10/3: Do you like Rhubarb?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The longest running morning host in town is Rhubarb Jones at Eagle 106.7. The congenial host, who now works with Dallas McCade, doesn’t get a lot of attention. He wasn’t nearly as polarizing as Moby, who faced off against Rhubarb back in the 1990s.
Any thoughts on the man compared to his competiton over the years? Personally, I’m not sure if he has any plans to retire anytime soon.

I think Rhubarb was a great jock in the heyday of WYAY… when it was Y106. I haven’t heard him in a while as I live in Florida, but he’s one of the main reasons I got into radio. His humor and timing was always impeccable and he has the knack for being personable without trying.

Rhubarb is the most humble radio host you will hear in Atlanta. The guy is great at what he does and gives back to the community like no other.

Rhubarb is great. I’ve met him at events many times over the years and he always talks to me like I’m a good friend. His success is due to his charm, hospitality, humility, and his willingness to give of himself and his time. Keep up the great work sir.

Rhubarb is an honorable man! He does a lot for so many people and never wants anything in return. Rhubarb loves his family, his country and it shows through his acts of kindness and generousity. I would only hope the other radio personalities would be as noble and just for all. He is a true gentlemen’s gentleman. I love to listen to him and Dallas every morning. They are the best!

Rhubarb Jones must be the genuine article and it comes across as such - the people at the station must know what they are dealing with as far as he is concerned and they knew what Moby really is - a fake and phoney. While both have huge ego’s at least Rhubard can keep his in check.
And, poor Will seems to be adrift in a sea of his own stupidity.

Rhubarb has achieved nearly every benchmark and acolade available to country music radio. He remembers that radio is supposed to be fun. Plus, he has gone above and beyond to use the popularity of his show and the staiton to help worth causes. He is a class act…with more class than act.

C’mon Rodney. Now our little troll is just re-posting the same old diatribe-with minor alterations. Blocking him, at least until he comes up with something different (less boring) is the proper way to deal with a troll. That being said, I feel sorry for you Will. Sucks to be you…

I love Rhubarb!
He is a good, ole Georgia Boy! There is nothing pretentious about him at all.
I truly enjoy his personality and his sincerity that sets him apart from so many of today’s on-air personalities.
I like Steve Barnes a great deal as well, but Barnes could certainly learn MUCH from Rhubarb Jones.

He is just what Atlanta radio needs. He is down home country. He exibits what a true Mason is, fair, honest, and a goodnatured brother. He is the only radio show in Atlanta that I would feel comfortable listening to with anyone from my mother to my youngest daughter. A true treasure to Atlanta.

I like the show, it is very clean and some Atlanta traditions are good things, whereas some like stations flipping formats just gets boring.

Rhubarb is a wounderful man. He treats everyone like they have been his next door neighbor for the last 20 years. I think cleberties can take a lesson from Rhubarb on how to treat your fans.

Rhubarb Jones has the most affected radio handle ever. Maybe he should have a sidekick named Ruta Bega or Ava Kado.
