Lipstick, toxin and you
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Do you know the ingredients of your mascara? Your foundation? Does a brand matter when it comes to your compact and the substance inside?
First revelation: Ingredients in cosmetics needn’t be reviewed or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Instead, the industry is regulated by the Personal Care Products Council (formerly the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association), the national trade association for the cosmetic and personal care products industry. Views differ on whether that’s a case of giving the experts appropriate authority or akin to letting the fox guard the henhouse.
What reactions (physical) have you had with your make-up?

Are you addicted to energy drinks?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Sales of energy drinks are skyrocketing. You probably know these beverages come loded with sugar, plus three times as much caffeine as soda. But chugging cans of Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar or other drinks can leave consumers with something more serious than a case of the jitters. How much do you enjoy caffeine-laden energy drinks? Are you worried about possible health risks?
