Spoleto’s Got What ATL Wants

We’ve spent some time at this summer’s edition of the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, S.C. The final article in a series of previews and reviews looks at what Spoleto manages but that too many Atlanta arts festivals lack. (Perhaps the exception to this is the National Black Arts Festival, which is getting deluxe treatment in the AJC as the NBAF opens.) What this Spoleto article doesn’t get into has suffered near collapse in its 30 year-history; the success we find there today is thus especially hard-won. Click here to read it.
