10/18: Where are the Regular Guys? (small update)

They were doing a “worst of” Tuesday and again today in the middle of the fall book. (Spring and fall are considered more important for radio than winter and summer so you’ll notice that morning shows will only take vacation during winter and summer, not spring and fall.) Their absence means something unusual is going on. Larry Wachs was kind of vague in his blog:
My deepest apologies, TRG fans, but we are not scheduled to return to the airwaves until Thursday whilst some pressing personal business is being dealt with. Thank you for your patience. I will be having another Watch Wachs Eat Club soon to make up for it. And I will allow talking. That’s how sorry I am.
Eric declined to comment. No answer on Larry’s phone. Mike Wheeler, their boss, said, “It’s nothing I want to discuss right now.” That’s not good. Wheeler’s boss Chuck Deskins said: “The only thing I can tell you, There’s an internal issue. They are off the air for a couple of days until we can get this issue resolved.”
Now I’m really curious! A good source tells me this was not anything FCC related or anything they did on the air. So maybe it was something that happened off the air between Larry and Eric? It’s no secret that the two aren’t exactly buddy buddy.

The radio-info boards were talking about an FCC investigation of TRG show. Are they in trouble AGAIN?

It’s that SOB SS Shirley he’s gotten then in trouble with FCC yet again!!!
RODNEY NOTES: Southside was not the man who got them in the trouble the first time around. It was Virgin Murray who was at the production board when the porn talk inadvertently landed on the air back in 2004.

Wonder if it has to do with Kelly Brown leaving. They said she left the show but had no other job lined up. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear that she filed an EEOC complaint. Al Sharpton could be coming to Atlanta.

Is it just me? Does anyone else see a problem with Celebs. running out of fads like pink dogs, bling bling, and now have created a fad that was committed several hundered years ago, made illegal, and destroyed an entire race! I am tired of seeing where they have gone to Africa, and every other poor country and baught themself a what was called a N*.
If they really wanted to do something good for those children. Instead of stripping them away from their parents. Hell give the family a thousand dollars per month until the child reaches adulthood. That would be more than enough money for the family, and the child will grow up with their family. That is much less than The Material Girl paying three million for her new fad!
Just a little something to think about!!!! Because I sware on my life NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because in this Century a few of us can afford to go to England and buy us a little cute fad also!

I bet it has something to do with those beaners Yogi and panda. Larry played some audio from the bathroom in which they were laughing and carrying on. Maybe they gave away some trade secrets in spanish and Larry didn’t know what the hell they were saying. Stupid mexicans. First they demand amnisty, now they are getting our regular guys in trouble.

The RG’s are weak. They have nothing to talk about except frikking illegal aliens. I’m sick of the illegals AND TRG talking about them. “Best of” — “Worst of” what’s the damn difference?? Even if the Regular Guys are THERE— live in the studio, it’s ALWAYS the WORST OF… the worst of Atlanta Radio. I really hope people here in ATL on business or traveling NEVER stumble across their show by accident flipping the radio channels. Geez, they would leave thinking all Atlantans are stupid toothless rednex who listen and actually buy the Regular Guys’ mentality. eeewwww…

And now they are “offended.” I am offended they don’t speak the English Language. Fire Pancho and Villa! Get VIVA off the air. If those clowns can’t take a joke, enroll them in a sensitvity/comedy course for dummies where the theme is Don’t tick off the majority audience.

the Regular Guys have been taken off the 96 rock website.no longer listed under the staff button.all references to thier up coming events are gone. i guess they are once again off the air for good.
