Chambliss on the endangered list

This analysis of the Chambliss-Martin Senate race is plausible to me. It consists of a series of “ifs” regarding voter turnout, which is always dangerous, but each “if” does seem reasonable.

Bottom line: He thinks it’s become a toss-up race, a conclusion supported by three consecutive polls showing the race within the margin of error. It’s also consistent with Democratic surges in places such as North Carolina and Virginia.

A lot depends on whether such surges are temporary or will last into November. Every day for the past two weeks, I’ve thought that this must be Obama’s peak in the polls, and instead every day his numbers get better.

I’m one of those that didn’t like the way he dissed Max Cleland, but he is a respected member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. We might need him to keep the Dems in check if they maintain the majority and capture the WH.

When are you going to write about Obama’s past associations with Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Writght, Tony Rezko?

Or his school years?

Or Joe Bidens’s misstatements during the VP debate? (Funny, no news coverage about that in the AJC.)

Or the criminals that ran Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac still walking free? (Again no AJC)

Or John Kerry never releasing his military records? (Again no AJC)

Or are you just too busy wishin’ and hopin’ that Jim “failed economic policies” Martin has a snowball’s chance?

Mr. Wooten, thank you for the good news!

Old Vet, many of the chickenhawks voted against giving these guys a break. Of ANY kind. One of the more disgusting contributors here actually posited that it “would break the military”!!!

And most of these never-served, never-will neo-cons agreed with the Hero of the Texas ANG to send the troops back time and time and time again to that sh!thole. Stop loss. Walter Reed. You name it. The cowards in the GOP have by and large been no friend to the veteran.

Fortunately there are a bunch of bright young combat veterans (ALL Democrats, of course) that are vying for seats in Congress.

As for Suxtobeus Chambless, I would not shake his hand if he offered it to me.

The only politician I can truly say that about.

I hope that this is the year we get rid of the biggest POS to ever represent Georgia. (And considering we’ve had Barr, Gingrich and McKinney, that is really something!)

The Obama campaign has come out saying that Barack Obama was unaware of former Weather Underground member William Ayer’s past when the two met more than a decade ago (when Obama kicked off his Illinois political carrer in Ayer’s living room).

When Rev. Wright went on a tirade before the National Press Club, Barack Obama came out and said “This is not the man I knew.”

When Tony Rezko was being exposed as a crook, Barack Obama came out and said “This is not the Tony Rezko I knew.”

Is America dumb enough to believe that Barack Obama was clueless about THREE NOTORIOUS MEN IN A ROW? Three men closely associated with him, no less?

This is change? This guy who used the political machines in Chicago to get opponents off the ballot on technicalities?

I thought the AJC editorial board was immersed in election laws. Where’s Cynthia Tucker on that one?

This is change? Or maybe we’re supposed to believe that Barack was unaware of the type of people he was associating with over long periods of time. Is that it? Might that be a reason to question his judgement then?

This is change? A socialist, radical left wing candidate who hates America and whose wife was never proud of her country but now wants to be first lady so she can be proud of it?

What kind of change is this?

Frankly my left nuts, I don’t believe that America will elect a man with all of this baggage. I could be wrong. We’ll see. The internet’s a nasty thing when you’re trying to hide something.

Nothing ever changes, democrats are still nothing more than power hungry bald faced liars:

The Clinton years hold some good lessons on both these scores. Back when Mr. Clinton was campaigning for president in 1992, he made a pretty direct pitch: Raise taxes on people making more than $200,000, and use those revenues to fund tax relief for the “forgotten middle class.”

On page one of the New York Times, the paper described the fate of the middle-class tax cut (under KKKlinton) this way: “Families earning as little as $20,000 a year — members of the ‘forgotten middle class’ whose taxes he promised during his campaign to cut — will also be asked to send more dollars to Washington under the President’s plan.”-Wall Street Journal

Even all of the Demoncrap dirty tricks in the world (like throwing out the votes of military servicemen and women, registering ex-cons, the homeless and drug addicts and a democrat favorite, dead folks voting) will be just enough to push a murderous terrorist like Obama to a crushing defeat in the November election.

Dream on traitors!

What are the odds that Osama runs for re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2010 after losing in November? Is Osama really in the Senate to serve his country or did he just use election to the Senate as a shoddy springboard for his hapless and pathetic political career? Speaking of hapless and pathetic, why aren’t there any other Democrats out campaigning for Obama in Georgia? Could it be that Democrats running for office in Conservative Georgia would have even less of a shot of winning if they support a anti-American blue-state radical like Obama in a Patriotic Conservative red state like Georgia? Could be that a marxist left-wing radical like Obama just doesn’t connect with the traditional down home values of Georgia voters? Just a thought.

Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Pfleger, William Ayers and Antoin Rezko are not just people who happened to be at the same place at the same time as Barack Obama. They are people with whom he chose to ally himself for years, and with some of whom some serious money changed hands.

Obama could have allied himself with all sorts of other people. But, time and again, he allied himself with people who openly expressed their hatred of America. No amount of flags on his campaign platforms this election year can change that.-Thomas Sowell, Real Clear Politics

Chambliss is a shame on Georgia. Max Cleland deserved better then what Georgia did to him. Palin is not ready for anything other then a AMWAY convention.

The difference between myself and most Americans is most Americans believe we can force our will on the world by military force. Albeit, that figure is changing somewhat because of the Iraq war.

In the fall of 1967 on Vietnam’s DMZ nearly 2000 marines tried to prevent 35,000 North Vietnamese soldiers from coming across the DMZ.. Not only did they not prevent communist soldiers from coming across into South Vietnam, but the numbers of North Vietnamese soldiers increased to the point a few months later the 1968 Tet happened, and battles like Khe Sahn and Hue City killed and wounded many more US Marines.

I was at Con Thien with Echo Company 2nd Bn. 4th Marines. I was wounded in November, and spent the next 8 months reading the Stars and Stripes reading names from a hospital bed of my friends who died. My unit 2nd Bn 4th Marines won 4 Congressional Medals of Honor from September 67 to May 2nd 1968.

This is why I am voting for Obama. I am voting for Obama because he sees limits to American military power, and sees the full power of Americans at home. Obama sees we can change the world not only by military force but by the force of example. John McCain still after all these years does not understand military force should only be used after every other solution to an international problem does no

Iknow a bit of underwriting life insurance contract and I am familiar with actuarial mortality tables. The odds for Sarah Palin of becoming the president of the USA in the next four years, if they are elected, are huge. The media do not want to ask several independent insurance guy aboutm the odds. Chicken?

McCain is an old man, age 72, with cancer entering a high preasure cooking job, that age even younger men. Whay take this gamble? Why not telling the american people about the odds that this sick person might die of natural causes in the next years. I know the odds. AJC Mangement: “We are witnessing what Germany was in the 1930’s and Russia is to this day, hacks and goons pretending to be serious, all the while spewing pre programmed propaganda on behalf of the state or the party apparatchik.”

I couln’t agree more, Management. Last week for example I saw this clip of the most amazing exchange between the host of a news show and a member of the US House of Reps. The anchor became extremely agitated and by the time it was over, he was shouting at the top of his lungs and making the most bold-faced attacks. Your reference to Germany in the 30s is a good one. Street thugs wearing brown shirts intimidating their opponents. Because if might ultimately makes right, why not use whatever means are at your disposal to intimidate your opponents? Whether it’s a billy club or a talk-show bully pulpit, it’s all the same. Yeah, the Germany reference is very apt, because ultimately what it shows is a belief that partisanship — and ideology — is ALL, that it is 100% determinate of the value of what a person has to say. So if you oppose it, why listen? Why not just shout it down instead?

Thanks Management for the apt historical reference. You sound like a really wise person. I appreciate your contribution. I can see why someone would want to take a bullet on a battlefield just for no other reason than to ensure that you have the right to state your views, even if that person passionately oppose them. That’s what’s really sublime about this good country here of America.

I suppose the larger issue is whether or not we are witnessing the end of the GOP.

We are only days from video of greasy, atavistic slack-jaws screaming the n-word when Palin mentions Obama’s name. Of course, these manifestations of GOP class and intellect will be instantly disseminated around the nation and the world, further degrading the corroded brand “Republican Party.”

The good news is that as McCain and Palin finish off the worse Presidential campaign in history (and Obama/Biden finish the best), the stupid racism of a platform that essentially is “elect me because of William Ayers and Rev Wright” will translate into huge Democratic gains in the House and Senate. And the national joke that is Sarah Palin will become the frontrunner for the GOP nod in 2012 (unless Jesus shows up first, that is).

I wonder if The Old Angry Stupid White Male will be stuffed and displayed in Museum of Natural History in a few years.

God knows, their time has come and gone.

ACORN office in Vegas raided in voter-fraud probe.

By OSKAR GARCIA

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.

A Nevada secretary of state’s office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

No one was at the ACORN office when state agents arrived with a search warrant and began carting records and documents away.

Secretary of State spokesman Bob Walsh says ACORN is accused of submitting multiple voter registrations with false and duplicate names.

The raid comes two months after state and federal authorities formed a task force to pursue election-fraud allegations in Nevada.

You Obama supporters are virtual mind number robots spewing the Democrat talking points. Those talking points are basically to redirect attention away from the serious matter of with whom Obama associated, with whom he did business, and from whom he accepted advice and money.

Obama is a former attorney for ACORN; Obama has supported ACORN and sought funding through the Federal Government for ACORN, the same ACORN that sought expansion of Freddie and Fannie lending practices, the same ACORN that registered 16,000 voters in 2004 in Ohio of which only 6 were legitimate. Obama wrote a foreward to William “weather underground radical” Ayers book. How often do people who don’t know an author write a foreward to that author’s book? Ayers and Obama budgeted, depending upon whose records you check, between $40 million and $60 million through a Foundation. To whom and to where did all the money go? Obama got a sweetheart deal on his residence from Tony Rezko, a man now convicted of multiple felonies.

I find it quite unbelievable that Obama claims he warned of the impending mortgage crisis 2 and 4 years ago, yet there is no record of either. I find it unbelievable that Obama says he suggested new regulations for Fannie and Freddie 2 and 4 years ago, yet there is no record of such. I find it unbelievable that Obama can recall he made multiple suggestions of impending collapse, yet there is no record of such. But what I find most unbelievable is Obama sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years, was married by the man, yet he is unable to recall any of the hate filled and appalling sermons we’ve all be subjected to; I find it unbelievable that Obama can claim he had ‘no knowledge’ of William Ayers radical domestic terrorists history. What I do find believable is, Barack Obama is dangerous, the REAL Obama has kept himself and his agenda hidden from an adoring, fawning, walking in lock step news media which has seen fit to give him a pass. The same media that has spent countless hours in Alaska delving into a Governor has devoted virtually no time to who the real Barack Obama is, where he comes from, who his friends are, who his associates are. Amazing, simply amazing how the Fourth Estate has abandonded its responsibilities in its zeal to see this man elected.

Employees being hired at McDonald’s are subjected to more of a background check than the potential future President of the United States of America. Jay Bookman, Cynthia Tucker, ABC, NBC, CNN, CBS, NY Times, Washington Post, have abandoned the responsibility entrusted to investigate issues and politicians, their history, associations and background the very things that make the politicians who they are and bring them to the light of day in there rush to annoint Barack Obama. It’s a good thing Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein had more integrity than today’s crowd or else Richard Nixon would have gotten away with his petty crime.

Journalists should hang their heads in shame.

Saxby Chambliss is the perfect example of why I stopped voting Republican many years ago… When a politician gets a 100% rating from the “Christian” Coalition, that gives me GREAT reason to fear that person. It is well past time to get religion out of politics, and start treating ALL Americans EQUALLY. In Saxby’s mind, the Pledge of Allegiance doesn’t end with the word “All”, it ends with “All White, Heterosexual, Christian Men”. Both are useless crooks who need to be voted out immediately.

Obama said he sat in that church for 20 years and did not know that the minister taught that racial hated and hate america theology. WELL IF HE SAT THERE FOR 20 YEARS AND DID NOT KNOW, HE IS THE DUMBEST POOR SON OF B*** ON THE PLANET, therfore he is too dumb to be dog catcher, much less president of the greatest country on earth.

On the other hand IF HE DID KNOW, then HE IS A BALD FACE LIAR, and unfit to be dog catcher, much less the president of the greatest country on earth.

Either way OBAMA is not qualified to be president of the USA.
