A few of my “vents” this week that the AJC probably won’t print ……..
The AJC announced a lot of changes this week but they left out one that is sorely needed - representing “all” of the people of the Atlanta area.
I can’t wait to see Private Obama in Iraq in his battle gear. I hope his helmet is too big like Dukakis’ was.
Sheriff Freeman getting enough votes to be in a runoff with Former FBI SAC Jackson shows just why our founding fathers never intended for the ignorant, unwashed masses (black or white) to be part of the system.
Our nation is at war, brave American troops are fighting to protect us and the biggest headline/article/photo on the front of Tuesday’s AJC is about campers in Rabun Gap playing harps. Oh, perfidious nation.

Read the obits? The baby boomers are dropping like flies. Social Security is saved. Scary. I think it was the bogue brown acid at Woodstock, man. Whatever it was. My neighbor, a divorced woman in her 50’s died in her sleep this week. I’ve known her for 25 years. A few years ago, I saw two cop cars and a fire truck and an ambulance outside her house. After about an hour, she was accompanied to the ambulance, very shakey, very drunk, and very frail. She drank to forget that she was alone, divorced, and oh what a cruel world. So a few days ago, when I saw a fire truck and a cop car outside her home, I figured she got drunk again. Her daughter found her. Her ex called to inform me that she was dead. She was a very thin woman, Kate Moss thin. He divorced her and married this big juicy plump woman about 12 years ago. I hope he’s happy. But he left her to fend for herself, oh, he paid for her house and general living expenses, but she had to work menial secretarial jobs to make ends meet. She must have been so lonely. Toward the end of her marriage, she complained that her husband kept wanting to “do it” in front of the picture window, and then scolded me for being the same gender who might want to do such a thing. So it was the bogue brown acid at Woodstock, man.

Well,
Is this a sign that most people prefer to pay for the opportunity to swim. OK. I’ll say my peace before headin’ off with the family.
Dear AJC’s Mr. Bookman, et al,
Please allow me to take advantage of this “free swim” to wish you all well in your efforts to re-define your paper. I sincerely hope that you are able to accomplish this task with a minimal disruption of your employee’s lives.
Sincerely, Just another blogging Taxpayer

HA HA HA….LOOKS LIKE THE LYING THIEF PAM FAKED HER LAW DEGREE, AND THE IDIOTS AT THE GEORGIA BAR DESTROYED THE DOCUMENTATION SHE USED TA GIT ADMITTED TA THE BAR….WHAT KIND OF CRIMINAL FRAUD CAN THE STATE PURSUE AGAINST A FAKE LAWYER WHO WAS ADMITTED TO THE BAR BASED ON NOW DESTROYED FRAUDULENT DOCUMENTS? If the hag indeed does not have a law degree, then should not each and every client she represented by entitled to all their money back, plus interest? Should not each and every court before which she fraudulently practiced not now hold her in contempt? Should not anyone of her clients convicted of a crime be entitled to an automatic new trial? The State Bar needs to be punished for failing to maintain her documentation of a law degree…that alone might save her from spending ALL the rest of her life in prison, rather than say 10 years…She needs to forfeit all pay from grady, and be kicked off all boards…fired from the state legs too….MAKE AN EXAMPLE OF THIS DANGEROUS LYING CHEAT, IMHO, IF THE LAW DEGREE WAS INDEED FAKED…

You’re no fun.
P.S. I can sure tell you weren’t in the military as you called a former corporal “sir”. Unlike officers, we worked for a living.
By the way, I sure appreciate you everytime I see that “handle” of yours knowing that you continue to pay my law enforcement retirement. May you live a long and prosperous life.
P.S.S. Did I tell you I spent three years in the early days with IRS-Criminal Investigation Division? What a blast!

Corporal,
I used the “sir” because I could tell that you were in need of a cheap thrill. Now, you see how much fun that was. As for taxes, I have no problem paying my share — even in retirement. Heck, I’ve been paying taxes on my pension since 2001 because I’m too young to get an exemption. I just hope that I live long enough to actually draw some of my social security money that I paid in over the years. I am glad that I at least get some tax breaks on capital gains and qualifying dividends though. By the way, I could really care less about who you worked for but I’ll tell you a little story — just for fun. I owned this house many years back and then I sold it and bought another one. About ten years later, this gas company came after me for payment of a past-due gas bill because someone messed up and left my name on the account for ten years. Well, I just pulled out my records, scanned them, and wrote a scolding letter to the CEO of the gas company with copy to the PSC regarding their obvious error. Needless to say, I got a really fast apology from the gas company. There’s just nothing like good records, dontcha know.

Clothing optional? Sheesh….from what I’ve seen on TV of nudists most of those people shouldn’t even be nekkid in the privacy of their own homes. Think I’ll move to the far side of the lake and exchange my sunglasses for a welding helmet.
Mr. Bookman, enjoy your day off.

one must wonder how many other fake lawyers have been admitted to the Ga Bar due to the lazy incompotence of the staff in failing to verify with independent sources the law degree of the applicant? I call for a WITCH HUNT that searches for FAKE lawyers throughout Georgia…Pan is not smart enough to figure out the weaknesses of the state bar all by herself, others must have done it first, and other after….WITCH HUNT WITCH HUNT WITCH HUNT

Yes all you crazy Republicans you can bring your damn guns into the pool because of your God given right to bear arms.
But please! If a liberal does a cannonball into the pool near you please try not to shoot him. Its just a fun thing to do and no one is trying to harm you. ITS NOT A REAL CANNONBALL.
If you see a Mexican with a shovel please do not shoot him, he is not trying to harm you. He is the landscaper and has work to do.
If you ask a Republican to do a cannonball don’t be surprised if that person tries to get away from you. He thinks you might be trying to get him to join the armed services, he’ll walk away from you with a limp. If you catch up with him he will tell you all about his bad knee and his asthma. Later, you’ll notice how fast that same person can run when they make the announcement that the hamburgers are done.

I believe it was Clarence Darrow who said “If the evidence is against you, talk about the law. If the law is against you, talk about the evidence. If they are both against you, talk about what’s right.”
That pretty well sums it up don’t you think?

put your clothes back on idiots. the jihadists are coming.
“Look,” says Abu Mustafa, whose beard cascades down his chest, “there will be three possibilities. Some will find their way to Islam. Those who don’t want to convert will be able to live in peace under the authority of Islam.” For those who don’t want to accept the hegemony of Islam, however, holy war is the only recipe. “Then we have to fight — just like our brothers on Sept. 11,” Abu Mustafa says.
“I miss Germany,” he says. He’s even looked on Google Earth for the street where he used to live and the cafeteria where he used to eat.
He explains that he was largely accepted in Germany and found people there to be quite friendly. The only problems came about when he encountered scantily clad women or fellow students who spent much of their time in clubs and bars. He says such experiences rooted him even deeper in his beliefs. “It would be better for such people were they to follow the pure Islam,” he says. “We are going to try and bring the faith to them.”
Indeed, Abu Mustafa says, he and his comrades in arms realize they need to be patient. There’s a long way to go before they can begin their struggle for global influence. First, they have to take care of an enemy closer to home: Hamas.
So far, Hamas has done what it can to keep the Salafis under control. They know the ultra-radicals are just waiting to take over Hamas’ position of leadership. “They are traitors,” Abu Mustafa says of Hamas. “Compared to us, they are Islamism lite.”

Dear Georgie porgie @11:01
Glad to hear you are interested in college degrees. You too can move on after you get your GED. Don’t give up just because you are seventy years old.
But I must correct you. My biology degree came from a university in South Carolina. Post graduate work and certification in laboratry medicine was achieved in Boston.
A REAL law degree is a difficult attainment. But I’m sure jbmlaw had no problem. Just as his son has risen in the military (you’ve heard of the military, haven’t you?) so rise the jbmlaw’s of this world. The real ones, that is. Not the ones who got a degree on the internet in three weeks.
Maybe that is the Pam Stephenson way. I don’t know for sure. Maybe you can check that out with your degree of interest in degrees.

put your clothes back on idiots. the Baptists are coming.
“Look,” says Tara Dustaya, whose breasts cascade down her chest, “there will be three possibilities. Some will find their way to Jesus. Those who don’t want to convert will be able to live in peace under the authority of the Baptists.” For those who don’t want to accept the hegemony of Christ, however, holy war is the only recipe.
“I miss South Carolina,” she says. She’s even looked on Google Earth for the street where he used to live and the bbq restaurant where she used to eat every meal at. “I’m hungry,” says Dustaya.

TO ET AL:
Has anyone ever wondered why the Islamic world produces so much oil but no automobiles ?
Where was Jesse Jackson and his scizzors when we needed to calm Bill Clinton down?
Madrassa Techs all over the United States are producing terrorist engineers whose goal is to destroy this country as we know it. We ignore and allow that at our peril.
O.K., it’s time to finally drop “Reverend” from Jesse Jackson’s name.
Keep Obama off the prompter !
The news report said Obama has spent a total of 143 days on the Senate floor. That’s not the Jr. Varsity or even the freshman team. That’s like sending the 7th and 8th grade team into the game.
Obama is a “Trojan Donkey”.
Those commune living, VW van driving, dope smoking, long-haired, unbathed, protesting, hyppie democrats from the 1960’s and 70’s are in their 60’s now and they are the reason we haven’t built a refinery, drilled for new oil or built a nuclear power plant in over 30 years !
OH, I CAN HEAR YOU GUYS FUMING !

Maybe (Hopefully) the AJC will get sold before it is bankrupt. Either way you soon will be out of work. You left wing hack. What utter idiots they have working their from no talent Cartoon Boy to Ms. I have a Chip on My Shoulder Tucker to Jay Boorish.
Soon all of you will be out of work. When the solicitors come by trying to sell the rag we just say NO, we don’t pay money for liberal rantings.
Tucker had to try and rehab JC again today. He was and still is the worst President in US History along with being the most obnoxious EX-President. To top this off, we are treated to your crap about the President.
Save you money for the unemployment line is coming.

Everyone needs to read the story of the mother nursing her dying son. Then think about what you complain about. There is nothing as sobering as suctioning a liter of blood out of a kid’s nose and mouth. Now imagine that kid is your own. Been there, done that, just not as personal. RIP son. And little Lisa way back in 1985 in Birmingham. I will always remember you. I think of you every Christmas and calculate how old you would have been now. And then hug my own girls.

As I filled up my car this morning, I thought about the argument being put forward by some that drilling in ANWR and offshore will not produce a barrel of oil for 10 years. Here are some things America did in less than 10 years:
From President Kennedy’s directive to Man on the moon took 8 years.
Won World War II in 3 1/2 years.
Transcontinental Railroad was completed in 7 years connecting East Coast & West Coast (with 1860’s technology!).
Completed the Hoover Dam in 4 years.
I could go on and on, but the point is that no one can sell me on the idea that it takes 10 years to drill into the ground and extract a barrel of oil.

One of the most profound editorial letters the AJC has printed in awhile ………….
Responses to “Charting the right course in extremely difficult times,” by AJC Publisher John Mellott, July 17, 2008
A LESS LIBERAL SLANT, PLEASE
Of all the issues addressed in John Mellott’s letter to readers, none mentions substance. Here’s an idea that will keep thousands like me from being off-and-on subscribers to the AJC: Be a little more like Fox News and The Wall Street Journal, especially the latter, which regularly prints insightful stories and columns with a conservative or libertarian bent.
With the majority of your stories and columns having a Bookman-Tucker-Luckovich hue, free-market readers such as me remain bemused, frustrated and alienated —- often turning those feelings into canceled subscriptions.
The irony of your current approach is that you drive away those with higher incomes who have no problem paying three or four times as much each year for the WSJ and a few other high-quality newspapers or magazines. If I were to find such free-market stories in the AJC on a regular basis, I would gladly pay three times the subscription price. I say “were” (in the subjunctive) because I think the chances to be virtually nil —- and that the token conservative column somehow assuages the AJC editors’ consciences.
