House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters in Denver last Wednesday a $150 billion stimulus package is necessary and she may call the House back into session after the election. Why would the left wing tools want to abuse themselves any more than they already do?????

Anyway, it’s a good day to reflect back on a great college day full of upsets once again, except for the Dawgs!

Interestingly enough however, we shall see the first BCS poll this evening. Ah the BCS, college’s scholastic home to yet another gutshot of political correctness. Last year they sent poor widdle Hawaii to the Sugar Bowl to play Georgia. They were annihilated. Their politically correct selection committee decided to bypass Georgia by leapfrogging the (still) Katrina victims of LSU over Georgia in the standings so LSU and their poor Katrina victim fans could finally (sniff, sniff, brings a teat to your eyes, doesn’t it?) have something in their poor, miserable lives worth living for, since George Bush’s storm took it all away!

But psychologists and sociologists have done decades of research showing that buying habits cannot be reduced to a simple matter of personal responsibility. Behavioral economists also have proved that human beings (including Wall Street investors) do not behave out of rational self-interest. Most of us are influenced by cultural cues that tell us to keep buying.

The prescient Galbraith saw it 50 years ago, when he published “The Affluent Society.” He noted then that a nation living in abundance had created excess with little public purpose. And he urged the United States, with its great capacity, to spend more of its capital serving the public good by pouring resources into education, health care and public parks.-Queen Pinko, Urinal/DNC

First, I wish Mr. McCain a longer and happy life with Mrs. McCain, at home, perhaps advocating more actively for veterans. However, with each passing day, I more and more strongly wonder about this: Melanoma that metastisizes frequently does so to the brain. Mr.McCain has yet to reveal his actual records from his last bout of melanoma; he has just given us a summary. If the illness is actually farther advanced than represented (which I certainly hope it is not)… it might explain some of his decisions that seem—what, quixotic?—over the last 4 months. Anyone else worried about this?

I also worry about Mr. Obama’s safety when he wins the election. There are a lot of folks foaming at the mouth over his candidacy. I hope the Secret Service will provide him with excellent protection. And I hope people will pitch in and put self aside and help him work us out of this mess we are in.

I am an equal opportunity worrier, I guess. God bless both the candidates and our country. We have a great opportunity to pull ourselves, collectively, up by the bootstraps as the world watches. We can reclaim the admiration of the world by good, honorable, selfless actions, if we choose them. What will the world see: the US of Guantanamo and greed, or the real US of hardworking people standing shoulder to shoulder without the class warfare and “me-ism” we have experienced for the last decade or more?

During the Democratic primaries, Obama was endorsed by ACORN’s political action committee. And in the early 1990s Obama was involved in teaching community organizing classes for the organization.

Oblahma’s campaign has also shelled out about $800,000 to an ACORN subsidiary, Citizens Services Inc., to help with voter registration efforts. Although ACORN says it is nonpartisan, its registration efforts tend to be focused among groups friendly to Democratic candidates.-Politico

The democrats know full well that they cannot win the vote straight up, so they must take the decision out of the hands of Americans, if they have any hope of getting to the White House.

That’s the same way that the Russians and Iranians “vote.”

Jay must be suffering some kind of sensory overload, or burnout, to toss this kind of bone to the dogs.

And I see many of the dogs have taken the bone and are growling a bit.

Why not talk about something useful? Such as this article from Dale Lindsborg of the Washington Post:

I hope every one is listening, before it is to late. Perhaps there are SOME out there who are beginning to get ‘the picture’. The following is a narrative taken from Sunday Morning’s televised “Meet The Press”. and the author is employed by none other than the Washington Post!! Yeah…the Washington Post of New York and Los Angeles Times fame!! Must say that I’m duly impressed… From Sunday’s Televised “Meet the Press” Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag. Obama Explains National Anthem Stance Sun, 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, General Bill Ginn’ USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain why he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played. The General also stated to the Senator that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171…During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. At the very least, “Stand and Face It”

Senator Obama Live on Sunday states, “As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides, Obama said. ‘There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression. And the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing.’ If that were our anthem, then I might salute it.”We should consider to reinvent our National Anthem as well as to redesign our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we as a Nation of warring people, should conduct ourselves as the nations of Islam, whereas peace prevails. Perhaps a state or period of mutual concord between our governments. When I become President, I will seek a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation have placed upon the nations of Islam an unfair injustice. My wife disrespects the Flag for many personal reasons. Together she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past, many years ago. She has her views and I have mine”. Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put aside my hatred. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path of hope. My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country’s First Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America .

WHAT the Hell !

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right. This could possibly be our next President.

I, for one, am speechless.

Ahhh, yes, whining^^ about the Republicans:

Texas Watchdog compared Harris County’s voter registration roll with the Social Security death index and found more than 4,000 matches — registered voters that, it appears, are already dead.

“I don’t even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy,” Davis said. “We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don’t exist, people who have driver’s license numbers that won’t verify or Social Security numbers that won’t verify. Some have no address at all.”

A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.

More of the same, socialism:

For months, I’ve been fighting for a rescue plan for the middle class. My proposal would mean $3.2 billion in economic stimulus for New York - a shot in the arm that would provide every family immediate relief to cope with rising food and gas prices, help state and local governments maintain essential services in the face of budget shortfalls, and save 64,000 jobs in New York alone by rebuilding our crumbling roads, bridges and schools.-whiny little race baiter, oblahma.

So what the hell does anyone think Bush has been doing for the past 8 years?

Bailout packages, stimulus checks, blah, blah, blah.

Oblahma is Bushie the Third.

Cut the capital gains tax rate from the highest in the free world 35% to 25% and who benefits? The people who create jobs. Why would they continue to leave America other than high tax rates?

Only a moron doesn’t understand this, hi barry!

More domestic oil production; instead of coughing up billions from the treasury to help people “cope” for a week or two, why not drill for more oil, reducing the trade deficit, strengthen the dollar, create millions of jobs in the energy sector, increased tax revenues, lower prices?

You know, not putting a bandaid on the problem, a permanent solution instead of sticking our children with the bill.

Raising taxes on business and lavishing the deadbeats with the “windfalls” will lead to two things; gigantic sell offs on Wall Street, which we have already seen, and business leaving America and finding lower tax burdens.

That ought to be good.

But hey, if that doesn’t work out then will just throw another trillion at the deadbeats.

As chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an educational reform project that William “Timothy McVeigh” Ayers founded, Oblahma presided over a waste of $160 million in donors’ money. The project, under his leadership, failed to improve student achievement in the 210 Chicago schools where it operated, according to the Annenberg Challenge’s final report. And to this day, that project is Oblahma’s only significant executive experience.

Oblahma’s legislative leadership was similar, a case study in wasting other people’s money. In Springfield, Oblahma wrote letters from his public position to get Tony “Jack Abramoff” Rezko $14 million for his slum-development enterprise. Oblahma co-sponsored several pieces of housing legislation favorable to Rezko/Abramoff and other slum-developers, giving them hundreds of millions in subsidies and other tax and regulatory advantages. They in turn funneled money to Oblahma’s campaigns and then let their buildings deteriorate, even turning off the heat on their tenants during the winter. By his own account, Oblahma never bothered to follow up on how the money was spent, but the record shows that he worked in every legislative session to provide more for his developer friends.-NY Post

Bush: ‘Lot of work to do’ before leaving office

Mr. President, PLEASE do the nation a huge favor and just take the next 100 days off, OK?

You’ve done a heckuva job Bushie, now go hide out in Alabama. Again..

Poor John McCain. He voluntarily got in bed with the Religious Reich with that insane selection of Sister Sarah, now the loons are REALLY coming home to roost on his aged head!

DAVENPORT, Iowa (CNN) – A minister delivering the invocation at John McCain’s rally in Davenport, Iowa Saturday told the crowd non-Christian religions around the world were praying for Barack Obama to win the U.S. presidential election.

Are non-Christian religions the enemy to this sick man? Actually he misunderstands, people everywhere are hoping you arrogant christofascists just slither back to the gutter where you belong.

“There are millions of people around this world praying to their god—whether it’s Hindu, Buddha, Allah—that his opponent wins, for a variety of reasons. And Lord, I pray that you will guard your own reputation, because they’re going to think that their God is bigger than you, if that happens,” said Arnold Conrad, the former pastor of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Davenport.

The remark was made before McCain arrived at the rally but the Republican nominee’s campaign quickly put out a statement distancing it.

This incident comes a day after a Minnesota voter said to Senator McCain that Barack Obama was an Arab at a town hall in Lakeville, Minnesota..

McCain must be reeling now, knowing that these religio-scumbags and sociopaths, so representative of the xenophobic “base”, are absolutely killing him witht he very people he needed to win - the independents, centrists and heathens.

Between these awful bible thumpers showing their true feelings and Sarah BarraClueless stupidly playing up the abortion non-issue, it appears that the “debate is over”. (Oops, I think I just Joe Bidened Al Gore!)

Let the Lady speak for herself:

I listened when he defended his unconditional support for unlimited abortions. He said that a woman shouldn’t have to be – quote – “punished with a baby.” He said that right here in Johnstown –“punished with a baby” – and it’s about time we called him on it. The more I hear from Senator Obama, the more I understand why he is so vague and evasive on the subject. Americans need to see his record for what it is. It’s not negative or mean-spirited to talk to about his record. Whatever party you belong to, there are facts you need to know.

Senator Obama has voted against bills to end partial-birth abortion. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation against that practice. Senator Obama opposed that bill. He voted against it in committee, and voted “present” on the Senate floor. In that legislature, “present” is how you vote when you’re against something, but don’t want to be held to account.

Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a Democrat, described partial-birth abortion as “too close to infanticide.” Barack Obama thinks it’s a constitutional right, but he is wrong.

Most troubling, as a state senator, Barack Obama wouldn’t even stand up for the rights of infants born alive during an abortion. These infants – often babies with special needs – are simply left to die.

Running a guy like Obama for president has put America in a position it has not faced in it’s 200+ year political history. The huge racial divide in this country is being forced to accept a candidate that a lot of them do not want in a position of leadership. He is a page out of a book that America has grave doubts about. Call it what you will, but a skepticism exists, even among avid supporters of this guy, that is very hard to ignore. If he is elected, his politics will be shoved down the throat of every doubting American. I am not worried about him being not black enough, more important, I am worried about him being not American enough. His pandering to other countries, wanting to make us more European, worrying about our image abroad……. all of these things take away from the identity that a very large number of Americans do not share. I am very concerned about his socialist politics but more important, I am worried about him preserving what a large number of people view as America. Most political candidates in our past have been Americans first…… I worry about this guy. A lot.

A couple of thoughts: the George Bush, Sr. / Willie Horton campaign was far tougher; so were the Bush 2000/2004 efforts. If anything, McCain’s campaign is subdued in comparison to what we’ve seen on both sides in past years. Indeed, McCain as a vicious campaigner is a complete fabrication, but, again, a brilliant subterfuge on the part of Team Obama that, in fact, has run, via appendages, the far more vicious race. Obama and his surrogates have repeatedly engaged in racial politics (as Bill Clinton lamented when in fury he denounced the “race card”); when there was never evidence that McCain was using race as a wedge issue, it was clear Obama most surely was–preemptively, on at least two occasions, warning Americans he would soon be the victim of opposition racial stereotyping. His surrogates like Biden and those in the Senate continue to link legitimate worries about OBama’s past with racism.-PJ Media

America did not survive the last 200 yrs by being a member of a “family of nations”. Our global experiment in nationalizing trade, removing trade barriers to imports, increasing foreign aid to our enemies, appearing less than strong to an enemy who views weakness as an opportunity….. this has done nothing but weaken our economy, make us more vulnerable to outside threats, decrease the number of jobs nationwide, make our goods worth less in the trade arena and weaken our resolve. Obama has a vision for this country that a lot of us fear. His vision of a “global America” is dangerous, headstrong and so socialist in nature that it will destroy the very fiber of what being America is all about. We did not survive this long by giving away the farm….. to our entitlement crowd, to our foreign enemies who hate us or to other very strong nations out there that want our head on a pole.

I am not talking about black candidates….. can you just put that aside and view the guy in the context of the last two posts? Try it.

Good grief, she really said that?

She was going to USE her 7 year old to stem the boos?

  • She’s a coward.
  • She’s a crappy mother….using your child to protect yourself…
  • but then again, this is the mother who pushed her unwed, pregnant, teenager front and center, to be judged, ridiculed, and discussed ad nauseum.

As a parent, we are to PROTECT AND SHIELD our children-particularly our 7 year old.

This speaks to HER character and HER judgment. Both lacking…

    Ray,

Globalization is the opposite of Isolationism.

With technical advances in transportation and communication, globalization is a natural and necessary outcome. However, the transition is difficult.

The least little bit of research will tell you that linking globalization to socialism is completely erroneous. Globalization supports free market economics while socialism typically demands government control of resources.

As far as America surviving 200 years by not being a member of the family of nations, that is an absurd statement.

For most of that time, America prospered by exporting our industrial output. If there had been no buyers, there would never have been an America with wealth and power. And we have been involved in wars, here and abroad, whereby we have been inextricably bound to other nations and their survival.

Over these 200 years we have had countless treaties, both economic and military.

I hope I’m not wasting my time. I hope you are paying attention. This could go on for hours.

I find it amusing our friends on the right are suddenly concerned about the next President when they allowed the current one to break laws, politicize every agency, broke our government, started a war on lies, torture ,gitmo, destroyed the economy, etc…..

These concerned trolls are only concerned with the left winning this election.

    Then they spew country first.

Laughable. Concern trolls are hilarious and still cling to their failed ideology.

Greetings fellow dimwits and racist Americans, welcome to my very own TV show that thee sycophant drive by media has so graciously given to me, allowing me to speak without rebuttal, as they have been doing for thee past two years, carrying me around like thee Big Baby.

Tonight I will outline thee plan for thee future but first let me make my usual kiss as-s nod to the moonbats in the fever swamps:

Bushie, Bushie, Bushie, Bushie, Bushie, bwa.

That being said, let me tell you how my administration will conduct it’s affairs and govern this racist country.

Since Pelosi and Reed are already in my back pocket there will be no need for me to call them racists, they are good little toadies of mine.

When the American people whine about the depression that I bring about, I will call them racists.

When the Iraqi government protests us leaving them to the tender mercy of the terrorists, I will call them racists.

When the capitalists whine about the massive tax increases I impose upon them, I will call them racists.

When you whine about 8 dollar a gallon gasoline, I will call you a racist.

When Russia whines about only taking control of all of Eastern Europe and not the whole entire continent because America’s defense budget was cut to the bone, they will be called racists.

When the generals in charge of national security complain that they have no planes, no guns, no bombs, I will call them racists.

    Got it, racists?

    Seig Heil!

    Yes, I can!

cc, I’ve read a couple of your posts and the one word that comes to mind is…..NICE.

But I fear there is one glaring problem with your analysis regarding the junior senator from Illinois.

It is lacking in intellectual honesty.

    OBAMA IS NOT BLACK.

Unless you consider his white mother a petri dish who is to be arrogantly dismissed as a total non-factor.

This is a sensitive topic, I know. And there is a great deal of bigotry and misogyny that factors into this.

For example, had his father been white and his mother black, is he a black man?

    Again, the answer is no.

I understand and appreciate that he has embraced his Kenyan heritage (though apparently his biological father was a real scumbag that abandoned his family when the boy was but two years old). But it does not change the fact that he is NOT BLACK. He is a mulatto, a half and half, biracial or a high yellow, if you prefer.

And for the media, the ignorant on the left AND right, and frankly for himself to constantly say that he is black, is simply a lie…

Interesting command from Jay that would better serve a few House Democrats that would amuse without the “m”, preferring to abuse us with the “b”.

House Democrats contemplate abolishing 401(k) tax breaks

    Beware of government bearing gifts.

No Zogby poll update from our doombat friends today? You know, the poll that shows McCain closing in on Obama.

Surely all that hard work the Republican bloggers around here put in during the last week is starting to pay off, right? The Acorn and Ayers damage done to Obama should surely be obvious in the polls by now.

I counted 2,022 posts about Ayers and acorn on Jay’s blog this past week. 2,022 very long posts exposing these issues that made Americans forget all about the economic crisis. Truly amazing, America was totally focused in on the Republican bloggers. Good job!

Whoops, I just noticed that Obama’s lead in the Zogby poll has doubled since Zogby started its daily tracking poll a week ago. Shucks. All the frantic Ayers cut and paste articles for nothing. Didn’t anyone read any of your riveting posts?

Don’t worry though, I’ll post the results of a new poll that shows McCain making his move on Obama right when I can find one.

WASHINGTON - It seems republican campaign workers feverishly filled out voter registrations and handed them in to ACORN workers in only the battleground states, then tipped off authorities that something was wrong.

It is thought that this was done not only to nullify democratic leaning voters registrations, but also in hopes of linking the misdoing to presidential candidate Barack Obama. The FBI is now looking into this matter.

    The RNC denied the claims.

Hope you are correct TN Gelding but I think we will have to persuade our elected members of Congress, especially among the Democrats, on just how intent we are in assuring their “political crucifixtions” should they try to change the rules or laws of this system, to for all intents and purposes, take away employer contribuntions, our tax reduction benifits and essential perform a government takeover of our alternative retirement investments.

If this effort was meant to achive 1) a higher yield for U.S. Citizens invetors 2) create greater investment in government issued securities to raise capital to fund governemnt by means other than taxation 3) less reliance solely on social security benefits, then I think we could come up with a better plan than is now be schemed against us.

According to Time, McCain campaign staffers in Virginia are teaching volunteers to see Barack Obama as having terrorist ‘friends,’ and then providing these volunteers with arguments for persuading voters that Sen. Obama, like Osama Bin Laden, shares responsibility for bombings of the Pentagon.

The report from inside the McCain campaign brings to light an alarming fact: while McCain tells his supporters publicly to refrain from violent rhetoric, he continues to teach his volunteers rhetoric designed to elicit violent responses.

In the article, Time’s Karen Tumulty recounts her visit to a campaign training session in Gainesville, VA, a strategic center for the McCain ground game in Prince William County. What Tumulty describes is a training session hosted by by Virginia’s state GOP Chairman Jeffrey M. Frederick in which volunteers were being trained to see Barack Obama as a terrorist. Tumulty writes:

The McCain campaign invited me to visit Frederick and the Gainesville operation on Saturday morning, to get a first-hand glimpse of its ground game in Prince William County, Virginia, a fast-growing area about 30 miles from Washington, D.C.

With so much at stake, and time running short, Frederick did not feel he had the luxury of subtlety. He climbed atop a folding chair to give 30 campaign volunteers who were about to go canvassing door to door their talking points — for instance, the connection between Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden: “Both have friends that bombed the Pentagon,” he said. “That is scary.” It is also not exactly true — though that distorted reference to Obama’s controversial association with William Ayers, a former 60s radical, was enough to get the volunteers stoked. “And he won’t salute the flag,” one woman added, repeating another myth about Obama. She was quickly topped by a man who called out, “We don’t even know where Senator Obama was really born.” Actually, we do; it’s Hawaii.

I’ll let RW provide the link.

GOP’s ACORN ‘Voter Fraud’ Lie Ramped Up; State Police Raid ACORN Office in Vegas

I had been intending to post an answer to the ongoing —- and quickly escalating —- ACORN smears being issued of late by the GOP enemies of democracy out there, who have decided to intensify their unsubstantiated assaults on the community organization, given its effectiveness at registering millions of low-income voters across the country.

Today’s incredible raid of an ACORN office in Las Vegas —- in hotly contested Nevada, as coincidence would have it —- has forced me to push this to the top of the heap right now. I’ve also posted ACORN’s statement on today’s nonsense in Vegas at the end of this article. Note to corporate media: Be sure not to read or report on that part of the story!

With prospects looking bleak for the Republicans this November, pulling out the old ACORN lie —- in hopes of scaring people away from the polls, causing chaos in November by challenging voters when they show up to vote, and putting in place baseless grounds to contest close results later on (when the GOP become “sore losers”) —- is just about all they have left at this point.

The thanks they receive for registering millions of new voters that nobody else has bothered with, and for notifying officials about questionable registration forms when they turn them in, is that the GOP’s democracy-hating propagandists and election officials run to the media shouting, “ACORN is committing voter fraud! They’ve turned in hundreds and thousands of fraudulent registration forms!”

Of course they have. They have to. By law. But what those GOP despots of democracy always forget to mention is that it was ACORN themselves who notified officials about the potentially fraudulent and/or incomplete forms in the first place!

Again, I’ll let RW provide the link
