Project Runway: Reunited and it feels so … good?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The high: Nice to have a change of scenery in the Hayden Planetarium.
The low: You hear one recycled “pooping fabric” joke, you heard ‘em all.
Why on earth did the producers choose Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein to be a guest judge on this particular epsiode? No doubt the man knows from avant-garde, but isn’t Calvin Klein’s house known for its minimalism? Just wondering.

The failed avant-garde dreams of Terri and Blayne.
As avant-garde goes, tonight’s design efforts were superior to last year’s avant-garde challenge (notably excepting Christian/Chris’ oversize, off-balance picture hat, and Victorya/Jillian’s dramatic cutaway coat), and I was glad that Jerell won.
However, I’m starting to get tired of Kenley’s attitude. Get over yourself already! (Did anybody notice she was first to offer sympathy hugs to the ousted Blayne and Terri? Nobody’s fooled, Kenley!)
Back to Jerell. His dress had an attractive mix of fabrics and nice lines (a bit muddled below the knee), though it seemed like the judges didn’t say too much in the way of praising it. Jerell designs like a wild man: He isn’t afraid to experiment, but he delivers mixed results. I applaud him for taking chances.
So, now that Terri’s gone, that shoots my prediction for an all-girl finale. I had a feeling she was going to go, though, because of her lousy attitude and the fact that she had never won a challenge.
Many of the designers were Libras, Scorpios, Aquarians and Sagittarians. There must be a serious creative streak in those signs but I wonder which sign is most likely to appear on a reality show?
The last word: Don’t forget, while we’re still sweltering in Atlanta’s 80-something highs, New York Fashion Week is looking ahead to Spring 2009. Learn more about New York Fashion Week by clicking here. Check out some video from Carolina Herrera’s show.
