How do you resist Halloween candy?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I can’t believe it. Halloween is still almost two weeks away and already the desks surrounding mine are filled with bowls of miniature treats beckoning me to just have one little itty-bitty piece.
It seems like every holiday is starting its celebration earlier and earlier before the actual day. It’s not bad enough dealing with all that candy after Halloween. Now, there’s all that temptation weeks before the event.
How do you deal with overflowing candy bowls at this time of year? Can you pass up all those goodies tempting you? Can you limit yourself to just one or two pieces? Or is it chocolate-central for the next month?

We can usually find bowls of candy in the breakroom for a week after Halloween but they will rarely contain chocolate. I will pick out the SMARTIES and sour gummy worms but I can usually resist the rest. I think my sister may be person in the world who eats the little peanut butter kisses (they come in orange and black wrappers). I think all of my coworkers bring that in from their kids’ bags and it sits there until someone throws it in the trash.

I don’t have a lot of it around so far this year. You could promise yourself to only eat candy that you MAKE, problem of sticking to it though I guess.
Stacey, my wife loves those candies, I hate them though. Of course my wife loves all candies :) but esp those from childhood that most of us never cared for.

I keep a HUGE stash in my desk drawer. My co-workers come grab (and give to the candy fund) as they feel like it. I personally only eat one - three pieces depending on the day of the month.
