Studio 72 puts out call for gorgeous gals
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
We may pop by this afternoon’s scheduled employee job search at Jermaine Dupri’s Tucker nightclub Studio 72 just to strain our neck muscles.
In an e-mail to Buzz Central and on a positively provocative listing posted at Craigslist.org Tuesday, the nightclub announced it is seeking new model employees — literally.

According to the e-mail, Studio 72 is searching for gorgeous females “from all ethnicities that exude confidence, are energetic and have an excellent personality to mingle with club patrons.”
And since Buzz is all about public service, we’re only too happy to detail some of the open positions.
For starters, the club needs go-go dancers who are “required to wear crazy outfits” and have an “ability to dance in heels or go-go boots for an extended period of time.”
Aspiring swimsuit models, meanwhile, must “enjoy sitting in the club’s hot tub while interacting with patrons” and “must be OK with getting your hair wet.” Pay: $125 per night.
At $200 for three hours’ work, sushi models will be better compensated but the position is decidedly more, um, personal. Women, preferably Asian, should be slim built, “clean and body shaven” to be showcased horizontally while patrons eat sushi off of you.
Body-painted shooter girls and dominatrix models (who “must provide their own attire”) are also being sought.
But our favorite open position currently at Studio 72? “Eye candy models” who will be “interacting with patrons in different sections of the club as well as in VIP.” The compensation is $100 “minimum” nightly.
Oh, and since professional cameras and video recorders are allowed inside Studio 72, you should be comfortable with digital souvenirs being taken of you in your workplace for potential future fame on youtube.com or various other online destinations dedicated to human sushi serving dishes.
We’re told that the “casting call” today will be from 4 to 7 p.m. For directions, call 770-934-2975.
Shutterbug Chesney
After sampling celebrity shutterbug Kenny Chesney’s work on an ajc.com photo gallery this week, some of you wanted to know more about the artsy photograph credited to Chesney, snapped of his audience at the first of his sold-out shows at Hi Fi Buys Amphitheatre over the weekend. Ajc.com concert photographer Robb Cohen told us Tuesday that in shooting 3,000 shows, the scenario had never happened to him before. During Chesney’s opening song, the singer spotted Cohen down front and requested his camera.

Kenny Chesney
“My first reaction was, ‘Do I really want to hand my $5,000 camera to this guy!?’ ” Cohen told us. “Then he smiled and repeated, ‘Give me your camera.’ ” So, Cohen handed it over and Chesney, still performing with microphone in hand, started snapping away at the smitten fans in front of him.
According to Cohen, Chesney might have a solid second career ahead of him. “I had the camera on auto focus but it’s still a pretty complicated thing to operate,” he explained. “He did some really nice, arty things with the lighting.”
A reply from Rathbun
After wincing his way through our item on his new steak joint Tuesday, Inman Park restaurateur Kevin Rathbun thoughtfully rang Buzz Central. He assured us that Kevin Rathbun Steak has now added a healthy helping of humility to the menu. Still, it may not help Atlanta diners eager to sample his steaks any time soon. The chef told us that the hot 150-seat eatery is currently booked three to four weeks out on weekends. This Saturday, for example, the restaurant already has logged 400 covers and has a waiting list with 62 names on it. However, Rathbun assured us that the help will now be a bit nicer to us all as they now politely inform reservation-seeking diners that there’s a two-top available on Arbor Day 2010.
