10/13: Air America files for bankrupty protection

Sorry. I was out for part of the afternoon and only now have time to include the fact that liberal talk show network Air America filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, something that was hinted at on the Web about a month ago.

Air America lost its Atlanta affiliate over the summer when Joe Weber purchased AM1690. He has kept Al Franken on but is playing an eclectic mix of music in other time slots. The network has not found a new outlet yet in Atlanta. Overall, the network is on 90 stations but has struggled in many places for ratings traction.

Here’s the story It says the network has lost $40 million in two years.

Aw man…we can’t let AA die just yet…can’t you libs pore a few more million down this sinkhole? Every million that goes to Air America is a million that doesn’t go to the DNC.

The ironic part is that they get file under the new GOP bankruptcy law. You know that law which ads more “personal responsibility” to bankruptcy and makes it harder to go bankrupt? Well, that law actually makes it easier for corporations to shed debt and retain assets! LOL!

Air America is having trouble because it is poorly managed. That it is liberal has nothing to do with it. Ed Shultz is the fastest growing syndicated radio show in the country, and it is liberal.

More irony, the AA people are starting another (soon to fail, I’m sure) liberal network. I’m sure that loser Franken and that even bigger loser Randy Rhodes(I can’t imagine even a moveon.org lib would listen to that garbage) will be on there again. Ed Schultz may be the fastest growing because he’s the only halfway reasonable sounding lib on air. It makes it hard to run a talk radio station when you’re almost always wrong and there is no rational defense of your opinions, so expect the new AA to go up in smoke in 3 years just like the 1st version.
