12/1: Zakk looks to be the Dave morning host
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I heard from a good source that Chicago’s Zakk Tyler will indeed become the new Dave FM morning host. He was introduced to the Dave FM sales staff earlier this week.
Why the Powers That Be have not officially announced it yet, when he’ll actually start or whether Holly Firfer will be part of it is unknown to me. I haven’t gotten a callback yet from Wheeler.
Check out my Nov. 27 blog entry about this news here.

Can’t wait until he gets on the air in Atlanta. I used to listen to him in Chicago and loved his show.

What about Tim Orf? You do realize he’s part of the current morning show, right?

Doesn’t matter who else is on….beginning January 2nd. Star 94 and the Morning Mess will rule the ATL morning radio.

It doesn’t matter who Dave FM puts on in the morning as long as they stick with that whiny Birkenstock music and insist on employing that smarmy smartass Mara Davis. The only audience she appeals to are the blue collar cigarette smoking QuikTrip hotdog with jalapenos on it for lunch blue collar morons who are too old for 96Rock. They can’t fill out an Arbitron book because most of them can’t read one. And what’s up with that asinine morning show? Tim Orf? “Wow man. Look at the pretty colors”. Stoner radio was over in the late 70s. Put Firfer on there with some old Stones/Faces/Black Crowes records in a one poece bathing suit and a studio cam & watch the ratings soar.
