I work with John Tackett. I’m very impressed with his accomplishment. He’s worked very hard and I admire him.

I commend anyone who can lose weight the traditional way. Gaining weight is quite easy but losing it is a different story. Even with the weight lose surgery, you still have to eat right and exercise. If you don’t, you will not lose the amount of weight you should. Take it from someone who knows.

I am impressed. The hard part is maintaining it. I’ve lost a bit over 35 pounds since late July 2006. I had to, due to high blood pressure and diabetes. For me, it’s been making reasonable, sensible choices. It’s probably taboo to say this in Atlanta, but I’ve totally eliminated Coca Cola from my diet. I was a Coke junkie, would probably drink the equivalent of a 2-liter bottle a day. I eliminated so many useless calories, and so many useless carbs.
I have managed to do this with a reduction in calories, and pretty much daily exercise. The key was to make changes I could MAINTAIN from here forward, no fad diet for me.
My goal is to drop another 20-25, and I’m done. That’ll put me at the weight I was when I was 16 years old.

Last year I gained about 20 pounds. I’ve always been fairly fit but it seems that when I turned 30, two years ago my metabolism darn near shut down. So I started eating better, cutting the unhealthy carbs and intensifying my workouts. I Ztrain about 4 times a week now. I never thought I could get such a good workout from a walking program! I take this ztrainer everywhere. The rest of week I strength train. This type of HIIT(high intensity interval training) has done wonders for me. I look great now if I do say so myself a few more pounds and I’ll be at my ideal weight!

I apologize, It is actually called the Ztrainer and I got mine from a site called Playaway Digital. My sister downloaded hers from the itunes store to her iPod. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training and this ztrainer program is based on it. You can go to google to find out about HIIT and ztrainer. It’s a very challenging program but it truly work. I also watched what I ate. To me, it’s all about a lifestyle change. As the old saying goes…No pain no gain!
