5/20: The fall TV skeds and why Everwood died
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
TV Guide reports that the success of the “7th Heaven” finale is why the new CW paid the extra moulah to keep it on an 11th season and as a result, the critically acclaimed “Everwood” was axed.
There are lots of angry critics over this one move, especially since the CW decided to fit in a weekly “America’s Next Top Model” repeat. A sample.
And here’s the early 2006-07 television grid. Given the early time frame, this is certainly subject to change but provides you a taste of what things will look like come September.

Someone at the AJC should start up a TV blog for this kind of thing. Better yet, anyone interested could just leaf through EW.com and look at their updates. A TV blog here would probably descend into racist diatribes and “pillow-biter”-style insults like every other AJC forum.
