Sheree is actually how she is portrayed on the show. She is stuck on herself and is uppity. Whenever we see her, her nose is in the air and she looks down on people. I don’t understand why because she is a hoodrat from Ohio who has stolen in the past. She definitely didn’t grow up upper middle class. She moved to Atlanta to use her body as currency to hook a rich guy. She moved to Atlanta when she was 23 and was on the gold digger party circuit. Upper middle class upbringing…please! Lie, lie, lie!

She doesn’t deserve a settlement. She should get out and work. She is trying to get Bob to settle by running up attorney bills because he has to pay her attorney and his attorney. The state of Georgia is the one of the worst to get divorced. Bob owns the house.

As far as fashion, I can show you some pictures of the early days in Atlanta of Sheree…I wouldn’t put her and fashion in the same sentence! Ha!

Zolciak, the cast’s sole white member whose mystery man is a source of Internet intrigue.

Online gossip mongers have surmised that her sugar daddy could be a music industry icon like Quincy Jones or Sean Combs, hence her “friendship” with producer Dallas Austin.

The most prolific rumor, however, is that her sugar daddy is real-estate developer Lee Najjar-father of a member of the extended posse on MTV’s reality show “The Hills,” and very married.

Zolciak, as it turns out, is no stranger to scandal. As a teenager in Windsor Locks, Conn., she had a high-profile affair with a police sergeant, John MacDougald.

According to the Hartford Courant, Zolciak was “16 or 17” when the romance began and allegedly a witness in a criminal investigation at the time.

McDougald, a 25-year veteran of the police department, copped to the affair-but insisted that the relationship started after the case was closed.

The scandal helped touch off an internal investigation in the Windsor Locks police department-where allegations of secret tapings, sexual-assault charges and cover-ups flew.

Zolciak’s new BFF, Sheree Whitfield, knows something about the police, too: In 1989, when she was 19, Ohio native Whitfield-then known as Sheree Fuller-was arrested, twice, for theft, according to Cuyahoga County court records.

On the reunion show, Sheree should’ve caught more flack instead of everyone ganging up on Kim.

Did any of the women go to college other than DeShawn? DeShawn is a sweetheart!

Lisa is cool but I wonder how her ex got custody of the children, especially in Georgia where judges are notorious for discriminating against fathers and often award outrageous child support awards to women.

If NeNe and her family were evicted, it is because of the economy. Real Estate businesses are suffering and this may be the reason she was on the show, to help bring in money to sustain the family.

I feel sort of sorry for Kim. As far as Sheree, please! She is so transparent and the epitome of golddiggers and the kind of woman who moves to Atlanta in droves hanging out at parties trying to meet someone who can finance them.

Men of Atlanta, did you not learn anything from Lance Herndon’s situation? His mistresses still ended up with men with money. Wonder why none of those women didn’t volunteer for the show. I guess they didn’t want the past coming out…

Oh no she didn’t! Her attorney is filing to go to the Georgia Supreme Court on Bob. Yeh, they will be real impartial…she may get seven figures if they have anything to do with it!

They just hosted a National Summit on the Institution of Marriage.

If she doesn’t, Bob don’t get too close to the house when you pick up the kids and be careful…watch the program “Snapped” and you will see why.

Apparently, there was a final decree last year and Sheree has appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court which means that whatever the outcome at trial, Sheree isn’t happy with it. Briefs were filed in October.

Wow, I found Kim to be not nearly as detestable as she was on the RHOA episodes. Dare I say that she came across as sincere and almost likeable?

Still not sure about the cancer thing, though. Did she actually say she had cancer at first or was it clever editing to make it look like she had? Hmmm…

Sherree was her usual superior self, although I have to say, she seemed a bit more human on this show. I love her new hair, but what is up with that big bang?

Also, if Bob was the one who picked that house, he has excellent taste. Of all the homes, his is by far the most elegant. It looks genuinely old, and not all Home Depoey, like DeYawn’s ghastly tribute to architecture/interior design.

As for DeYawn, I don’t care if she is attending divinity school “on line” (ha!). I think she is a complete lamebrain who completely butchers tge English language, with that mumbling and cackle voice of hers. DeYawn has absolutely zero taste & completely overblown sense of accomplishment that is exceeded only by Sheree’s delusions of grandeur.

Trust me, DeShawn, the only thing you should be destined for is Jenny Craig!

Lisa finally showed the side of her that I always suspected existed. She is by far the toughest cookie of all of them and could take each one on and spit them out with one hand tied behind her back. Trust.

NeNe never did answer the question about her stripper past, but other than that, she was her same old self.

I actually enjoyed the show. It wasnt what the hype was all about though. I expected more to be said from Deshawn and Sheree.

I think Deshawn is a sweetheart. She seems to be the more “settled” and “mature” one. She doesnt have the drama following her around. I love the fact she and her family are close to God.

I hope to see a change in Kim on the next episode. I really hope she was not lying about having cancer. That is serious considering all the women , men , and children out there with cancer.

NeNe is so funny. She is the life of the show.

Look forward to the new season!

I love the show. I actually just started watching the show about 3wks ago.

Sheree is fake though. She is so into herself. Kim needs help. I hope to see her in a different light on the next season.

Deshawn is very sweet. She is the mature one. Very settled and into her family.

Lisa showed a side of her that I knew was there. She seems to be the tough one.

Looking forward to the new season.

I have a hospitality related business and have had the pleasure of being in the Snow’s house several times over the last couple of years preparing for parties. They are really nice and unlike many ‘new money’ families we do work for, they dont treat us like crap. They treat us like people and just really nice. And they seem to really love each other.

I want to see a RHOA featuring Merry Carlos and her band of botox/plastic ladies…THAT would be a show to watch, but will NEVER happen.

Lisa, I don’t trust. And I believe Kim when she said that they were on 3 way. Lisa is the backstabber that smiles in your face and talk about you behind your back. But in front of everyone talks about peace.

My children attend the same schools as Sheree’s children. What I am curious about is why spend that kind of money on fashion and send your children to a public school? If I had access to the funds she has access to, my children would definitely be in private school.

The word around the school is Bob is definitely fighting giving her a seven figure settlement. Whenever she visits the school, she settles in with her cronies, the other bitter divorced gold digging women who have children that attend the school and who want to rotate in her orbit. She is not cordial and is using the series to move into acting and hopefully a rich second husband.

However, some children have been cruel and her children have to deal with people telling them their mom was on a stripper pole (what a role model!) and is a gold digger.

I watched the “reunion” show last night. Wow, these ladies really can’t get along. I haven’t seen this type of behavior since high school. However, I did get my laugh when the 6th Housewife came out in all his splendor with a drink in hand. The body language of these ladies at his arrival was priceless!

Poor Deshawn, is “I don’t know” all she says? Lisa got a little gangsta last night (I’ll flip you over the couch). LOL. Sheree’s new weave was on point. NeNe got everything off her chest. And Kim, well, I’ll keep my comment to myself-

Sheree and Kim became best friends looking for fame and money. Sheree was friends with NeNe and neglected friendship for a chance of being famous. Sheree did not invite her to the party with the goal of boosting ratings. No one has a fashion line without hiring a consultant withouta business background. Was Sheree not a medical coder and biller? See, people with no education or common sense think if you throw a few things together you have a business. Fabrics, budgets, projections, building relationships with buyers….HELLO. Sheree has fallen off thinking Bob was her big PAYDAY and is simply trying to reinvent herself. She is fooling no one but herself. Everyone knows the deal because she PUT it out there.

I really enjoyed the show - Loved Ne Ne new do.

Kim is very untruthful, lying about her cancer but wouldn’t discuss the real cause of her hair falling out she got so much money why doesn’t she spend more on her hair there is nothing wrong with wearing a wig but why so obviously tacky and she is looks too old to be 30 I think it’s the Botox it’s not helping and she can’t be those kids friends all the time they need to be taught some values when all that money is gone, what? The oldest girl is ungrateful but of course Kims okay with that.

I’d have to agree with the others Sheree is very sidity and I felt she should have been asked more questions particularly about why she wore another designer at her own fashion show shouldn’t she have been wearing something she created herself.

Maybe DeShawn shouldn’t be on this show I don’t think she adds too much to it she and her husband need to start generating some money at the rate DeShawn spends they will soon be broke.

Ah, Lisa I was a little surprised at the outburst I think she over did it a making it out to be all Kim’s fault when she is the one who went blabbing very sneaky of her makes me see her in a new light, shame on you Lisa.

Lastly, these ladies need to be taught how to plan and research when they want to start companies they think because they know the right people and they have lots of money thats all it takes there is so much more to it than that Deshawn should have had a different class of people at that benefit it should have been worked on a little more maybe she should have gotten ideas from someone who was experienced in fund raising - Sheree is a hot mess she should chuck designing and maybe become someone’s personal shopper. By the way DeShawn’s children are rude and spoiled did you see the clip with the little boy demanding his breakfast “NOW” since she has so much time with them she should teach them some manners just because they priviliged they don’t have to be rude.

WOW,That reunion was hilarious.Kim is a big Liar,if she did have cancer,she would have lost her hair from chemotherapy and or radiation,not from the mere fact that she has cancer.No doctor in their right mind would prescribe chemo without a positive test comfirming she really had cancer.She is such a liar,and so stupid, that she thought people lose their hair,because they are diagnosed with cancer.Like NeNes’gay friend said,she need to do something with her head.Perhaps she need to go back to school,anytime you can not spell cat,something is wrong.She said she was only human,we all make mistakes. It is so apparent to me that Sheree is not a happy person. Again, class is not acquired and beauty is only skin deep. Sheree was only hanging out with Kim because she is jealous of the other three housewives and Kim was easily manipulated. She isn’t very bright! Lisa is an active, intelligent woman but I’m not sure if she would make a good friend to anyone but Ed. DeShawn didn’t say much…but I think she still has some growing to do as a person…perhaps she should have been a little more vulnerable…too focused on the finances…and her lifestyle. nene is the most real lady out of the bunch. and she is stylish, and i love her hair, and i love her personality. she has a wonderful supportive husband, and two sweet boys. who knows really what goes on behind close doors when the cameras are gone. and if she was a stripper, so what. it’s legal. she hasn’t committed any original sin, and it appears anyone who would waive the “nene was a stripper” flag is either a hypocrite or has some old bone to pick with her.

we’ve all heard from the show that shawny says some things that regular old white people would’t, but to say she’s killing the english language isn’t fair. personally i don’t care how she says what she does, she’s a great lady. been with her husband since colege, through bad to very good, so good for her. they are incredibly lucky that his fame has not changed them to the point of sheree and bob.

since lisa’s kids weren’t discussed on the show, it’s unfair to discuss why she doesn’t have custody. she is clearly an excellent wife and mother, vivacious and strong and beautiful, and her ex is a retarded former kinda-sorta-has-been r&b singer. she prolly filed for bancruptcy to protect herself from having to pay his dumb a$$ child support he doesn’t deserve.

Having moved to Atlanta from New England and judjing from what I have witnessed so far in Atlanta, I find the show and the women indicitive of Atlanta. I think they actually do represent black women of Atlanta, they’re spot on.

All I know is that NeNe keeps it too real and I love it! She almost admitted last night that she used to a skripper. But, now she only strips for husband Greg, (that’s funny). But I like NeNe she’s got her act together.

Kim is no where near 30 years old, she’s more like closer to 40 and no one wants to see her fat, fake behind in Playboy! That would be horrendous. By the way they have enough fake blondes in that magazine. They don’t need her.

Why did Lisa sit there and try to get ghetto and want to fight Kim? I thought that was hilarious, She would get the brakes beat off her in a New York minute. And I thought she was such a @#$% lady.

Somewhere deep inside, I kind of hope Sheree gets her fashion line off the ground, so she can leave Big Bobs $$ alone.

All in All I thought RHOA was interesting and fun to watch to say the last.

If it was not for NeNe, I probably wouldn’t have watched the show. Last night, however, she completely disappointed me along with Lisa. Why is it we must resort to violence when we get verbally cut during an argument? Ladies, Why not use words and intellect to cut back? Why “step outside or flip someone over the couch”? Kim is mentally SIMPLE. NeNe and Lisa preyed on the weak & simple minded. It showed me that they too are simple. I would like to have seen them pick on the person who deserved it the most-SHEREE, but of course, she got off easy. Why? Because if they had threaten her, we would have really seen a smack down throw down episode that was full of words and ultimately, perhaps, a slap or two may have been in order. I guess they will talk trash out of Sheree’s presence because she demands respect and they fall to their knees and give it to her. Why?

Kim just lies, lies, lies.. I worked for a doctor that she was seeing 3 years ago and she was only there for pre op (as in plastic) bloodwork. Dressed like a hootchie w/ her then 3 yr old daughter dressed the same. And no, having cancer doesn’t cause you to lose your hair the cancer treatment does. The reason she back tracked the “cancer story” is that she knew there would be people who could dispute that. Her only illness is that she is eaten up with dumb*ss.

I agree with LaShandra. I thought I was the only one who caught that about Lisa. I think she is two faced and talks too much. If she would have been a woman like DeShawn, and not amped up NeNe singing that song, the drama would have never got as bad as it did. Lisa screamed on Kim trying to change the subject that she started that mess. I believe Kim about the three way call. NeNe is the realest one and still humble with her money and so is DeShawn. Nobody cares about Sheree. Nobody wants to be like Sheree. Kim your not happy. Kim and Sheree get a life, get a real man, and go sit down.

I watched the show and it’s sad to see grown women act the way they do. Kim couldn’t tell the truth if it was stamped on her forehead. Sheree is all about herself but I have to give it to her she puts on a good upidty act! But we all know her past and how you work it! I don’t care what anyone says DeShawn has class, don’t hate on her just becasue she was the only one who didn’t get invovled in all of tha drama. She has an image to uphold and that’s a good thing. Lisa disappointed me at first I thought she had it together, but as the weeks rolled by she appeared to be to be a sneaky and coniving backstabber. She was on both sides of the fence as well. Ne-Ne well gurl you are just who you are, but I like you! I hope there is a season 2, I enjoy watching a little DRAMA in someone else’s lives every once in a while. Think of it like this, those women have all of the money in the world, but at the end of the day they’re just like everyone else in the world HUMAN’s who experience the same things that the rest of us do, they just have money to ease the pain, or does it? Please do not lump all black women into the same category. It’s unfair and racist. As a black woman who lives in Atlanta (from Chicago originally), I was appalled and embarrassed by these ladies’ behavior.

Many of the black women I know with or without money do not behave in this way.

I live in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood near Druid Hills around new and old money. I wished they had picked old money ladies from this area to represent housewives Atlanta and not these idiots who preyed on and married athletes.

Money does not buy class regardless of race. I’ve only seen two episodes of this show and I could tell by their behavior that these are women who came from low-class backgrounds who got lucky and dated or married wealthy men who are of a low-class mentality themselves. Kim is white and she is no exception. She is just as low-class as the black women on the show, so please do not make this a race issue.

This is an issue of these women having acquired wealth through marriage but still hold on to their low-class mentality. Now they think they are better because they feel that they’ve “arrived.” This is typical “new money” behavior. Only people who aren’t used to having money act a fool like this when they do get it.

Using myself as an example, I am a black woman who was raised by a poor single mother and although we didn’t have money, my mother and grandmother raised my sister and me to be very well-spoken, well-mannered and sophisticated. I had to learn how to walk, I had to learn how to set proper place settings, which silverware to use, how to sit at the dinner table, how to sit properly as a lady, how to speak, how to behave when invited to other people’s homes, how to behave in public—and when I got older how to speak and how to dress when searching for a job and what is appropriate to wear to work. These things were things my sister and I had to learn and it didn’t cost us any money to learn them. I don’t come from money and still don’t have a lot of money today but people assume I am highly educated and say to me that I dress classy and that I carry myself in a professional manner. It’s not about my race or my income, it’s about the fact that I was raised to behave like a lady and have a high-class (but not conceited) mentality.

A person does not have to be white nor does a person have to have money to be sophisticated. It’s all about your mentality and how you were raised.

These women don’t behave the way they do because they are black, they behave the way they do because they weren’t raised right and they have no real values or morals.

I waited in anticipation for last nights show and I thought for a moment that we were going to see a real Linda Carrington and Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan moment between NeNe and Kim… I was hoping NeNe would pull off Kim’s wig..but I was disappointed when it didn’t happen. Darn I was hoping to see fake hair and nails flying through the air.

Kim probably lost her hair from over bleeching it too much. It probably hasn’t recovered yet. NeNe’s right..Kim needs to close her legs.

Sheree…get over yourself. You “hope” She by Sheree is launched in fall of ‘09…is that dependent on you collecting from your divorce? A true success story wouldn’t depend on someone else’s money for success. You make success. You don’t buy it.

DeShawn was right by not commenting on how much she spends on her staff. It’s no one’s business but Mr. and Mrs. Snow’s business on what their staff costs them. Good for DeShawn for not sharing that info.

Of course Dwight stole the show (again). I was nervous when I saw him come out with the long hair. I was wondering if he wanted to trade in his tool box for a clam shell. I was glad to hear he loves his tool box and plans on keeping it.

Lisa…why act shocked when the guy from Minnesota asked to share your husband? Ed showing his round, firm, behind like that…would turn on a few men. ;-)

And NeNe…if Anderson Cooper calls…can I go with you when you meet him?

Why are people so offended by the show? It. Is. TV.

Anytime you get a bunch of women together who have nothing really in common except a self-determined sense of notoriety, things are going to get catty. I personally don’t have ‘friendships’ like these, so I thought the show was hilarious. It was comic relief and I was thoroughly entertained. I honestly think you would have the same amount of drama if they did Real Housewives of Peachtree City… all of those Delta pilot wives?!?! That would be something to see!

And anyone who would see five people in a city of - what’s the population of Atlanta? - and think they represent everyone in that city is seriously delusional.

And if you are so offended by the show…why are you posting to the blog? Why did you watch?

I have to say this much about the RHOA! Deshawn I like you the most out of all them, you weren’t with all that craziness I mean you more a realist of being an athlete’s wife, and housewife out of the rest of them. I love this show! All the women “add” to the show in some shape or form. However, Kim is a compulsive liar who wants to try so hard to fit in it’s ridiculous! The way she fawned over Sheree’s beautiful made me want to puke. Does she want to be Sheree? Secondly, I loved NeNe from the first episode and knew she would steal the show. She seems real and tells it like it is. Lisa, is my dream woman. She is confident, fun, creative, smart and funny and can get tough when she needs to be. To me, she is the most down-to-earth of them all. DeShawn is sweet comes off a little too “clueless” at times. I like that she keeps to herself at times and doesn’t get intertwined with all the drama. Sheree? I love a confident woman, but she can be over the top and acts like she’s God’s gift to the world. All in all, the show is awesome and can’t wait for season 2!

The lies that were told don’t fit in my views and opinions. I like DeShawn and NeNe the best. The show is pure fluff and I watch it as a form of “guilty pleasure.” In this economy, it does pain me to watch such flagrant spending but I guess not everyone out there is as poor as I am. : - )

The subject matter is pretty lame, but I would not be surprised to see these ladies back next season. Oh, Kim, lose that wig, pul-lease! I would rather see a woman with short natural hair than someone with big fake hair. It is not attractive. 29 years old? OMG.

I was very disappointed in the show being that I live in the south. A few of the ladies should grow up and conduct themselves like a real woman should. The bickering is so high school. The lady that’s with ” Big Poppa” get your own man and leave that married man alone and get a life other than singing. It’s not you. The lady that was doing the fund raiser to raise the million dollars should have gone about it another way and involved the girls that she was raising the money for somehow.The show was just a disgrace and hope that it never aires again…. Didnt’ show anything but ghetto women that got money and nothing else to do but argue about nothing…….

I’m ashamed that I watched this show, but I did. I know so many more women, black and white, who would’ve been better representations of professional, classy women who are really making a difference in the Atlanta community. DeShawn and Lisa seem to at least have an outside focus that drives them in addition to their families. I felt NeNe and SheRee were just putting on a big front. If any of them had ever had a job, or even volunteered at a charity for more than a few days, they’d know the tough work behind launching a business or foundation—it’s not just about having a party to “launch” something. And Kim—what a horrible role model for young girls—find yourself a married rich man and you’ll be taken care of. I kind of doubt there is a big pappa. With that cheap townhome she lives in, I have a feeling the clothes, jewels and cars were financed for the show only and then probably sent back. The chef and assistant were just friends helping out. The fact that she can’t spell cat, has never eaten guacamole and thinks you can be a singer when you know you have no talent shows that she’s a classless, no-talent tramp. I feel bad for her kids.

Kevmoore my response was based on Kim’s description of Big Papa & that he may be big in the music industry already cuz let’s face it, Dallas Austin had no other reason to waste time with Kim or this show unless it was to do a BIG favor for someone he could collect from in the future. But you right, lots of brothers out here turn to the dark side.

I KNEW these women could not have been friends prior to this show like they tried to pretend they were. “Real” friends don’t treat each other the way these women did.

I also KNEW Lisa told on NeNe in the limo when that episode aired. That whole episode Lisa & Sheree were dancing on poles, hanging at each other’s houses, TALKING BAD ABOUT NENE & all that. Lisa played herself on the reunion show & made me think she could be a habitual liar as well. Lisa’s only loyal to Lisa & Ed, no one else, altho I think Lisa sensed that NeNe is the most popular on this show & she wants to keep a foot in that door. Kim & Sheree friendships are disposable.

DeShawn: could care less about her one way or the other. She was uppity in her own way, always talking about how much $ she got, how much this & that cost & Eric Snow seemed like he didn’t wanna be bothered half the time on that show til they talked about him & his life in the finale. That episode where Shawny discussed the diffences between NFL & NBA contracts, albeit true, made me sick she was just bragging, a “real” friend wouldn’t have done that to Lisa knowing her husband is in the NFL. Shawny needs to stay home & take care of her kids - come on how many women WISHED they could be stay at home moms & she spends her time hiring staff while her kids act a fool. Ridiculous. If the show comes back minus Shawny, I won’t miss her at all. But I see why she never got into the fights/drama cuz in the end none of these women were friends with her before (proven when they all knew she was running the fundraiser wrong & nobody had the decency to tell her) so why waste time going there with them.

Lisa: altho I know she lied re: telling Kim about NeNe’s limo song, she’s a’right. I like her entreprenurial style. When it’s all said & done, Lisa may be the only one who can maintain a career & bring in her own money with or without Ed or any man. Unlike Kim, Sheree, Shawny & even NeNe who depend on someone else’s money instead of their own.

Sheree: She was a good bad guy tho, bring her back so we can hate on her some more lol. She should use some of that $ to get her son’s teeth fixed & make the fashion career secondary. Hope she don’t get Bob’s money tho. Cute designs on the “She by Sheree” line BUT what fashion designer leaves it up to the seamstress to make the clothes without any supervision or seeing the designs BEFORE the day of a viewing/fashion show? And what kinda designer wears someone else’s designs at their own viewing? She’s a fraud.

Kim I liked at first but by the end didn’t like her at all. Typical white trash all she needed was a trailer (altho on the North side a townhouse may be the equivalent). and no Kim, you couldn’t carry a note if your life depended on it I don’t care what singing coach Dallas Austin throws at you.

NeNe, like most on the blog I liked her the best. She kept it real from day one & I wish her much success. She was slightly ghetto, but she seemed to have it together the most. Greg’s a good guy & her kids were well behaved & respectful. If there’s a 2nd season, hopefully we’ll find out more about her real father & see the search.

I heard Dwight is gonna get his own show on Bravo, I hope that’s true cuz he was fun to watch as well! His comments were funny & on point every episode!

I’ve had the mis-fortune of watching a few of these trashy episodes. This show is the WORST advertisement to the rest of the country about the state of things in Atlanta (and perhaps the south … which naturally will be the general country’s assumption here). Trashy, mis-guided souls whose childish cat-like fights wouldn’t even belong on Jerry Springer. Thanks, Real Housewives of ATL (and Bravo TV) for setting Atlanta back by 30 years with this crap. I realize that I and everyone have the choice not to watch … from now on I’ll do just that.

BOYCOTT THIS SHOW!!! If people don’t watch, Bravo TV won’t get the ratings and the Real Housewives of ATL will be removed from the public conscience forever.

I think the show is entertaining fun and is in no way a representation of Atlanta women black or white. Stop taking the show so seriously.

The Real Houseswives of Atlanta are no different from the Real Housewives of Orange County, and New York City. They are all loud,tacky, MOST of them rich by their husband’s money. The white women on the other shows are just as “tackylicious” as the black women. It is not a race issue and I wish people would stop it.

First of all, the RHO OC, NYC and ATL are all the same, TRASHY!

In the OC and NYC they had the same drama that the ATL housewives, Kim the trailer park trash and Sheree the transgender had on the ATL seasons. In the OC some of them act like they came from the same trailer park as Kim and there were a few on the NYC season as well.

Only women with class and dignity would not appear on such trash. I will give Lisa and DeShawn credit. They may not have known that it would have turned out to be so trashy.

Despite me calling all three seasons trash, I need a little trash in my life every once in a awhile so I never missed an episode. LOL!

I agree with the NEW Englander who wrote that what was depicted on the show seemed paint a fairly accurate picture of the cultural climate here in ATL. You can get mad if you want to. Maybe it is because of all the “transplants” who have moved here and brought with them the worst of what their hood had to offer. I can’t call it, but, the fact remains….ATL and its African-American “Elite” are anything but, when compared on a national level!

I have mixed feelings about the show. I used to think it was entertaining, now I think it is embarrasing. I watched the reunion last night and felt very disappointing. It is sad to see grown women act like teenagers, regardless of race or financial status. Nene is absolutely tasteless, ghetto, loud and stupid. She actually believes she has class, so juvenile. It was just painful to watch her last night, no class whatsoever. She acted like she was on Jerry Springer, same for Lisa. Unbelievable. She is a very two faced person, and showed her real side last night. She is a instigator and a liar, absolutely no class, fast talking self. All of them made Sheree look good last night. She was more likable and at least knows how to act in public. Deshawn, I like you, please hang out with some real people. Leave these wanabees alone. You are better than that. You do not have to ridicule yourself on tv as these other ladies do. You are the only one with class. You deserve your wealth, you did not hunt for a rich husband, but you and your husband worked hard for all that you guys have. Kim, you stood your ground last night against those two. You do not have to explain why you wear a wig. Look at Nene’s hair, please, and Lisa could use a nice hair cut herself, with her teenage hairdo on her 40-something face.

OMG! Do these women actually live in the city of Atlanta or metro Atlanta? There is such a big difference. Whether black, white, mexican or whatever; do not categorize all housewives with money in this group. Justin had the best info but you can tell that none, even sweet D’Shawn, was raised in an upper or rich lifestyle. It is very unfortunate that the money they have acquired from their ‘men’ - only Lisa shows possibility of making it without Ed - is abused. Kim and Sherre(look in Webster, there is a picture of you next to the word for an example) are gold diggers and waiting for the next fly to be trapped in their web. Hopefully, Big Poppa will run the other way with his money and the courts will allow the original settlement for Bob and he gets joint custody of his daughter. NeNe just lucked up on a good sugar daddy that made her a wife. But, she is a somewhat of a real housewife because I did not see her tripping over a personal assistant, a maid and a chef. I will say she was ghetto but honest. Lisa is the only business woman. In earlier interviews, Keith S did not want his children to be seen. I would hope the courts are not that stupid to give him custody. Big Mistake. But, Lisa, for real, you were a liar on the reunion show and it did not look good. You have too much potential - don’t slink into sheree’s and kim’s world. D’Shawn, as religous and sweet as she probably is, unfortunately has let the money go to her head and really forgot about it’s evil. She portrayed herself as lazy, dependent and very materialistic. If God took all this away now, what would you do? If that house and car are not paid for and you do not have another 7 figure income lined up, you are in for a rude awakening. Lisa and NeNe will survive without their husbands’ money because they will be able to find ways to make money. D’Shawn maybe, she has to really apply herself. Truly trust God, but remember, faith without WORKS is dead and a man who eats must be his hand to the plow.

And, as for Dwight. He has been a top, spotlight stylist in Atlanta for years. You could sit in his chair and look like a hood rat but come out looking like a queen. And, has always been real.

I loved the show last night. I was a little hurt when NeNe said she was good on friends and did not need any more. I sure would like to be her friend and hang out buddy. But who knows if I get to meet her maybe she will change her mind. Her husband reminds me of my husband and I think we could be great friends. My husband is quiet and low key type personality and I am more out-spoken but in a good way. I still love you NeNe and Craig. Keep on keeping it real. And remember our economy will turn around and all the negative things people are saying about you and how you are earning your money so what!! God has made promises to those who trust Him, and He is one that cannot lie, His word will not return void unto Him, but His word will accomplish what it was sent out to do. Please people, this is a discussion just as one would have a discussion on a book of fiction.

Like many have said before, its all in the editing. The long pauses where everyone is looking crazy with a blank expression on their faces probably did not even happen at the same time (how many angles can a camera crew have around a dinner table at the same time?). Take it as it is. A television show.

Gold digger or not the show is NOT called the Real Entreprenuers or Executives or Working Woman of ATL. HOUSEWIVES as in supported by a primary breadwinner, as in, not usually holding down a 9 to 5, as in, living off his or her man. In today’s economy an elite few can be a housewife AND spend an exorbent amount of money. Ta-da! Want to see it? Here it goes…..

If drama did not exist WE would not watch it. You can get self-righteous if you want to but its a show that they call “reality” tv but its scripted. How are the cameras set up in all of the right places to catch perfect shots of the “characters”? Really now: Lisa takes a dip, swims a lap, phone rings, she jumps on and runs all the way to the end of he estate to a gazeebo where her cell is sitting all by its lonesome. How did the camera angle change to catch her at a lower angle? ITS SCRIPTED.

Take the show for what it is - a dramatization of what Bravo has defined as the theme of their Real Housewives series. The RHONew York and RHOOrange County have a common theme - an over the top character whose mouth will get them in trobule. A single woman trying to get into or flirting with the idea of marriage. One or two entreprenuers. A reserved “old money” type. Someone beyond snooty. And a real person who more times than not will tell it like it is.

This show helps me when I need a mindless TV show playing in the background while I am completing a project or something of the like. Keep it going BRAVO. Better than most. Thanks!

“Not Surprised” said it well…there are many Black women that fit this mold in Atlanta. That is why Black men and Black women flock here. Men can get many women if they pretend to be a rich and generous man. And, the women are ready and willing…

For instance, remember the woman who left her child in the car several years ago while she was at work on a temp job because she couldn’t find a babysitter? The young lady left her “support system” back home to move to Atlanta to find her fame and fortune (i.e. someone to finance her) and it cost her child her life. I hear young men and women say all the time, “I got to get to the A-T-L.”

Unfortunately, it is the type of women like Kim and Sheree, more often than not, who get men with money. They have no shame and the love of the all mighty dollar will make them do anything to get it.

I’m part of wealthy black Atlanta elite and Sheree is definately not in my circle. I will be blogging to Bravo to please remove her saying “people are jealous of my success”. Since when did marrying for money and then sitting around waiting for a divorce settlement equal success? I love NeNe(she keeps it real and I love her husband Greg) and Lisa (not afraid of hard work). I think out of all the comments, I agree with bj the most. It’s just a show that entertained well. Me and my friends were hooked. There is not one woman on television that represents all women. It’s just unrealistic, we are all different. So please don’t get offended because of how NeNe, DeShawn, Sheree, Kim and Lisa live their lives. They are not trying to represent you, they are representing themselves only, and there’s nothing wrong with it. Now with that being said, I love NeNe’s personality-I wouldn’t consider her ghetto, I’d consider her realistic-I’m not sure how opionated black women are always referred to as ghetto. I think we all know ghetto when we see it, she ain’t it. Lisa was just too cute but I didn’t fully understand her anger against Kim until I read one of the blogs. Poor Kim-she needed to stay at home because she sounded ridiculous, she contradicted herself about her health and she ain’t ready to argue w/a sista. I never really liked DeShawn though because I feel she does not need a governess and a whole staff to support her household. I can see an acct and maybe a maid and SOMETIMES a chef. Please she mentioned that her husband is always on the road so she feels like a single mom. Well, hell that’s all of us, we all take care of bills, kids, home and work with a husband, that’s just how it is. And lastly, Ms. Sheree needs to get her head out of her @ZZ, I truly hope she does not get any money from her divorce, we all know she was only in it for the money. So calm down people after all the entertainment it gave, it was just a show.

I think they all think they are more than what they are even DeShawn. DeShawn wouldn’t hire a qualified applicant becasue the applicant said she didn’t know who she was. DeShawn, your husband is somewhat famous, not you. I truly believe Kim when she said that Lisa told her about the song on three way. There were only 3 women in that limo that night. Someone spilled the beans. If you watched Lisa’s face last night as Kim began to tell the story about how she found out, Lisa was ready to make Kim out to be a liar. All Lisa did was make herself look guilty.

If GOD Blessed me with some money, I would be helping others. As long as I have GOD and LOVE I don’t need nothing else. GOD can give and GOD can taketh away. Why is that everything that “we” African Americans do must be scrutinized differently? Why is it that we are always representing our entire race? I don’t represent black women as much as I represent the woman that my parents raised me to be. This was entertainment. Who cares what the few white Americans that call them ghetto think? Gimme a break! Of course we may speak differently or behave differently; there are cultural differences with all races in this country. They didn’t represent anyone but themselves.

A couple things I think the show should get to the bottom of for next season:

1) What is up with all of Lisa’s aliases? One site that posted information about her bankruptcy listed five including “Sharon Wu.” Um, no one changes their name that many times unless they had past legal problems or are currently on the run from the law! Lol. I’m just saying. (PS Smart move, Keith Sweat, but not having your kids on the show. He probably knew it would be crazy drama and didn’t want them involved.) Also, can someone tell us why Keith has full custody?? Something about Lisa’s past isn’t ringing true…

2) Can someone please ask Sheree why she was arrested twice for theft of pants from Saks Fifth Avenue? And what about her 23-year-old daughter she had at 15 that she doesn’t allow to call her mother? Seems like “classy” is not quite the word to describe her…

3) Someone should please tell Kim and Lisa that being shady and lying is not the business. Kim, cancer is not something to pretend about. Lisa, you shouldn’t play 7th grade he said/she said when the camera is taping you the whole time during that Nene limo song fiasco!! At the reunion, you told on yourself by trying to overtalk Kim when we ALL knew it was you who told Sheree. Take a lesson from Nene. Woman up.

4) I like DeShawn (and Nene) the best, but a speech therapist is in order for Mrs. Snow. “Jewry” and “Alana” are not words last time I checked. I appreciate that she values faith, but she should also not allow herself to be controlled by a pimp, “Bishop” Eddie Long. Think about this: You get special status as long as you deliver him his paper? Hmmmmmm.

5) Please give NeNe and Dwight their own show!

6) Bravo, please add an additional character next season (a “real” elite member of society, i.e. a Michelle Obama or Claire Huxtable type.) I would love to see how these broads react to legit society. Then let’s have the cameras follow them around as they attempt to can gain admission into, say the Guardmen’s Ball or the Boule meeting. That would be great tv!! Lol.

TRen, beautifully put! That’s why I don’t understand ( am flabbergasted, actually) that one of the posters would dismiss DeShawn’s dreadful diction as acceptable because “only old white people” care about matters like that.

Are you kidding me?! How (and WHY) would anyone limit proper diction to old whities?!! I am white, but one of the things I always found bothersome about the show was knowing full well that this country is replete with genuinely accomplished black women who don’t regard proper diction as being only for old white people and who wouldn’t be caught dead saying things like “we had went”.

Ughh. I don’t know. ALL the “ladies” had crappy diction, but DeShawn was the worst, followed by Queen Sheree, ironically enough.

Anyway, I find it so disappointing that some people attribute good diction as being a white thing. How sad! And how are children supposed to do well in school if they are made to feel that using proper language is something that only white folks care about?

Way to destroy any chance at future success for them! Anyway, thank you, Ren, for confirming what I already knew all along: you can be poor and still have dignity and propriety, regardless of your race.

While these ladies on the show were immature, over the top and plain clueless, the problem I have are with the racist, generalizing posts that are lumping all African American women in Atlanta with these women. I am yet to read anyone stating that all Caucasian women are like Kim, because guess what…they are not, no more that the AA women on the show being indicative of other AA in Atlanta and nationwide. The same people that are making these generalizations are actually just as low-class, ignorant as the people on the show. How is it possible that because you meet or interact with 50-100 AA women in Atlanta and suddenly you believe this is how we all behave? Some of you have had less interaction with AA Atlant women so you are really pathetic. My request to you….get out of your “hood” mentality. You are obviously no different than these tacky wives.

I have some Reality TV for you! Pay my family and see what a mother of three (3) boys go through on a daily bases to keep the bills paid. How I’m struggling with a 15 year old son, who’s trying to figure out who he is, and what he want to do in life. See me sit down at my table and decide do I pay the light bill, or make an arrangement so we can eat. How am I gonna make sure I have all the rent money so my boys can have a roof over their head. That’s reality for you. Will I make it to work, because I need gas to make it to my job, trying to figure out what if anything at all my sons will get for Christmas.

See how I sit and cry and wonder “How are we going to make it.”

Spending $6500 on shoes, I need that to pay the rent, and maybe can go to Payless and catch a sale. This is my Reality.

Let’s yell Action, and let the camera follow me around, and see what Reality TV should be!!!!!!

The RHWOA shouldn’t be generalized to represent any one group of women in Atlanta or anywhere else. Any one of them could be paired to someone else regardless of race or socioeconomic status. Here’s my 2-cents:

DeShawn butchered Standard English throughout the show. I think her intentions are sincere, but she needs to lose the shallow and superficial helplessness; Take some grammar courses before she attempts to mentor young girls; Pray for humility; and Acknowledge that HER HUSBAND is the one with the money and notariety!

NeNe might be a perceived as a little rough around the edges, but she was The Real Deal. No one had to wonder where NeNe stood on most things. NeNe needs to watch her back with Lisa. It became obvious that Lisa started the “mess” after the limo ride, then tried to loud talk Kim on the reunion show once the truth TRIED to be told. NeNe find yourself some REAL friends.

Sheree ought to smell herself because she is SO FULL OF IT! Bob probably thought he had something worthwhile when he landed her, but he married a venemous snake. Yep, she and Kim are two leeches. What jobless woman needs a publicist, a personal assistant, a chef, etc., etc.???

Lisa really disappointed me on the show. Her true colors were shown at the end when Kim exposed that Lisa told her about NeNe’s impromptu song in the limo. Lisa has a lot going for her - people skills, business sauvvy, and style. She doesn’t need to overshadow these good qualities by being sneaky, two-faced, and manipulative. Come on Lisa, do a little reflection and get yourself together.

Kim, Bless Your Heart. You are stupid and shallow and don’t even know it. Big Poppa ought to be embarrassed that he has wasted his money on such a dingbat. You’re not a black woman in a white woman’s body. You are just an empty-headed opportunist. When you referred to NeNe as a “low-budget bitch”, you were talking about yourself.

One thing about it, BRAVO surely knows how to market good TV drama. If there is another season of this mess, I will be tuned in just to see how much more drama will be generated.

i saw the show about the wives of the OC.They were better than these ones.They had their own lives and worked and earned money,not marrying it to have it.I hated to see when they portrayed black housewives,all the fighting and ghetto-ness was still in them,even when they had money.They looked like a BEEF between rappers.Spend 6k for a suit,not that time. NeNe - here’s some free advice, you should check in with DeShawn’s attorney (or another) to help you revise the documents for your foundation. I feel sorry for Kim,she really looks 40! All of them have very bad taste in cloth and everything else but Kim beats them all! Go on the Atkins diet (Kim ,Nene and De Shawn) and imitate how refined people dress-no black stockings and black pumps allowed! Anyway when one is very fat nothing looks good. What happened to Lisa,she seemed the most savvy and less ‘show off’ of all of them. That outburst did not help her image. It is hypocritical on her part to act as the mediator-she contributed to the gossip too. Nene calling Kim a racist was a low blow. It is evident,despite all her flaws, racism isn’t one of them. Shame on you Nene!!!You are the one that acted racist! Despite this display of reverse racism on her part, she is the most likable person probably because she so in ‘your face’ that is is funny. I feel sorry for Kim,she really looks 40! All of them have very bad taste in cloth and everything else but Kim beats them all! Go on the Atkins diet (Kim ,Nene and De Shawn) and imitate how refined people dress-no black stockings and black pumps allowed! Anyway when one is very fat nothing looks good. What happened to Lisa,she seemed the most savvy and less ‘show off’ of all of them. That outburst did not help her image. It is hypocritical on her part to act as the mediator-she contributed to the gossip too. Nene calling Kim a racist was a low blow. It is evident,despite all her flaws, racism isn’t one of them. Shame on you Nene!!!You are the one that acted racist! Despite this display of reverse racism on her part, she is the most likable person probably because she so in ‘your face’ that is is funny. As for De Shawn, she should grow up and not act like a spoiled rich kid. To summarize, spend less money,lose weight, and don’t embarrass your community!

Anytime people get in front of the camera they have to run the risk of being criticized and there past being dug up. Usually by people who don’t have the courage to follow there dreams. They become jealous because you have the courage and now they want to expose your mistakes. Well hello. Everybody has a closet. Everbody has done stupid, mindless things. And i mean everybody. Nomatter how pure they seem. I remember everybody though the Jacksons was this perfect family. Little did they know the hell that went on in that house hold. They were all perfect looking kids with beatiful afros and majical performances on stage. It has nothing to do with after they walk off the stage.That part was totally different. You know, like preat who sound so eloquent but turn out to be pediphiles and homosexuals. You never know about people. Thats why we should stop judging and just enjoy the entertainment. Thats all it is.

Kim did not have cancer—she said it wasn’t cancer but something else and she is fine now. Seemed like she told the lie to evoke pity and sympathy cause she was being exposed and couldn’t handle it.

Sherre is really disgusting and her husband should take these tapes to court so the judge can see she needs to learn to do her part and contribute to some support of herself and children.

You really got to love NeNe—she is a great person and she needs to move on from Sheree because I like her believe she delibertly left her off the list when she had the party because she felt NeNe was too low classed to associate with and for the world to see cause Sherree thing she is “better” but her foolishness just backfired and she ended up being the most hated for her bad behavior.

Most of the women need to fire the person doing their hair. You are in Atlanta BEweavableville. Ne Ne hair is cut cute but not beweavable at all and Deshawn’s not even close. You can see where Deshawns hairline is practically gone. Sheree might be a bitch but her hair real and fake always looks good. Atlanta is the one city that knows how to weave without it looking fake or wiggy. Kim, you need to just start all over from scratch. Why are you on the show? Why can’t we have an all black cast? I don’t see the other RH shows with any rich black women. Lisa is a s** started and not a true friend. When Kim called NeNe a drag queen she was right there laughin with them. I wish NeNe would have addressed it at the reunion, this is why she is so p**. Kim and Sheree both think she’s ugly and they’re pretty. How could Sheree keep a straight face when she told Kim she could sing? It’s a trashy show, but addictive. It’s like watchin a train wreck, I can’t turn away!

I watch this show on a regular & it is very entertaining. I’m sure it’s a struggle to raise a family being high profile people, but my question is this. why are we calling them the real housewifes? That I would think applies to us women really doing it by ourselves. I’m not rich by no means, so I know the struggle. working 40+hrs a week,raising 4 kids (with school,homework, extra activities),cooking,cleaning,shopping.Not everyone lives a fabulous life.They do all seem like good women, so I don’t wanna take that from them. But if you want a real show tape my life & others like me for a month, that’s real “on the grind” Atlanta!

I just watched the reunion show and I have to say that although I am not black my nationality is Hawaiian, Samoan, Irish, Scottish, French and Chinese but I think that Black woman are THE most beautiful women on earth. Nene, Lisa, Deshawn and Sheree are all very attractive women in their own way. Their skin is flawless they are very fashionable they are just gorgeous. I admire black women my friends and I often try to copy their styles whether it be hair style or clothing - shoes etc…Black women have set a trend for alot of women especially for us of a Polynesian culture since we have a lot in common. I enjoyed the show and look forward to the next season!

You all know that this show was the bomb shiggity, that is why ratings were so high. It was very entertaining to say the least. I love NeNe - she keeps it real. Lisa and Ed were fun to watch. Quit hating on Deshawn. She came across as very mature and who loves her husband and very supportive. Believe it or not I even liked sheree. Quit hating- she is pretty and maybe if people was not always telling her that she wouldnt come across as stuck up. As far as Kim goes- I think she really is a nice person with some self esteem issues, but needs a loyal friend. Dwight is awesome! Come on season 2!

I watched the Atlanta Housewives marathon and I must say, it was entertaining however, the women do not represent the real African American housewives in Atlanta that are educated, rich, and really connected. I was really disappointed to see Atlanta’s Chief of Police at Sheri’s party moreover, to see Dallas Austin waste his time with Kim.

Let me give you my real assessment about each of the women:

1. Sheri is a “wannabe”. I have never heard of this woman and she is not impressive. I certainly can understand why her husband left this cold no personality woman. Sheri is the gold digger and without class. NeNe has more class that Sheri. If the truth shall be told; Sheri is jealous of NeNe. NeNe has a husband and children who adores and supports her in all of her endeavors.

2. Kim is bi-polar and needs to learn self-respect. Her relationship with the infamous “Big Poppa” is sending the wrong message to her daughters.

3. DeShawn is living in a make believe world but she appears to be a humble person but, who in their right mind would plan a $1 million dollar fundraiser in one week without a professional fundraiser. And the individuals there with the jewelry would be suspect and I certainly do not blame her guest for not making any purchases.

4. Lisa is my girl; she is beautiful, smart, and actually works for a living. Lisa is real and there is nothing pretentious about her.

5. NeNe keeps it real and she is the most realistic one of them all. NeNe is on target both about Sheri and Kim.

Finally, I applaud the ladies for opening their lives to the public and after watching the “Housewives of Orange County”, The Housewives of Atlanta are the top pick in comparison with the train wreck out of Orange County.

I am sick of reality TV. I have not watched the show, only the reunion and I was disgusted. I met Sheree years ago and she is still just as nasty as she was then. Kim should use some of the money she wastes to help her Dad who is a door to door salesman. I hope it does not come back for another season.

The Reunion show was very interesting. My favorite is definately Lisa. Who cares about her past or if she participated in the gossip she has alot of personality and she is beautiful. I think someone out there should contact Lisa for her own Talk show I bet it would be successful and entertaining. I also like Nene but that is it. For Season 2 maybe you should consider replacing the other 3 women.

As a loyal fan of the RHOA and multi site blogger I missed the Tue airing of the Reunion show and couldnt wait until I viewed the show personally. I also would not allow fellow dedicated viewers spoil THE WHAT HAPPENED factor.

Soooooooooooooooooooo Great great reunion show, overall. Surprises however. Lisa is greatly suspect and is hiding something. She is hiding a very emotional side of herself or her past. Come clean it is reality is TV. short of sharing all details - we know theres a darker and more aggressive side to you. Kim poor baby. You also have an aggressive side but dont back down. Sheree is MYSTERY MEAT FROM the CAFETERIA. The verdick is still out for her?? Deshawn SNOOZEEEEE. Im sure she is a nice lady. She is not reality TV material, though. If she plays the airhead then she is a keeper. Is she an airhead?? The 6th HOA, Dwight? I LOVE HIM, ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM……………

Ms NeNe she makes the RHOA REAL. This is reality TV and a great show. Cant wait til next season. Cant view the other Housewives shows. Too fake and boring. RHOA 2009 add or bring on a spicy spanish lady to the cast. lets bring someone on to really shake things up..

I’m seriously offended by the comments of bloggers that the the show accurately depicts black women of Atlanta. I’ve never seen a dumber, or more ghetto crop of women. I’m not jealous (none of them appear to have the God-given sense they were born with) but I refuse to glorify women who haven’t done anything worthwhile. I love that NeNe claims that she doesn’t need to keep up with the Joneses because she in the Joneses. Right…evicted and a fraud is what she is. There are many DECENT, hard-working, educated, black women in Atlanta who DO NOT fit this scandulous depiction of women (and I use the word women loosely). No self-respecting woman, no matter her ethnic background or social class, would appear on a show this trite. And I’m tired of all the respondents on this blog equating ghetto behavior to ‘keeping it real.’ Real dumb is more like it. Get a clue for crying out loud. There is a way to keep it real without debasing yourself in the process. And for God’s sake, NeNe, do something about your hair. You look like Becky meets Kunta…

Its sad to think that most of the tramps on there think they have taste. They dont even have money. If it went for the men that they married, all they would have (some of them) would be their criminal records, much less a “real record”.(sorry kim, my dog sings better than you.
