Winston-Salem no match for FAMU
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
And now for this weekend’s Black College football picks:
Winston-Salem State at Florida A&M: Take this one to the bank. The Rattlers will rebound from last week’s loss by shutting out Winston-Salem State. FAMU will be so dominant that …. okay, I guess I can’t fool anyone. The Rattlers defeated the Rams 23-0 Thursday in a performance so dominating that Winston-Salem was held to less than 100 yards of total offense and didn’t mount a serious scoring threat in the game.
Clark Atlanta at Albany State: It’s homecoming in A-town and take the Rams big in the SIAC matchup.
Morehouse vs. Tuskegee in Columbus, Ga.: Tuskegee is riding a 21-game winning streak and has won the last four in the series. Both streaks will remain intact as Golden Tigers roll.
Grambling at Alabama A&M : Picked against Grambling last week and the Tigers promptly gave Prairie View the beatdown in Dallas. Contrary to popular belief, I’m not crazy - I’ll take Grambling on the road.
Fayetteville State at Shaw: Fayetteville State can put itself in the driver’s seat in the CIAA Western Division with the victory. Shaw hopes to bounce back after last week’s stunning loss to St. Aug, and take the Bears to win at home.

Thankyou for picking Benedict to beat Miles on lastweek.lol By the way Miles came out on top.:) Also don’t you know that Miles has a Coaching Legend in the legendary Billy Joe coaching them now so look for Miles to be a force in the SIAC in the future years. Yeah it took us four games to get on board with a win but hey when you got a new Coaching Staff and new playbook I’m not mad at the Golden Bears for this slow start. But I think Miles will do well the rest of the season and comeback next season with a good recruiting class and an impressive undefeated season under Coach Billy Joe. Thanks for writing this column because I am a die hard fan of Black College Football. Keep up the good work.

You did the right thing by picking Albany State over CAU. It won’t even be close.

It’s amazing with all the HBCU’s out there FAMU continues to get the headline in a state that they have no affiliation. Way to go RATTLERS!!! We’ll STRIKE and STRIKE and STRIKE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
I’m glad that we don’t have any of those non-HBCU people posting on our blog this week.
HBCU FOR LIFE!!!!

Here we go again with these unreal expectations from you HBCU folks!! Watch out tomorrow for a real game. The Bulldogs, goooooooooo dogs sic em’ woof woof woof woof woof. Oh and in case you are wondering I have mad respect for HBCU grads, they are an amazing group, my loving husband-to-be is an HBCU grad. I just think the football lacks the excitement of a SEC game, the only thing folks look forward to at an HBCU game is the band.
