Got a happy thought to share?

We got a message recently from William Aberson, an active participant on ajc.com’s vents, suggesting a new direction and feature.

“With the economy in the tank, countless foreclosures across the nation, banks closing, bankruptcies on the rise, the highest unemployment rates in years, property values spiraling downwards and stocks plummeting, I have noticed people’s attitudes heading in the same direction.” he wrote.

“So what are the odds of creating a section where people can submit happy thoughts for your readers? A place for words of wisdom, positive thoughts, good news, thank-you’s, inspiration … just pure happiness,” he asked.

The odds are extremely good. In fact, as of today there is a new vent in town. So submit your happy thoughts to the Unvent.

It’s a beautiful sunny day. It may be chilly, but the sun is out and the sky is clear.

Live for today, as long as it is called today; count your blessings, name them one by one; and be satisfied with yourself, who is beautifully and wonderfully made. And always…trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

Here are some happy thoughts.

As the market finally is allowed to correct itself, thousands of people who were priced out of an artificially inflated market (courtesy of the federal reserve credit/inflation machine) are now being able to afford the homes, cars, appliances, etc. of their dreams. They are being rewarded for savings, thrift, and patience. These are the values we should be encouraging.

More and more people are getting to hear the words of Ron Paul and Peter Schiff regarding this economic mess thanks to the support of the news and financial media. They are hearing the facts about sound money, the destructiveness of central banking and inflation, and the need to restore sanity to the american economy (not more socialism or fascism). This is very happy news because so many in this country have believed the lies about the last depression and the lies now being told by the administration, the democrats, the republicans, the banks, the auto makers, and every other irresponsible industry that is looking for a handout or more power.

We should also be very happy that the G20 did not work anything out this weekend. They and their monetary policies made this mess, and surely they will only make things worse with more “planning.” Happiness is a political impass.

It is always a happy day when the message of freedom is continued to be allowed in this country. Efforts have always been taken and new efforts are already underway to stamp it out. Rejoice in its continued presence and influence. Our continued happiness depends on it.
