11/10: Newnan’s “Bachelorette” DeAnna Pappas breaks off engagement
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
DeAnna Pappas, the adorable “Bachelorette” from Newnan, is a bachelorette again.
Over the summer on the ABC reality show, Pappas picked goofy snowboarder Jesse Csincsak over sweet but kind of dull divorcee Jason Mesnick (who will be the next “Bachelor”). The wedding was set for May, 2009. But she has broken it off, according to a video [below] Csincsak posted last week:
He looks a bit humbled, very subdued, clearly pained. Here’s what he says:
“All of you guys have been amazing and followed us and supported us. I kind of feel like it’s our responsibility to tell you we’re not together anymore. DeAnna broke up with me two days ago. I just wanted to come on here face to face I’m sorry. I did everything in my power to make this work. She’s a great person but she wasn’t willing to try. She wanted something different, I guess. The answer I got, ‘I love you. I’m not in love with you.’ That’s a lot to swallow no matter who you are when you’re in love and put yourself out there. It’s a lot, a lot to take in.
I’m going to try to get a hold of Pappas today. I haven’t seen a response from her yet.

Surprise! I felt that she picked the wrong man from the beginning. The other guy with the son was more stable and he did fall in love with her. Instead, she chose the *free-spirited’ snowboard dude. He’s probably sitting on a mound of snow right now with his mouth poked out. Good luck to you Ms. Pappas.

She deserves to be single! She was an idiot to pick that goof ball, Jesse, over Jason. Jesse will be over it after a few slopes and Jason is better off without her!

What do you expect when you try to make something work with a petty, self centered, shallow, flighty tease. She is using her looks to get what she wants and when those are gone then she will be alone and lonely….I hope.

What a surprise … uh … not! I too felt she picked the wrong guy, but I have to say I think all of these guys are much better off without her. It’s so obvioius that all she is interested in is the Hollywood fame and fortune.

I have had the pleasure of meeting DeAnna, and I think you are all being overly harsh. Did it occur to anyone at all that she is a small town Newnan girl who happened to get swept up into a TV romance where “every day is a new romantic adventure” and is not like making it work in real life?? I am sure she really did feel that she was in love with Jessie, but when you put that into reality, it didnt pan out. BIG DEAL!!! She is entitled to change her mind, just like we are. Hers just happened to be on TV for everyone to see.

Maybe if our society hadn’t reduced the idea of love and marriage to something that can be awarded as a game show prize, this wouldn’t happen.
What do people expect? That a real, honest, loving human relationship will actually occur as a result of this BS? C’mon. It’s TV from beginning to end. How many seasons of this garbage have been created and how many of the relationships ever survived?

Seriously? How can you call Jesse a goof when he’s the sincere one, and all she wants is fame and fortune. She’s the goof for ditching him. Did anyone see the episode where she was crying that noone was paying attention to her? She’s a whinny, bratty, self-centered cry-baby and good for Jesse to not have to put up with her crap anymore. My one true love, my @$$ !!! This, and all the other “reality” shows have one premise — will behave badly for money. That’s it … that’s the list. Surely you don’t believe this is anything more than cheap entertainment. The show doesn’t have to have script writers, or a set, just a minimum few characters, some camera/sound gear and voile! You’re on the air, for better or worse… preferrably worse. Blecchhh!!

Love of your life on tv??? Ryan and Trista are really lucky!
Everyone watching was groaning when she picked the doofus.
And if you wonder why we sometimes watch — you can watch just a couple of times and get the jist of what’s going on — and it sometimes beats the violence and blood and gore on other channels. Sorry, it’s just a break from the other stupid things on tv. Like survivior — where they have to learn new names to be on there. Yep, they don’t even use their real names. Elizabeth on The View said it took her a while to realize when they were actually talking to her! Truly, you don’t mean to get hooked but you watch the last one if you’ve watched at least two and see how stupid the pick is — then you wait to see the People magazine in the store saying “boo-hoo, they broke up”. Duh.

Oh, I must have missed the part where she was quietly knitting doilies by the fireplace, when the big bad studio execs crashed through her door and she was unwittingly “swept up into a TV romance”. Thanks for clearing that up.
Fortunately for this chick, there are no shortage of guys like Some1Special that will bend over backwards to sniff the throne of a hot piece of azz, regardless of how she comports herself. So she’s got that going for her, anyway.

I have to agree … she did cry a lot about not getting attention. But she got her 15-minutes of fame … twice … and will soon either be on another reality show (like Bob was) or as a last ditch effort making a quick buck by posing naked for Playboy. (which is fine by me!).

This show is nothing more than legalized prostitution, in both the bachelor and bachelorette cases. Why not just hold an auction and let the contestant go to the highest bidder?

Rodney, don’t fall for Jesse’s audition tape to be the next bachelor.
Anyone who watched the whole season knows that Deanna was WAAAYY more into Jesse than Jesse was into her!
If Deanna did call things off, I bet it was because Jesse set it up that way. Most guys don’t want to be the ones to say that they broke a girl’s heart, so they act out until the girl dumps him first. He probably had Dee so bent out of shape that she lost that lovin’ feelin’.
By Susan
November 10, 2008 5:33 PM | Link to this
Since she was dumped the first time around she probably didn’t feel any loyalty to anyone but herself, just wanted to get back on television and in the long run probably wasn’t even in “love” with anybody. How is it possible to say you are in love and want to be married in such a short t.v. time span. VERY STUPIDAND CORNY IDEA FOR A REALITY SHOW) It seems the producers and the m.c. try to “play it up as very serious” which really seems VERY CHEESY. It the big real world that stuff is just FLUFF. The only honest and smart contestant on the show thus far has been the bachelor who dumped the other contestant and Deanna (although thought she was strikingly pretty but was overweight especially in the “booty area”.

I hope Jason is thanking the Gods for not being picked. Deanna was one french fry short of a happy meal and everyone knew it. Jason was WAAAAAAY too classy for her and lucky to be rid of her. I just wish he would find someone special in some way other than being the next Bachelor…my gosh look at the track record of everyone that has supposedly “found their true love” on the show. Deanna go back to your little town and your job in the bar. I’m sure you will be able to pick someone up about on par with Jesse.

I thought Deanna was really sincere in finally true love-boy was I fooled. When Brad dumped her on national television, I figured she wanted revenge and did not care who feelings were being hurt in the process. Lastly, “what goes around comes around”.

Before you think about getting married you should always get premarital counseling. Marriage is a big step. Deanna you really need to decide whether you want to get married or not. You can’t keep leading guys on. I think you still are afraid of getting hurt by someone and unless you deal with that fear you will not be able to move forward.
