Number of poor Georgians dips slightly
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
According to new census figures, the number of Georgians living in poverty fell slightly this year as the ranks of people without health insurance remained about the same.
Nationally, median household income increased for the second year in a row and poverty fell for the first time this decade, according to the census. The number of people in the United States without health insurance rose again this year to 47 million.
What is it like for your family? Did your income rise or fall? Are you among the uninsured? How are you getting by?
