Get Organized in January
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
January is “Get Organized” month — 31 days devoted to straightening your papers, closets and random piles of stuff. Have you thought about organizing your health — an exercise schedule, healthy meals and relaxation time, for example? If you organized your health, where would your trouble spots be? How do you plan to improve your health practices and keep them up for 2007?

My plan for organization in Jan includes plotting out time to go to the gym at least three days a week. I want to make it a time that isn’t such a stretch or unreasonable i.e, (going to be at gym at 5 am… not gonna happen)I also plan to plot out my meals, as an insulin dependent -insulin pump wearing person, getting my correct balance of carbs, fats and proteins. I think this will help me reach my weight loss and healthy goal of losing 50 lbs this year.

My plan has already started. My first objective was to paint a room I had planned to paint for a year. Got it done. Now I am moving to the private areas of the house which need organizing and decluttering. Of course, I will be painting these rooms. Realistically, I have a week set aside for each room. I also plan to wake up and get up then exercise, write and just do what I need to do. Procrastination is no longer a word in myh life.

I’ve had a gym membership now for 4 months, and I have been a total of 4 times. I plan to get off my butt in 2007 and get into that gym. I’m not looking so much to lose weight, but more to just get my body toned. I’m getting married over the summer, and I don’t want to be in a dress size that I know I won’t be comfortable with. I wanna stay in a 9-10. I also plan to eat healthier. Less fried foods, more grilled chicken or fish, etc. Here’s to hoping I can stick to it. Happy 2007 everyone!
