he sounds like a wackjob.

What is this, love?

U.S. Rep. John Murtha is calling many of the people who put him in office “rednecks.”

The news comes one week after Murtha claimed the area is racist, then apologized for that comment.

In explaining his comments about racism, Murtha, D-Johnstown, told WTAE Channel 4 Action News on Monday it’s difficult for many in the area to change. Murtha said that just five to 10 years ago the entire area was “redneck.”

Liberals think they are the real Americans, isn’t that just ludicrous?

How can you claim to be an American when you propagandize on behalf of the cut throat terrorists, conduct an 8 year campaign of talking down a good economy and raise taxes on hard working plumbers so you can share the wealth around.

If this is friendship, who needs enemies?

Does the idiot (and others like him) even read the Bible?

“The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.” (Isaiah 32:5)

Also Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Something like the 2006 comment from Barney Frank. I paraphrase: “Freddie Mac is in excellent shape. There is no reason to be concerned.” Or maybe it was Chris Dodd or Polosi or Reid or all of the above who uttered that theme.

It’s frightening to realize how successful the right has been in painting liberals as anti-American, unproductive, Godless, ne’er-do-wells. Just frightening.

I hope there are Republicans out there who will stand up in all fairness and say, “No, liberals aren’t those terrible things. They care about America, too. They just differ with us on how we should go about solving our problems.”

Loving America

Most everyone (but not all, i.e. William Ayers) loves America ….. liberals and conservatives equally so. That’s not the real point here.

But have you ever been in, let’s say, a grocery store and watched to different sets of parents as they interact with their children? They both love their children equally but one set is raising a brood of spoiled brats who want everything they see or they throw a fit (liberals) and the other disciplined, polite children who get a chance to spend their own allowance money they have worked so hard for (republicans).

Some of the best quotes about and by liberals:

Winston Churchill:

*Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains.*

Willis Player:

A liberal is a person whose interests aren’t at stake, at the moment.

Will Rogers:

I’m not a member of any organized political party, I’m a Democrat.

Hillary Clinton:

We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.

I believe the facts that have brought us to this fateful vote are not in doubt. Saddam Hussein is a tyrant who has tortured and killed his own people, even his own family members, to maintain his iron grip on power. He used chemical weapons on Iraqi Kurds and on Iranians, killing over 20 thousand people.

Barack Obama:

*I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go.* *The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a *typical white person*, who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, you know, there's a reaction that's been bred in our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society.*

Thomas Sowell:

Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face.

Laura Schlessinger:

If you’re a liberal, anything you say is protected. If you’re a conservative, anything you say is hateful.

The real Americans that were outraged when our Congress stole our freedoms that real Americans fought and died for.

The real Americans who protested the war for oil in Iraq.

The real Americans who screamed socialism for the rich on the bailout.

When real Americans dissent in the gop party they are attacked even though they gop.

There are not too many real Americans in the gop party. They will continue to vote gop, knowing the economy and foreign policies have failed.

Windfall profit taxes, babbles thee Oblahma?

So where do these “windfall profit taxes” come from?

Will the oil companies pull them out of their as-s?

I doubt it very seriously, what I have a feeling they will do is raise the price of a gallon of gasoline.

So that means people like Joe the plumber and anyone else who heats their home or drives to work will be the ones coughing up more money from their already strained budget.

And guess who gets that “windfall profit tax” money that comes from Joe the plumber?

“Look, I can unequivocally say I will not be running for national office in four years.”

Obama gave a similar response to a question from a reporter that he dismissed as “silly”: “Guys, I’m a state senator. I was elected yesterday. I have never set foot in the U.S. Senate. Unbelievable.

(Crain’s) — The best-funded political campaign in American history says news organizations will have to pay — in some cases almost $2,000 each — if they want to cover Barack Obama’s election-night celebration in Chicago

A memo sent to news organizations on Tuesday by the Obama campaign says credentials will cost $715 to $1,815, depending on whether electrical and phone lines are needed and whether an indoor or outdoor seat is requested for the event, which is expected to be held outside the evening of Nov. 4 in Grant Park

It gets worse.

The only free admissions are for a “general media” area. But, the memo says, “Please note that the general media area is outdoors, unassigned and may have obstructed views … standing room only.”

The area also does not include access to top Obama campaign officials, whose statements likely are to be in hot demand on Election Night. They apparently will be available only in the “press file” tent, to which an additional admission fee of $935 per person is being imposed

Politics and the free flow of information, Chicago style.

If Republicans are so proud to be Republicans than why do they neglect to put that information in thier ads. All the Dems are proud to. Also why are conservative voters so willing to hold up the status quo. The same people and companies McCain plans the majority of his tax cuts for are the very same people who lead companies straight into the ground and walked away with big bonuses, New Yorl co-op’s. Fl vacations homes and homes in the Hampton’s. He and those types don’t give a foot about you and your families needs. When ordinary “Joe’s” lose their jobs they have hell to pay just to get unemployement benefits and these guys walk away with five and six figure deals. Wake up people. We may not need class warfare but we sure don’t need rich welfare.

My not too clear point is that there’s been a lot written about travel/per diem payments to Palin. Some of it sounds ‘bad’ but I think it important to keep in mind such disbursements are made only when specifically authorized by statute (that’s Federal but I’d imagine most states follow that principle). So there’s usually a “Rest of the Story” about the authorization for such payments.

As far as a bad move, we remember all the ‘top’ candidates and all the baggage they’d bring - but with the economic meltdown Romney might’ve been an asset. Might’ve. Listening to McCain in the last debate tick off his reasons (raising taxes on Big Oil and sending money to citizens, taking on corrupt Republicans, I think some had charges preferred, etc) well, they are his reasons. I guess he thinks he’s in pretty good health so his kicking off and having her take over isn’t an issue.

getalife -

By the way, this isn’t the first time John Murtha has said some monumentally stupid things. But you don’t really care about any of that. You just want more excuses to hate the people you have been hating all along.

“PITTSBURGH (AP) — A former Marine sued Rep. John Murtha for slander on Thursday, saying the congressman damaged his reputation by saying he and his comrades killed women and children “in cold blood” in Haditha, Iraq, in November 2005. Former Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt filed the federal lawsuit in Pittsburgh. Sharratt claims the comments the high-ranking Pennsylvania Democrat made on news shows in May 2006 also violated his constitutional rights to due process and presumption of innocence. “Sharratt, in being labeled repeatedly by Murtha as a ‘cold-blooded murderer,’ and by Murtha outrageously claiming that the Haditha incident was comparable to the infamous (My Lai) massacre of Vietnam, has suffered permanent, irreversible damage to his reputation,” the lawsuit states.”

By Bud Wiser

October 21, 2008 7:30 PM | Link to this

There’s no question Western Pennsylvania is a racist area.

  • John Murtha talking taking to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Now Murtha says only certain segments of the population are holding on to those racist feelings? Backtracking a little? Maybe a lot?

Just days after classifying western Pennsylvania as racist, Murtha took a step back from those comments, albeit a small one.

Murtha said the history of southwestern Pennsylvania is rife with racism.

This whole area, years ago, was really redneck,” Murtha told Channel 4 Action News.

Crimeny, somebody has to say it ….. *It is time for this senile old goat to be put out to pasture.

He is an embarrassment to himself, to the US Marines in which he served, to his congressional district who he continually insults, to Democrats who lately have had to perform foot-from-mouth surgery several times on him, to his family that puts up with this idiot, and to his country, supposedly serving as a national level representative.

Oh, and he is also an Obama supporter, apparently something along the lines of a David Duke.

Mike and RW: not to get into your little chat with Midori, but there is a huge difference between the Murtha comment and the Hayes/Bachmann comments.

Murtha is referring to people in his own district and not in a way to be divisive between them and other people in his district.

The other two were explicitly trying to create a division by trying to whip up their base by making them worry about “those other people” in a way that invites distrust and anger.

You can try to create a false symmetry between the comments in your mind, but it’s like the false symmetry that the MSM tries to evoke when they falsely claim that both candidates are doing Robo-calls while failing to mention that McCain’s are all about sliming Obama’s character and Obama’s are about attacking McCain’s policies

(DISCLAIMER: I’m not saying the candidates are or are not doing the above, I’m just creating another example of false symmetry; I haven’t heard any of the Obama robo-calls yet, so no idea whether he’s even doing any.)

Wearing bandanas and with their faces covered, the protesters blocked the path and held up a large banner. Officers stopped their motorcycles, grabbed the protesters and dragged several out of the path of the oncoming motorcade

Smith said officers saved the protesters from injury because “the motorcade likely would not have stopped” for them. He said “we don’t know what their intentions were” in trying to block Palin’s motorcade

Hey G, hate to break the news to you but under the constitutional duties of the vice president-

The degree of influence and the role played within the Senate depended chiefly on the personality and inclinations of the individual involved. Some had great parliamentary skill and presided well, while others found the task boring, were incapable of maintaining order, or chose to spend most of their time away from Washington, leaving the duty to a president pro tempore. Some made an effort to preside fairly, while others used their position to promote the political agenda of the administration.

Some came to their role as president of the Senate already familiar with the body, having served as U.S. senators.

In the Senate, Adams played a more active role, particularly during his first term. On at least one occasion, he persuaded senators to vote against legislation he opposed, and he frequently lectured the body on procedural and policy matters.

Jefferson hoped that his Manual of Parliamentary Practice would allow him and his successors to preside over the Senate with fairness, intelligence, and consistency. That classic guide has retained its usefulness to both the Senate and the House of Representatives through the intervening two centuries.

She’s probably the only vice presidential candidate in the last hundred years that actually knows what her job will be.

Moron.

Mike: I send someone to WAR, they damn well better be cold-blooded killers. That’s what they’re trained to do: Kill people. Anyone who thinks a soldier’s job isn’t to kill hasn’t been paying attention to what our armed forces are there to do.

And I’m not making a rationale. You’re creating false symmetry and trying to rationalize that it’s the same thing and it’s not. True symmetry would be for you to come up with a Democratic Rep who proclaims at a rally that a vote for McCain is a vote for the continuation of the white supremist movement. It would be just as false a claim, just as inflammatory, and would likely get the liberals here to proclaim the speaker a complete moron worthy of losing his/her position.

Tis true the level of acrimony and animosity in this country is at an all time high.

The genesis?

Newt Gingrich, the bomb throwing, fire-breathing ultra neo-con, attack dog who was primarily interested in far right-wing grandstanding and sustained, venomous, hyper-partisan, personal attacks.

Former President Ford, a class guy, certainly did not think much of his tactics. He said in 1998 that Newt should curb the partisan attacks on the White House and asked the GOP to rein in its “extreme right.”

While the Obama campaign sanctions supporters’ use of McCain’s age (younger than Dianne Feinstein, Robert Byrd, and Ted Kennedy by the way) to suggest that he might have a neurodegenerative disease, Obama’s admitted use of cocaine puts him at higher risk for mental impairment. It also disqualifies him from access to or control of nuclear weapons under the Armed Forces’ Nuclear Weapon Personnel Reliability Program.

http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/exchange/node/1739

Cocaine is one of the most potent, addictive, and unpredictable recreational drugs, and thus can cause the most profound and irreversible damage to the nervous system. The high risk associated with cocaine remains the same regardless of whether the drug is snorted, smoked, or injected into the user’s bloodstream. In addition to the intense damage cocaine can cause to the liver, intestines, heart, and lungs, even casual use of the drug will impair the brain and cause serious damage to the central nervous system. Although cocaine use affects many components of the body, including vision and appetite, the most significant damage cause by cocaine takes place in the brain and central nervous system.

Taking cocaine could cause irreversible brain damage, scientists from Edinburgh University have warned. Tests on genetically modified mice showed that cocaine inhibited the brain by destroying a key protein responsible for learning and memory. Abusing the highly addictive drug can lead to long-term memory loss and learning difficulties, say experts.

Because I don’t want some little kid doing what I tried.” When Wead reminded Bush that the latter had publicly denied using cocaine, Bush replied, “I haven’t denied anything.”[14].

If hard work, self reliance, honesty, personal responsibility for your actions, believing in something a little more important than yourself, not murdering your children, tired of paying the bills for a bunch of deadbeats….. all of these things are certainly American traits, at least in the country that I live in and around the people who I associate with. Wouldn’t want it any other way.

Ray, it is one thing to be a hateful scumbag politician.

Republican Rep. Robin Hayes said Tuesday he did not recall telling voters at a John McCain rally that “liberals hate real Americans,” but after reading his remarks, said they came out the wrong way.

I don’t see the two sides reconciling after the election - it didn’t happen in 2000 and it didn’t happen in 2004 - so why would it happen now.

I am sure that everyone on each side thinks everyone on the other side is a complete and total idiot, so why would you want to associate? I can’t look at a liberal without thinking I need to make sure I keep my hand on my wallet and watch them around my valuables - I mean, if they want the government to steal from me to give to themselves, why wouldn’t they just cut out the middle man.

I am equally sure they dislike me because they feel that anything I have earned I must have stolen from someone like them.

How do you fix that? If I don’t believe in blatant wealth re-distribution, I am unpatriotic (Biden), a redneck and a racist (Murtha), and an idiot (most everyone on this board) - If you believe that it is your right (or, the governments right) to seize from me whatever you want to fund your programs, I think you are a socialist, a communist, and I wouldn’t walk across the street to pour a bucket of water on you if you were on fire - That is “un-fixable”.

I don’t have anything in common with any of you and I wouldn’t want to spend any more time that absolutely necessary with you and I am sure the feeling is mutual.

I specifically don’t let my kids play with kids who have the O-man’s stickers on their car because I don’t want to have to spend anytime pretending to like them at all of the school events - and I am sure the feeling is mutual.

Look, the bottom line is we are never going to get along with one another, so why pretend that we do get along - This is what I don’t like about America - we all have to be so PC that we have to pretend we like those that we secretly loathe - I know that you liberals all loathe me - you make no secret of it on this blog, that is how you really feel - but, in person, we act like we don’t really believe that.

If you really hate the right that much - and, if the feeling is mutual, that is not repairable.

I don’t think that liberals love America - I think they love what they wish America was - I don’t think the love the ideals of our founding fathers - they love the fact that the freedoms that they have allow them to restrict the freedom of others - my pursuit of happiness is directly impacted when you guys want to steal from the rich - and I am sure your pursuit of happiness is impacted when you see someone that has something you can’t afford.

In my mind, a conservative sees something that someone else has that he wants for himself and says, I will bust my tale to get that for myself as well - a liberal says, I wonder how I can use the police state of government to take that away from that person so they can’t have it since I can’t - why would I want to associate with anyone who harbors those feelings?

Let’s be brutally honest here shall we?

None of us Liberals hate real American’s, that’s just plain stupid. We are all real Americans. That’s why we are fighting for our vision of America’s future. Even here on this silly blog.

I just happen to think, after much study and deliberation, that as a whole the Republican’s have pretty well &%$%$$%&% up our nation.

REAL AMERICANS ARE LIBERALS

(begin howling oh dark ones!)

REAL AMERICANS ….

…show great patience for nincompoopery, but only for a limited amount of time. Then we’ll have to kick your butts.

…attack the right guy. That is real important. (Cost of this war would fill hole made by trickle down economics in our national pocket book)

…make stuff, great innovative stuff, stuff I can’t even imagine. We made the Model T, Cotton Gin, Steam Engine, Telephone and Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. We can do anything.

…understand and are not afraid that knowledge is power. We have millions of real American kids and they need to be stuffed to the gills with all the data their little brains can hold. Let’s give our kids the power.

…are happy for rich folk and content with a real American life. You know, a fair wage, family, food and shelter - maybe a long weekend family vacation twice a year. Ice cream on the porch some summer mights. A good dog like Joe.

…support the Constitution, do not torture or rendition, demand control over their own bodies, believe that democracy is spread by example not fire power and will not accept stolen elections.

For years I have been saying that the majority of Americans really are more liberal than we think. Some nincompoops made liberal a dirty word. Pish Tosh!

Real Americans are liberals, because no matter what disgusting slime, what lies, plots and dirty tricks the last of the GOPicans dump in the next few days, we real American Liberals still think you are real Americans too

We just think you’re very seriously, dangerously wrong headed.

And some….very possibly pond scum.

Thank you for describing BUSH !

Remarks in context.

But the truth is, is that, our challenge is to get people persuaded that we can make progress when there’s not evidence of that in their daily lives. You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Why don’t the auto makers limit themselves to paying competitive wages and benefits in line with what workers could earn elsewhere? Because, in the 1930s, Congress passed the Wagner Act with the nearly explicit purpose of imposing a labor monopoly on Detroit to keep wages at higher-than-competitive levels.

Why doesn’t Detroit rationalize its musty brand lineups and dealer networks? Because, in the 1950s, legislatures across the country imposed franchising laws, including the federal “dealer day-in-court clause,” to make such rationalization prohibitively expensive.

Why don’t the auto giants do as Whirlpool and other manufacturers have done, and move their production to cheaper offshore locales? Because, in the 1970s, Congress enacted fuel economy rules to penalize homegrown auto makers if they don’t build the lion’s share of their cars in high-wage, UAW-staffed domestic factories.

The socialists create the problem and then whine about, justifying themselves to……………….create more problems.

It doesn’t end good.

The Democrat first promised to abide by federal campaign spending limits when he was a long-shot in the primaries. But once he showed he could raise $265 million against Hillary Clinton, he took the rational (if cynical) route by opting out of the government-run program in the autumn. A Republican would have been tarred and feathered by the media, with reports night after night about the “fat cats” funding his campaign; Mr. Obama is getting a pass.

This monumental flip-flop should finally bust the illusion that campaign finance reform is somehow about better government. It is really about power. Liberals campaign for limits when they serve their election purposes but abandon them when they don’t. Bill Clinton proved that in 1996 and we are learning that lesson again this year.-WSJ

Why do liberals want to change the moral values of real Americans. Why do they not believe the constitution is good as it is. Real Amerians are those who work to build a better life for their families and country under guidence of the great experiment “the constitution”. Liberals want to give to those who only want “to receive” for their votes and support of the agenda. Liberals will do anything to get into power and then what? I remember the days of Carter. 440 days did our people remain hostage to Iranian extremist. Of course we were to blame right? He depleted the military so badly that a rescue attempt failed. It failed. Only did a strong leader come into the forefront did those extremist release the hostages, Ronald Reagan. Now the liberal VP says Obama will be tested. Can we expect another 440 days of negotiation. Mrs Godzilla could finish her book by then. If only the hostages were liberals, then it would be real justice.

pathetic…all you got to bey-atch about this morning is clothes for the Palins? Sad.

Consider the Obama you don’t know.

For instance: His “program has three key components, which, taken together, can convert a shaky financial situation into a global depression.” 1-the anti-free trade attitude. 2- he is “committed to strengthening unions by his endorsement of the Employer Free Choice Act, a misnamed statute that forces union recognition without elections and employment contracts through mandatory arbitration thereafter.” 3- “he is in favor of progressive individual taxes and high corporate taxes. It is as though the U.S. does not have to compete for labor and capital in global markets. My fear is that with his strong egalitarian bent, he has not internalized the lesson that high rates do not offset declining revenues. “

I beg to differ. Liberals (especially ultra liberals, not to be confused with all Democrats) do NOT hate real Americans or America. Both liberals and conservatives are Americans. Ultra-liberals just have a large distain for anyone that doesn’t agree or whole heartly affirm with their positions. Especially if you disagree with them based on moral or religious opinions that you may hold. You’re supposed to be “too intelligent” for that kind of thinking. Like humans are the final authority. Liberals love to spout the “you’re intolerant” or “you’re hateful” rhetoric. Example: One of the liberals favorite pet projects - the gay agenda. I do not hate people who are in that lifestyle, I do not discriminate, taunt, … , I rarely even give it a second thought. Let them do what they want and government should not interfere. Neither support, nor ban. It’s a personal choice. But I still hold the opinion that it is an immoral and abnormal choice. But my opinion doesn’t have any effect on their day to day life. Just like you, I’m entitled to my opinion. But when it comes right down to the final analysis, it doesn’t really matter what I think or ultra-liberals think. In my opinion, it will be decided by a higher power than that and I’m not speaking of the courts. What is right will be determined then.

I also hold the opinion that an Obama government is going to spend too much time preoccupied with social entitlements, so that economy will be an afterthought, even though he states it is priority one during the campaign.

A story I once read mentioned a liberal writer and his conservative grandmother. The writer had been discussing the debates and ended up shrugging, “Well, there’s different opinions on what’s best for the country, and that’s a good thing. It would be bad for the country if everyone believed exactly the same way.”

His conservative grandmother’s reply: “No it wouldn’t—not as long as they agreed with me.”

That sums up a big difference in the liberal vs. conservative mindsets.

People….Let’s put things into perspective….LIBERALS and CONSERVATIVES ARE ALL REAL AMERICANS….PERIOD!

WE JUST DIFFER ON FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS ON HOW THIS COUNTRY SHOULD BE RUN!!

Liberals want the “Share the Wealth” to provide for the poor (Lazy?!!) people who would rather leech of the government than succeed.

If you think “Share the Wealth” is a good thing…..think about if it was applied to other things in Life.

Example #1: Teacher says to Johnny, who just scored a 100 on a test, that he is taking 20 points from him to give to Jimmy who only scored a 50. This way, the Teacher reasons, you still get an 80, but Jimmy gets to pass with a 70.

Example #2: You earn a $1000 raise throught hard work at your job because of your hard work ethic and your Boss comes to you and says “I’m taking $200 from your raise and giving it to Lisa because she didn’t earn a raise as she didn’t do a very good job this year, You will still earn a $800 raise, but we need to take care of Lisa, too!”

My question to ALL of you is….Isn’t this the EXACT SAME thing that Obama is proposing to do? Punish those that work hard for the American Dream and then reward those that sit on their butts expecting to be taken care of by America.

I do not mind helping those that truly need the help, I will gladly give to them. But, for the person who has brand new clothes (paid for by my taxes) or who comes to me wanting to trade Food Stamps for money to buy beer (TRUE STORY….happened in my neighborhood supermarket and he asked many people), I do not have any tolerance whatsoever!!!

To Mike@9:23,

Mike, the hateful (inappropriate) stuff comes from a very small minority of the Republican party. I would be confident that the vast majority of the Republican party is not hateful. Their view just vary from yours. Just having a different opinion that varies from yours is NOT the definition of hateful.

What is the “punishment” you speak of in your blog? Do you think something other than being voted out of office should be on the table?

I would agree that much of the conservatives hold their opinions based on religious reasons. In my opinion, you do also, I would say based on your blog, you hold the religion of non-religion. In my book that is a religion also. I think I can safely say that some ultra-liberals truly dislike the current America. That is the flavor of party platform right now, is it not. CHANGE!!! They must not like American that much based on its current state. Michelle said she is finally proud of America. Let’s recall that there is some pretty good things currently about America and not be in a blind rush to CHANGE it too quickly. Not to say that it can’t improve, because it can.

Democrats claim that a vote for McCain is a vote for a third Bush term… I disagree. John McCain is a proven, know commodity and national hero as opposed to George W. Bush who got elected because of his fathers connections.

I believe a vote for Obama is a vote for a second Carter term… I can remember 11% mortgages, 10% unemployment, a weak defense, Iranian Hostages impotence, cancellation of B-1 bomber program, proposed legalization of drugs, massive decline of moral standards, long gas lines and rationing, blame Israel for all the problems of the middle east, higher taxes, more foreign aid, abandonment of NASA and space exploration, banning guns and limiting the rights of gun owners, media censorship, the “fairness doctrine” applied once again to the free press and media, more and more government regulation, restrictions on imports/exports, isolationism and higher tarrifs on trade.

As a professional audio engineer here in Atlanta I have had the opportunity to assemble and operate sound systems Mr. Carter has spoken on many times. Every time I have be in the same room with the man and listen to him speak the hair on the back of my neck stands up straight. Jimmy Carter may be a former POTUS but in my opinion he is wrong on just about every single issue he speaks about. Especially when it comes to politics of the Middle East and America’s role and responsibility as a leading global economic and military power.

Others may differ with my opinion and that is certainly their right to do so however I would ask that the insults, name calling, cursing (spelled with incorrect grammer), and threats & incites to violence cease on these ajc.com blogs. I was living in DC on 9.11.01 and remember walking away from downtown in a crowd of people evacuating on foot. I remember turning on the TV with a stiff drink in my hand and seeing American flags waving, people saying things about how we’re all American, we’re all in this together, and we’d take this on as a country.

I remember months of going to work in downtown DC with constant sirens blaring, bomb threats a few times a week, and news on every radio and TV around.

I went to work every day there because it’s my hometown and I wasn’t going to run away on account of a few hijacked planes. We were less afraid of terrorism than people safely holed up in the heartland.

And after all these wars, all this polarization, those same guys are telling me I’m unAmerican because of where I’m from in America? Now I’m the alien enemy that poses a threat to the embattled white Christians among us? How convenient.

Just goes to show that these people need someone to hate in order to care about what’s going on outside their county.

This is the kind of thinking that gets bad people elected and good people killed.

I’ll never vote that ticket.

Now we’re going to elect Obama so we can continue on the same road. Obama will, among other things, tell us there is nothing wrong with social security. And in a way, he’s right. Any problems won’t affect things till long after he is out of office.

Copyleft, That makes no sense. I’m guessing this writer is Hussein Obama, right? Was that his racist white grandmother? The difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives don’t hide who they are. Liberals hide behind the tolerance and race card. Conservatives can fight their own battles with fact while liberals either call you a racist or a nazi. Conservatives give their own money to charity and church. Liberals want other people to give their money to charity so that they can feel good about themselves. Liberals, when faced with challenges, run and hide somewhere. Conservatives stand up and fight. Why else would our military service men and women vote Republican 10-1? I have a feeling that it is because they know that democrats are pansies who worship at the house of sissy.

I watched a story last night about when Obama’s step father took him to Indonesia with him to go to school, that Obama had to give up his citizenship for the US as Indonesia doesn’t allow dual citizenship…therefore he doesn’t meet the requirements to be President since he’s no longer a citizen of the US.

Why the he** did the leader of your party and her husband lead a charge to get their state “ALASKA” removed as a member of these great United States you all say you love so much. Michelle’s words may have been twisted, but at least she never hated this country like Sarah and Todd Palin. You see they hate this country so much they would rather make Alaska a country unto itself and make like they never heard of the United States of America. Now that’s evidence I can back up, I don’t need my party to back up my claim. If your google bar works “USE IT”.

Yeah, pj, at Palin’s rallies, people might be called traitors, terrorists, k**, n’s, but not one person has been killed yet.

We don’t do that…in public.

Skeptic Tank,

You forgot the divisiveness of the radical left in your comment. It likes to force its will regardless of the will of the masses.

To CommunistAJC and all others who do not beleive me the facts are on Saturday night, October 18th on a CNN show hosted by Don Lemon a tape was showed of supporters heading into a McCain/Palin rally were shouting all sorts of racist and unkind remarks about Obama. Why it was shown so late at night and not repeated is a mystery to me but it did remind me of the days of the “Little Rock Nine” protests the way they were carrying on. IMO it should be shown again so that people like you if disbelive could see it with your own eyes. I am begging anyone else who happen to see it to back me up and if I happen to find it anywhere I will let you know.

pj, do you think that showing these people anything is proof enough. They will just deny they said it, read it, or ever heard of it. Read article above.

pj, So since it was on CNN I should believe you? They have active Obama and Clinton people working there. Besides, show me the hanging bodies and I’ll believe you. Where were the burning crosses? You remind me of Paul Bagala with your quick to judge and quick to accuse rants. Calling people KKK members when there is no evidence is retarded. Go sell stupid somewhere else. By the way, show me the video. Show me the video of Mccain supports yelling racist remarks!

tiff, What proof? Where is the video you speak of? Did your “white workers” do this? Always about whitey isnt it?

Communist, I never said anything about a video. I said put down that crack pipe and use your google bar “DOPEHEAD”. People like you spend your whole life playing the victim. You think all blacks hate whites. That’s why you used the word “WHITEY”. You seem to have less respect for your race than I do, because I would never use that word when referring to your people. You see I don’t judge people by their color I only see their hearts. You, Joe the Plumber, and McLunatic should do a 50 state tour together. Telling about the evils of liberals, that should get McErratic a vote or two. And by the way, there were people at McCrazy and Palins rallies yelling things like terrorist, socialist, kill him. Even McNasty said so himself. He later went on to say he denounced what was being said. If it wasn’t being said why would he denounce it. Selling stupid is a McCain-Palin trademark, and you seem to have bought 1000lbs of it.

Ms., Mrs., Whatever Godzilla:

You can spin it any way you want…..Your “MeeMaw” would be a legitimate claim to get help from the government, but can you sit there and tell me ALL recipients are like her?…Can you tell me that NONE of the recipients could get a job and work for a living instead of sitting around leeching off the government?

IF YOU THINK THAT EVERYONE ON WELFARE IS DISABLED AND DESERVING, I JUST HAVE ONE THING TO SAY TO YOU…..WAKEUP NOW, BECAUSE YOU ARE DREAMING!!!!!!

Obama came in with no policies but a ‘feel good’ factor. Just like Blair in the U.K. Just look at them now.
