6/27: Rashan Ali is pregnant
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Rashan Ali, co-host of the A Team on Hot 107.9, is pregnant with her first child. She and her husband of four years Brian are due in December. She said she’s had a smooth first trimester. No morning sickness, which is causing rampant jealousy among her friends.

My husband makes me listen to 107.9 in the morning on the way to work. I don’t particularly care for them but I love to hear about pregnant women. They make the world go round. So, now I will listen more intently and send positive messages her way. God Bless you and may you have the healthiest baby in the world. Get plenty of rest and MAKE that man take good care of you.
P.S. Old wives tale - do not vacuum while you are pregnant. I used that on my husband 9 years ago when I was pregnant with our 1st child and I still haven’t had to start vacuuming again yet. Milk it for all it is worth, girl.

Congrats Rashan….my wife is pregnant as well and her first trimester has been a roller coaster ride with emotional changes and sickness. Also, great morning show that the A-Team is providing Atlanta in the mornings……..again, congrats!

Rashan and Brian,
There are lots of people who have care and concern for you. I don’t listen to the station, but I am an avid reader of the AJC. I must say that children are a blessing from God and I pray that once the baby arrives, you will feel that way. Be blessed of the Lord and pray for Orland and se. You can tell by their comments that they don’t have the spirit of love about them. They really need a friend, JESUS!

Congratulations to you and your husband. Blessings and love to this precious child…. Every now and then I have to encounter the ignorance of a person. Sometimes, it’s best to not even attempt to make sense out of their “nonsense”. Within their own “little” world they appear much bigger than what they really are. In cases such as those, leave them in their pile of stupidity and ill-bred mannerisms. Life is too short and beautiful to waste on such little people. I wish you the very best.

Shelly, Shelly, Shelly, why would you respond to such an ignorant question? You should have left me in my….. “pile of stupidity and ill-bred mannerisms. Life is too short and beautiful to waste on such little people.”
Regardless, I’ll wish you the best and send you a hug. There is an undertone of anger, arrogance, and condescension in your initial post that makes my heart frown! Surely you don’t expect intellectual conversation in an AJC Blog Post!

I personally enjoy the A-Team Morning show. RaShan I am very happy for you and your husband. I can’t believe how cruel people are being, it makes you wonder what’s going on in their world that’s making them lash out at such a beautiful thing. Everyone is not as blessed to be able to have a child. So don’t let anybody still your joy.

Congratulations Rashan. You have truly come into your own is this time that you’ve been hon-the-hair. A Baby is a blessing and I too can remember when you were first married. Doesn’t seem like so long ago now that I think about it. My radio in my car in broken now and I told myself that I have to get it fixed so that I can listen tot the A-Team in the morning. You are fairing so well since RC left. Hey by the way - did Janet ever come to the studio (We want Janet in the studio, we want Janet in the studio, we want Janet in the studio, any day, any day!)?

With the type of Music 107.9 plays, let’s all hope it’s a boy or else she will have to watch her MOTHER go to work and play music that calls her and all other African-American women, Ho’s, Slts, and Btches. Let’s also pray she isn’t subject to having to watch a Hip-Hop video full of strippers and 1/2 naked black women!

Rashan, CONGRATULATIONS to you and your husband. The labor pains aren’t too bad. I have two children and I NEVER knew that I was in labor. I thought my babies were doing a lot of moving. Therefore, I was only in labor for a few hours.
Babies are a joy REGARDLESS of their situations…EVERY creation are gifts from God. The disrepsectful and rude remarks by others are uncalled for and unjustifiable.
Ignorance can be fixed, but stupidity is forever and some of you have proven that you are the later.

Congrats to you! Personally I stopped listening to the show the day she embarassed the girl on the radio for her grammar. I don’t think the show has any substance, but regardless of how bad the show is every woman deserves to enjoy her pregnancy free of problems and issues. I wish you a healthy pregnancy. (Just stop correcting people it makes you sound arrogant and not intelligent.) To person with the wart, a visit to a doctor always is a start.

Just Askin’- why did you feel that it was necessary to post that comment? Who cares whether or not you listen to the show?? You are one person out of the thousands that do. Just congratulate her and keep your two cents to yourself. To the whole A-Team- I LOVE you guys! You show your true personalities everyday and I totally appreciate that you don’t try to be fake just to appease some listeners (and former listeners). Rashan, may God bless your new baby and your husband. My pregnancy was one of the happiest and most fulfilling times of my life; I hope that you enjoy it!

But any who i want to give you congrats on your priceless expectation that is due in december so don’t get to excited about morning sickness cause just because you don’t get with your first baby doesn’t mean you want to second time around so watch your steps and watch what you say cause it can come back around to bite you later like it did me with me second baby. But, for get your brag on girl and let your friend hate you cause they got sick they probably got stretch marks too (ha-ha) So, good luck and may god bless you and your new beginnings to life. If you got time give “Louisville, KY” Knownn for the Kentucky Derby a shout out. Thanks i still love Atlanta and will always to your station as long as its on the air.
