5/24: Free FM advocate gets call from CBS
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
According to Joey Mills’ Free FM in Atlanta blog, he got a call last week from a CBS programming exec Rob Barnett, aware of his campaign to bring Opie & Anthony and FM talk and drop Dave FM. I don’t think this indicates that CBS is about to change Dave’s format but that Barnett was sort of curious about an individual person so interested in O&A and Toucher & Rich that they’d have an official phone campaign like this.
And for you skeptics (TSM and Michael below specifically), I called Rob Barnett’s office and corroborated with his secretary Maureen that yes, Rob called Joey May 18. It’s in her log book.

5/23: Q100 changes
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The radio wonks at www.radio-info.com are gabbing today about the changes at Q100, however subtle to the average listener.
The new owner Cumulus has already tightened the music on Q100, amping up the top songs to nearly 100 times a week (i.e. “Temperature” by Sean Paul and “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter)
They have added a new slogan “10 in a row all day!”
They have eliminated the mid-day Jen Hobby entertainment report.
The lunchtime Cardio Radio dance mix show appears to be gone but there is a supposed “all request hour” on Wednesdays at noon.
With Jamie gone, Dylan isn’t gabbing as much in the late afternoons. As of today, Jamie’s photo is still on the Web site. The new Web masters at Cumulus haven’t caught it.
As noted, the Bert Show sounds the same and the A-Town Phat 5 countdown survived.
