Go watch some October baseball…

I’ll be rooting for the Red Sox to go up 2-0 on the Angels.

Unlike those White Sox, who look to be going down 0-2 to the Rays. Some people just don’t know how to pick ‘em.

Good evening, Jay. Enjoy your game.

Jay! Buddy! Does this mean there is no more need for discussion about the election? Yeah, I agree… the poll numbers pretty well tell us what we need to know. When your erudite contemporary, the inestimable Mr. Wooten, has conceded that the Republican nominee for the Vice President is woefully unqualified for the position, it is indeed a cause for celebration. However, I must disagree with your baseball analysis… go Rays!!!

Here’s hoping Number 99 gets back to Fenway. The greatest ballplayer of our time.

(Chi-town fans - pour a beer on ‘em, they think it’s raining. Loserville.)

Aahhh, yes, thee kookman from Atlanta, home of the brave, rooting for the Red Sox.

How appropriate.

So who’s thee favorite football team, homer?

By the way, you are all welcome to come meet Mr. Management in person next Sunday at the Dome, I’ll be wearing the navy blue and orange jersey with the number 54 prominently displayed on it, and I will be talking smack to thee meek and spindly Dirty Bird fans as the Bears trample the Falcons before your very eyes.

You’re gonna just love our new running back.

Way to go out on a limb Jay B.

You say you’re rooting for the BoSox to go up 2-zip and you leave your prediction right there. Why not step up to the plate and make a real prediction?

Like this:

I’ll go with the Phillies and Dodgers moving on with the Phillies going to the series. Tampa Bay will lose the ALCS to the California-Anaheim-Los Angeles-Angels-of-Anaheim. The Rally Monkeys will win the World Series over Philly in 7.

The Rays have to get by Floyd and Danks at the Cell first, but if they should, I see them beating the Dodgers in six.

My prediction is looking brutal with the big BoSox start tonight, but at least I made one.

Go Bears!

I think it will be LA and Boston with Boston winning in 7.

Keep guessin’, truth. Sooner or later you’ll get something right.

And Management, I think the term you’re looking for is “frontrunner,” not “homer.” Geez. I gotta do remedial work even in sports.

As for the Red Sox, that’s been an affliction going back to ‘67, when my dad was stationed in Massachusetts and the “Impossible Dream” Sox went to the World Series. They lost in seven, of course.

A lot of bad karma after that, but that was then. The Curse is dead, and today the Sox win pretty often. Eleven straight postseason against the so-far hapless Angels. Been there done that; winning is better.

Not just in sports.

As to football teams? Pro: Steelers. (By the early ’70s, we had been transferred to Pittsburgh). College, Penn State. I’m thinking it’s time for JoePa to step down, but on the other hand, he’s got the #6 squad in the country.

Not sure that’s for real, altho we’ll find out.

Actually, “homer” is a term for the local team’s announcer who can’t help cheering for his “home” team during the broadcast.

I noticed you didn’t suffer that dilemma during the baseball playoffs.

Since it seems as though you wait until the third or fourth game in a series before you decide who is going to win, I just thought I’d try to pin you down a little early in the football season.

Falcons, no?

After reading Cynthia Tucker’s Oct 5 opinion piece “Voter ID laws a GOP tactic of cynicism” (and numerous others she “writes”), I wish she had the cojones to have a blog similar to Jay’s — How about it Jay???? Maybe even a test blog with Cynthia???

OJ guilty on all counts.

[[ Simpson, 61, could spend the rest of his life in prison. Sentenced (sic) was set for Dec. 5.]]

Karma.

It’s on topic - convicted of robbing sports memorabilia dealers.

Still, there’s enough Klan activity on Mr. Bookman’s and Mr. Woo-ten’s Klan blogs without Ms. Tucker having to expose herself to the racist and sexist insults of most of the regular AJC bloggers.

Have another beer and go crawl back under your trailer.

I’m afraid Trash nails the problem. She has gone on online in the past and draws the most vile crowd and comments imaginable. Makes y’all look like Girl Scouts.

Cynthia Tucker has said some of the most vile comments imaginable and then publishes them weekly as though they are the truth.

Perhaps, and I make no brief for the “crowd” that she attracts, she could not make the bed that she has to lie in?

Wingnuts have feelings too, you know.

Whoever is meant to win in November will win. Yet, regardless of who wins, we’ll still not have a true leader. True leaders went away 30-40 years ago leaving us with nothing but political hacks and corporate stooges. I’m resigned to the fact that our government is completely incompetent, and forever lost.

So what you’re saying is that Cynthia can dish it out, but she can’t take it? How funny.

GodHatesTrash: Dude, in reading your past posts, you sound like one miserable, pathetic person. How does your boyfriend put up with you?
