Palin abused her power, inquiry concludes
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The investigation of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s behavior in attempting to force the firing of her former brother in law as a state trooper has been released to the public:
“Finding Number One
For the reasons explained in section IV of this report, I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act….
Finding Number Two
I find that, although Walt Monegan’s refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority….
Finding Number Four
The Attorney General’s office has failed to substantially comply with my August 6, 2008 written request to Governor Sarah Palin for information about the case in the form of emails….”
“….I conclude that such claims of fear (of Trooper Wooten) were not bona fide and were offered to provide cover for the Palins’ real motivation: to get Trooper Wooten fired for personal family related reasons.”

And I Repeat:
1) It’s funny (not really) that you liberals said nothing about Hillary’s abuse of power when she fired Billy Dale (a good personal friend of mine) from the White House travel office so she could give the contract to her friends.
2) How about Obama’s SEDITIOUS abuse of authority in trying to secretly negotiate with Iraq’ president regarding troop reductions (in violation of the “Logan Act”) when he made his trip over there. An action at odds with and in total disregard of the Constitutional duties of the Executive Branch of our Republic and one that was far more dangerous to our “troops” than to one lone “trooper”.
3) Integrity is everything. I did my best to practice it during my 37 years with the government but being human I’m sure I failed from time to time. By the book Governor Palin should probably step down. However, if she asked my opinion I would say stay. Why?
Very simple. Because no Democrat has or would ever step down even for something far more serious. It’s sad it’s come to this in our two party system but that’s the way it is.
4) Save your sanctimonious hypocritical outrage for someone else.

No doubt Palin is ruthless and ambitious, but this is much to do about nothing. Maybe this will give McCain an excuse to replace her with the real thing..Hillary.

If McCain is smart, Palin will announce her resignation from the ticket first thing in the morning.
Such a move would be step two toward regaining his dignity. (Step one was when McCain defended Obama before the rabid collection of group-think that showed up for a McCain/Plain town-hall today.)

All you Rabid Righties out there will dismiss or diminish the significance of this report…that’s to be expected. I especially can’t wait to see what AJC/DNC Management has to say; I’m sure it will be hateful, delusional and disconnected from truth and reality. But you Moderates and Undecideds…think about whether you really want someone as petty and vindictive as V.P. Could you really trust her to be in the White House, given this kind of conduct and her Cheney-esque view of the power held by that office? Would you really want her to expand the powers of that office to the point where she and McCain succeed in enshrining discrimination withing the Constitution? Would you really trust her to make decisions for you about abortion, the relationship of Church and State, censorship, women’s rights, health care, sex education and contraception, the economy, and national security?
She has proven to be just an empty-headed, intolerant, hypocritical, selfish, divisive, lying, phony-Joe-Sixpack, incredibly dangerous neocom puppet who will always put her own personal gain ahead of any attempt to actually serve our country and our citizens. The McCain whitewash/stonewalling campaign has failed to mask this viscous fascist, despite wrapping her up in the flag and questioning the patriotism of any and all who oppose her, or simply have different opinions. Defeat these self-serving jackals in November. Send them both out to political pasture and pray that neither ever gains another shred of power. Or, get used to having this pair of tragio-comic nitwits running and ruining this country, and your lives. They will start WW3. Obama/Biden ‘08!

I’m confused about something here.
Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act
How is that the same as “she broke no laws”? Seems like a violation of the state ethics act — a law — would indeed be worthy of prosecution.
And you’d think the woman who’s back story is all about taking on corruption in Alaska state government would be publicly shamed by this finding.
But maybe in Alaska, where getting government contractors to refurbish your vacation home is considered a defensible activity, this isn’t really something you worry about.

State trooper Mike Wooten had been in hot water before Palin became governor over allegations that he illegally shot a moose, drank beer in a patrol car and used a Taser on his stepson, an allegation he admitted to, BTW. The Palins said they feared for their family’s safety after Wooten made threats against them.
FACT - On March 1, 2006, Wooten was notified of the results of an Alaska State Trooper internal investigation. The probe found that Wooten violated internal policy, but not the law, in making a death threat against (former father-in-law) Chuck Heath. Wooten denied having made the threat, but the investigation decided that he had in fact done so. The investigation concluded that the death threat was not a crime because Wooten did not threaten the father directly; therefore, the investigator deemed the threat to be a violation of trooper policy rather than a violation of criminal law. Although the death threat was listed as a violation of trooper policy in the Memorandum of Findings issued on October 29, 2005, it was not mentioned at all in the suspension letter sent to Wooten by Col. Grimes on March 1, 2006.
FACT - Wooten was also found to have violated department policy in using a Taser on his then 11-year old stepson in 2003. He told investigators that he did so “in a training capacity” after the child had asked to be tased. Wooten was going to show Payton (his stepson) what it feels like.
FACT - An internal police investigation initially cleared Wooten on all of the alcohol-related charges, but Col. Julia Grimes, chief of the Alaska state police, overturned that result and found that Wooten did “take [an] open beer with him when he drove away in his trooper vehicle” on one occasion in the summer of 2004, violating both the law and internal trooper policy. Wooten was not on duty; he was wearing “civilian attire.” And he “drove approximately one mile to his residence.”
And now Jay, you and your merry little band of crowing tools will try to eviscerate Sarah Palin for trying to get this fine example of undoubtedly Democrat family virtues your updated version of OJ justice?
Jumping to the defense of this piece of human trash for pure political expediency is just another annotation for your resume. Your little trolls will jump all over it too, because they are too stupid not to.

Yep, Clinton lied about his sexual activity; what man in his right mind wouldn’t?????? All of my female friends said that if they were in the same situation, their husbands had BETTER lie-if for no other reason then to protect the wife involved.
To me? Abuse of power is a MUCH more dangerous charge…lying? dishonorable, stupid—but definitely not right up there with abuse of power….(in Clinton’s case. WhoTF cares who he schtupped???? has NO impact on OUR lives.)
The Bush admins’ abuse of power-by firing prosecutors, holding secretive meetings on the energy policy (cheney and his oil buddies), ignoring subpoenas, yep….all abuse of power-all much more dangerous to our republic.
Republican crazies who will now step in and try to defend this fake woman as a “mavericky maverick” are laughable. I can’t-and won’t- take anything they say as even worth thinking about.
BTW: I don’t think we truly NEED a “co-VP,” do we? Apparently, Palin didn’t do much face-to-face business..probably because she had to consult with “first dude” to get his input.
NO THANKS.

I seriously think we should let McCain have this election, Obabma should just go ahead and concede now. If he doesn’t and he wins, the streets are going to become a shooting gallery as the Republicans are going to start shooting liberuls some more. See they have a right to a permanent “conservative” majority, Karl Rove and Ralph “body bags” reed told them so. We can see their frustrations building even now as they stand at McSame rallies and yell “kill him” at the very mention of Obama’s name. I guess it’s only a “big tent” when they’re winning or need to win, when they’re losing it’s “kill him”… Republicans make it hard for an intelligent person to vote conservative, even if they want to vote conservative. The “big tent” only seems to have room for narrow minds, I guess that’s how they fit all those joo-six-packs in there, eh? wink…wink…

Paulson: a new way to give my friends money!
* the banks, whose management of their own business has been so good that they are probably all bankrupt, are going to get a capital injection which*
gives the government no control - no board members, no votes, no nothing
*does not force them to change how they do business either in their basic business model or in the sense of forcing them to lend, and therefore *
doesn’t necessarily solve the problem, since 350 billion, or whatever, may not be enough to make them solvent. We just don’t know. And,
*even if solvent, they still might not lend, because they still won’t want to lend for below inflation and they still want to keep money dry so they can buy up assets and other companies on the cheap when fire sales occur *
Oh, and by the way, that 8 million dollar loan to the RNC from failing Wachovia is an unsecured loan. So we’ll get to bail out the RNC too!
Isn’t that special!

Bud, Trust me, I didn’t waste time reading your redundant and silly post-my dog had to relieve herself, and I’d rather scoop up her leavings than read YOURS.
;->
Rolling Stone has a lovely insightful article on your boy McCain-which speaks to the person he IS.
McCain’s ties to FM/FM are much closer. Think Davis still receiving money until August-
McCain’s character flaws are too numerous to list….I don’t want an angry old man running the country; a man who panders to every which way the wind blows.
McCain of 2000 is dead; McCain of 2008 is a shadow of that man. The fact that republicans-and former McCain supporters are speaking out about his recent tactics speaks to McCain’s character.
Sorry, I’d rather have Obama, who worked on the same charities/organizations than a “domestic terrorist” (never convicted). Rezko? Old news; little there…
Now, your pretty, pretty princess? Cronyism; nepotism; abuse of power…and gee, she’s a fast learner, isn’t she….I mean, she hasn’t been in politics all that long.
I’m sure Big Daddy Mac is as proud of her as you are.
And Bud, as you’ve proven yourself to be really racist and ignorant, I shall place YOU too on the /ignore list. I’ve found most of your comments to be, shall we say, disingenuous, and pretty useless.
Why don’t you wander over to Wooten and spew your trash? It isn’t really welcome here, and quite honestly, stinks up the place,….

Mrs. G,
Good morning-almost time for our NPR fix….! ;-)
I am seriously wondering where our government’s priorities lie…..
We keep throwing money at businesses and then allow them to regulate themselves…..
And now throwing money at banks to help them because they handed out stupid giant loans?
Meanwhile, I was given $100 to supply my 75 students for the year this year. Educational programs are being sliced and diced. Healthcare? Premiums and co-pays are jumping….and GA teachers are not getting the 2.5% raise (I was recognized as one of GAs “Master Teachers,” I guess for my creativity in making insane budgets work, too?)—so i will, in January, bring home much less than i am today.
It would be a welcome change to have our country focus on families and people first-businesses and bailouts last.
Wondering, when I can finally retire in 17 years (if the TRS still is solvent!) will someone offer ME a “golden parachute?”
Nah. Thinking more like cake and punch in the media center….!

My husband refuses to talk to her-the only time I’ve ever heard him yell at her was during the 2004 election, when she refused to vote (she voted W in 00-and took a beating from her family for it LOL)….
I still don’t understand how anyone can be undecided this late in the game, do you???? I mean, at this point, there has to be SOME opinion formed?
I find as I get older, i become more “moderate.” I think that’s just a sign of getting older (ugh) and wiser (yay). However, while I try really hard to look at the issue from all sides, sometimes it just doesn’t make sense to look any further….I belong to a political discussion group. We have people of “all stripes.” Amazing-we’ve never devolved into the ugly name calling etc that goes on here….maybe because the relative anonymity of typing on a screen goes a long way in giving people courage to be nasty?
Just rambling this morning, waiting for my manly-men to wake UP and keep me company…LOL sorry!
Time to be domestic; maybe the smell of home made biscuits and pancakes will stir them…..

An idiot using the word Fact, does not make it a fact. The irrelevant Butt Wiser is trying to change the definition of the word. He must think he’s an “activist judge”. What continues to amaze me about the right wing republicans is the hate, the lies, the duplicitousness and absolute evil of those who claim to be Christians. Even John McCain knows what I’m talking about. I think it’s caused him to take a look in the mirror and he hates what he sees. He seems to be regaining some of the character he lost when he decided to get in bed with the far right wing of his party. It’s too little too late, but I’m beginning to believe he’s sincerely sorry that he didn’t remain true to himself during this whole fiasco of a campaign. When Obama wins this thing, the country will have taken a huge step into the future. It’s about time.

Bill Ayers and his wife Bernadette Dorhn are no different than Timothy McVeigh (blew up the Federal Bldg in Oklahoma City) except McVeigh was more competent in his bombing and therefore killed many innocent people.
Ayers and his wife are both on record, in their own voices, saying they wish they had done more bombing and Ayers is on record bragging that he was guilty but in this country would get away with it. No repentance to this day.
All were bombing US govt buildings in retaliation for US govt actions. All deliberately meant to kill.
Three domestic terrorists, one rightly executed and convicted, the other two excused for their crimes and now implementing “progressive” education agendas. Both also happen to be “acquaintances” of the Democratic nominee.
McVeigh = Ayers = Dorhn. Left-wing, right-wing shouldn’t matter.
The public must demand a full accounting of the alliance between Obama and Ayers since the press won’t do it, or in Jay’s case, will even mock those who ask the questions.
Be honest now….Wouldn’t you be demanding the same if it was a Republican nominee and Tim McVeigh?

So, Palin is another dirty politician. What else is new?
And Barack Obama?
First there was Jeremiah Wright and his blatant anti-white racism from which Obama distanced himself.
Then we learn of Bill Ayers terrorist past and his direct ties to Obama through the Annenberg association.
And now we have the spectre of Tony Rezko looming over the Obama campaign. Rezko directly funded Obama’s early political career and even helped in the purchase of their current home. Rezko is a convicted criminal who helped fund dirty politicians in the state of Illinois including the Democratic Governor, Rod Blagojevich.

The problem with this allegation is that Sarah’s sister Molly was there when her husband shot the Moose and didn’t lodge a complaint at that time. Then Molly took the Moose to her father’s house to further enjoy the feast, in which her father became an active participant. No complaint was lodge at the time.
The tasering incident appears to have taken place prior to the incident with the Moose and yet no official complaint was lodged at the time and Molly was still content in her marriage, that she went Moose hunting with her husband.
Almost every incident seems to have happened prior to Molly seeking a divorce, but doesn’t appear to be the official reason that she wanted a divorce.
It does appear to be the vindictiveness of a family who abused the power that Sarah Palin had as a government official. Once Palin became governor, she decided that it was within her power and she did everything to satisfy that vindictiveness. Not only that, but she allowed her husband Todd to use her “Official” government office to hold meetings with an appointed official in her administration. That within itself shows disrespect for the people who elected her as governor. Todd Palin is not a part of the administration and should not have been using the governor’s office for what is considered government business. It became government business when someone on Sarah’s staff PRE Scheduled the meeting in the governor’s office, specifically for the First Gentleman.
Also, both Sarah’s dad and sister Molly should have been punished for the moose incident. Molly’s sister should have been punished as well for allowing her son to be tasered, because she didn’t lodge an official complaint back in 2003. Why wait until well into 2005, right in the middle of a divorce to bring up things that happened in the past when you were obvious content with the marriage.
No where did it say that it took the State Troopers office 2 years to punish Trooper Wooten for the taser incident. WHY wait that long?????

252K+ voter registrations in the Philadelphia area 57K+ are bogus registrations One registrant registered 15 times There were fake SS#s, fake dates of birth and same signatures on most of the forms. ALL THIS COMPARISSON WITH BILL CLINTON
Is this supposed to be comedy hour? Are you left nuts serious?
Bill Clinton was caught red handed committing perjury. He was impeached for it and later lost his law license because of it.
Bush fired 8 Federal prosecutors. Clinton fired ALL 93 sitting Federal prosecutors at a time when he was being questioned about some shady land deals in Arkansas as well as some other strange events.
Cheney was secretive about his energy summit?
Do you remember, or even know, that Hillary convened a secretive summit on health care to create a government medical system? Do you also know that the Clinton Administration was subsequently sued over that meeting by the Physicians and Surgeons Association and lost? They had to pony up 300,000 dollars.
I would not be surprised to see the MSM run waving this Palin news in the street next week but completly IGNORING this news:
Between March 23rd and October 1st, various groups, including ACORN, submitted over 252,595 registrations to the Philadelphia County Election Board” with 57, 435 rejected for faulty information.

Perhaps you could explain how Citizen Svcs only routed $80K to ACORN and not $800K. Perhaps you could explain the laws surrounding voter registration forms and how they’re required by law to be turned in if they are complete, even if they appear to be bogus. Perhaps you could explain how ACORN is the problem when ACORN is the one raising the questions about bad registrations with local law enforcement.
Perhaps you could also explain how Republicans are losing this election up and down the ballot all on their own and are wasting their time hunting for a bogeyman named “voter fraud” when very little proven voter fraud exists.

Oh this is so shocking. If this is the best the liberals can do for a Pumpkin Surprise, there is still hope. Let’s review the findings from the partisan hatchet job on Palin, shall we?
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The politically charged investigation into Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is over, and its conclusions are stinging. But the fallout, if any, might not come until Election Day.
A legislative investigator found that Palin violated state ethics laws and abused her power by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper.
The next move may be at the ballot box. The legislative committee that released the report Friday recommends no criminal investigation and has no authority to sanction the governor, the Republican vice presidential nominee.
But, watch these little wormy liberals ignore Barney Frank telling Bushie & Co. to stick it on increasing Fannie and Freddie regulation. Watch these little wormy liberals ignore ACORN voter registration fraud and fraud all over this nation, while using such brilliant terms such as “anger”, “hate”, and “racist” in their rhetoric in countering our talking points. You want to read about some Democrat voter fraud that CNN or the AJC won’t report? Otay…
The New York Post:
CLEVELAND - A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.
The Houston Chronicle:
The push to register voters for this year’s presidential election is breaking records.
More than 1.9 million people are registered to vote in Harris County alone.
But how many of the people listed on the voter roll are actually eligible to cast a ballot?
Investigative reporter Amy Davis shows you how hundreds of voters could sway this year’s election — voters who are not even alive.
Texas Watchdog compared Harris County’s voter registration roll with the Social Security death index and found more than 4,000 matches — registered voters that, it appears, are already dead.
The New York Post (again):
CLEVELAND - Two Ohio voters, including Domino’s pizza worker Christopher Barkley , claimed yesterday that they were hounded by the community-activist group ACORN to register to vote several times, even though they made it clear they’d already signed up.
Barkley estimated he’d registered to vote “10 to 15” times after canvassers for ACORN, whose political wing has endorsed Barack Obama, relentlessly pursued him and others.
Yahoo! News (AP):
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Officials in Missouri, a hard-fought jewel in the presidential race, are sifting through possibly hundreds of questionable or duplicate voter-registration forms submitted by an advocacy group that has been accused of election fraud in other states.
Charlene Davis, co-director of the election board in Jackson County, where Kansas City is, said the fraudulent registration forms came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. She said they were bogging down work Wednesday, the final day Missourians could register to vote.
“I don’t even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy,” Davis said. “We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don’t exist, people who have driver’s license numbers that won’t verify or Social Security numbers that won’t verify. Some have no address at all.”
And you liberals want to bellyache over Palin throwing out a man who drank while on duty and tasered a child, irrespective of how many times Hillary Clinton threw out people when she wasn’t even a president in the White House. So not surprising really, in the larger realm of things.

(I see Bookman is back to his usual crap, pulling my posts because of rightwingnut crybabies.)
I must say, Obama is running a brilliant campaign. While I still am not willing to misunderestimate the red voter’s stupidity and hatemongering and declare an Obama victory, Obama has played y’all real well.
We saw it first in West Virginia, when Hillary stooped to conquer that primary.
Her fairly blatant appeal to racism brought the loonies out of the woodwork.
During that portion of the campaign, America began to be regularly exposed to the insanity, stupidity, superstitious and vile nature of far too many of its citizens - e.g. the clowns that think Obama is Arab, that he is a terrorist, that he is a Commie, a foreigner, the not-so-closeted racists, etc.
Hilary won the Battle of West Virginia, but lost the war.
She won the “Joe Sixpack” vote - but what Obama got was their exposure. Joe Sixpack came to center stage of our political process.
Hensley-McCain floundered over the summer. Obama stayed on his message, hope and change, while the indecencies and incompetencies of the Bush GOP administration piled ever onward and higher. The Joe Sixpacks rumbled and grumbled, and then Hensley-McCain threw them some red meat in the form of Governor L-o-l-a Palin.
Joe Sixpacks ate her up, drooling over her, wetting their pants over her. Her acceptance speech was filled with homespun hate and bile, and they loved her for it. (That and the pictures of her with the big gun, which is another post… although Bookman might pull that one too ;-)).
On the campaign trail, she gave them the simple-minded hate and character assassination that, after 20 or so years of hate radio and Fox, and 40 years of Southern Strategery politics, had become like their mother’s milk for them. Stoked by their lust for hate, their fear of the future, Joe Sixpack became even more unhinged. Her campaign rallies became more mob-like.
Unfortunately for Hensley-McCain, the Google, the internets and video cameras have undermined his Joe Sixpack strategery. Hundreds of videos show the Joe (and Jane) Sixpacks for what they really are - hatefilled cowardly bullies.
This uncomfortable truth has more and more Republicans saying enough - I am not rabble, I am not going to be part of a bloodthirsty mob, I AM NOT ONE OF YOU MORONS.
Meanwhile, Obama and Biden stay above the fray, not getting in the gutter with Hensley-McCain, L-o-l-a Palin, and their bully crowd. They rattle the cage every once in awhile, and watch the GOPers consume themselves with their own hate and bile, hoping that exposure to the light of public opinion will begin to kill the cancer that the Hensley-McCain campaign has become.
Like I said, I still think you Joe Sixpacks will probably pull it out November 4. Our country has been a nation run by whiners, haters, and losers on and off since 1968.
But Senator Obama has run a brilliant campaign, and done humanity a great service by standing strong in the face of hatred, stupidity, and the unceasing slanders of his opponents. He has played a masterful game of ‘rope-the-dopes’ since West Virginia, letting his opponents show us their true natures.
November 4th is not so much an election as a character test of the American people.
So bully boys and girls and decent folk - are we a nation of bullies and cowards, or not?
There are a lot of you Joe (and Jane) Sixpacks out there…
Stay tuned…

McCain/Palin were to win - they’d also be amongst firsts 1) Former drug addict 1st Lady 2) Senator to initially vote against MLK day 3) Guy aged 72 4) 44 year-old VP that claims foreign policy expertise based on her ability to see. 5) first woman VP who has an unwed pregnant teenager as 6) First duo to both be sanctioned by the government for unethical behavior.

Sorry, I just had to finish off my quick time on this blog today with another ACORN story since we have a lot of flat earther fraud denialists out there (I’m sorry Byte, that includes you my friend). And this comes from Harry Reid’s neck ‘o the woods. As AJCM would say, oh thee irony:
From Breitbart (AP):
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.
A Nevada secretary of state’s office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.
No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.
Secretary of State spokesman Bob Walsh says ACORN is accused of submitting multiple voter registrations with false and duplicate names.
The raid comes two months after state and federal authorities formed a task force to pursue election-fraud allegations in Nevada.

Oh, and to continue your theme, John Adams was the first President to have sex in the White House.

Democratic state Senator Hollis French, the lead investigator, already was caught promising his party that the results of the probe would be an “October surprise” that would “likely be damaging to the administration.”
Coghill wrote in the letter that French was quoted in media reports that the results of the probe were going to be an “October surprise” that is “likely to be damaging to the administration.” The comments lead Coghill to believe the investigation is lacking in fairness, neutrality and due process, he wrote.
So who is it that is abusing power, huh?

Ethics is not a partial issue. You are either ethical or not…sort of like being pregnant…Oh Sorry Sarah! And rationalizing that because others do it gives one reason to say it is okay is moronic, regardless of what party you support. But when you raise the flag of ethics as one of your cornerstones of your agenda and qualifications, you invite more scrutiny, and yes, a larger issue when you violate them.

AJC/DNC: Another red herring on your part.
If you had bothered to quote the following two paragraphs:
French said he said some things he probably shouldn’t have, but noted that he is not in charge of gathering the facts and writing the report. Prosecutor Stephen Branchflower was hired to conduct the investigation and the integrity of the probe remains intact, he said.
“The reason we hired Steve Branchflower was to avoid this entire discussion. Sooner or later everybody gets accused of partisanship no matter what you’re doing,” French told the AP.
So who’s abusing your brain, huh?

Branchflower And Democrat Hollis French Are Former Colleagues. “French will supervise Branchflower. French, also a former prosecutor and colleague of Branchflower, has told the council that the investigator will go to work gathering evidence and could come back to lawmakers if ‘some people just won’t talk.’ The House and Senate Judiciary Committees could then issue subpoenas to compel testimony.” (Megan Holland, “Branchflower Will Investigate Monegan Case,” Branchflower And Walt Monegan Were Colleagues.-Anchorage Daily News, 8/2/08)

L-o-l-a Palin, Con(wo?)man
WASILLA, Alaska — The camera closes in on Sarah Palin speaking to young missionaries, vowing from the pulpit to do her part to implement God’s will from the governor’s office.
What she didn’t tell worshippers gathered at the Wasilla Assembly of God church in her hometown was that her appearance that day came courtesy of Alaskan taxpayers, who picked up the $639.50 tab for her airplane tickets and per diem fees.
An Associated Press review of the Republican vice presidential candidate’s record as mayor and governor reveals her use of elected office to promote religious causes, sometimes at taxpayer expense and in ways that blur the line between church and state.
Since she took state office in late 2006, the governor and her family have spent more than $13,000 in taxpayer funds to attend at least 10 religious events and meetings with Christian pastors…

If you’re on a Board that convenes once a year, how much do you really know about your fellow board members? Ray, I do not give a crap about who “Our Sarah” fired. I do however care a lot about her stance on abortion, gun control, and the environment and her seeming lack of ability to communicate without a script to follow. I have a big problem with her declaring her being on “God’s side”. I mean, that can be interpreted in many ways. Who is to say she is not planning her own little version of Revelations, waiting to be raptured. KEEP YOUR GOD OUT OF MY WHITEHOUSE!!!!
