Are you ready for a G-rated college movie?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
At least one new movie this weekend is out of the ordinary, if not extraordinary.
The title: “College Road Trip.” The costar: Martin Lawrence. Now, take a deep breath. The rating: G.
I can’t immediately think of any movie in the last couple of decades that’s been set on a college campus and been rated so family friendly.
“College Road Trip” is an attempt by Disney to take one of its TV stars — “That’s So Raven’s: Raven-Symone — and make her a big-screen celebrity. She plays a smart, with-it high school graduate who goes on a wacky trip with her dad (Lawrence) to sample potential college spots.
And why not? Disney’s already filming the “Hannah Montanna” movie in Nashville.
“College Road Trip” explores father-daughter issues, is filled with jokes (I cannot recall hearing a single cuss word) and is aimed at entertaining not only your pre-teen, but grandma, too.
Usually, G-rated movies are animated (“Ratatouille”) or of the documentary persuasion (“Arctic Tale”). A live-action, G-rated film is most often insipid and uninspired (think “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium”).
Will you and your family go see “College Road Trip”? How important are G-rated movies in your entertainment choices?

I didn’t know it was rated G, but that’s cool with me! We get a chance to see something fun and funny, without the sex and profanity!!!! (the very movies I will not patronize as a family!) And my daughter is ready to see it too………………so go Disney!!!

I am so excited about this movie. I am dragging my 15 year old to it this weekend. I hope it will be everything I want it to be. With college talk on the table for us every evening, I think this may be a fun relief.

I have to applaud Disney for making this movie Rated G. I think that a lot of families are eager to see some movies where they don’t have to worry about violence or sex. Props to Raven and Martin for starring in this.

It might be a college movie in the sense that the movie is about seeing college, but I don’t think the primary audience is intended to be college students like other movies that are rated PG-13 or R. This movie is probably trying to reach out to middle and high schoolers with future college ambitions and their families. The movie also seems to depict relationships between family members over that of just between friends, so that it might become a family event.

Pipedream. College is not G-Rated. It is NC-17. That’s why you are usually at least 18 when you go.

I am thrilled Disney has kept this movie clean. We will see it. Can’t wait to see Donny O as the geeky father friend.

The Rookie is rated G and a fantastic live action movie. I notice alot of PG and PG-13 movies throw some profanity in even if the writers didn’t have to put the profanity in the dialogue; I assume for the sole purpose of not getting a G rating. I don’t have a problem with profanity and violence if it helps to push the plot along (see The Sopranos).

much above its real value, so silver is rated somewhat below it. In the market of Europe, in the http://idisk.mac.com/dukebluedevilsfreewe/Public/0/my-space-layouts-disney-villians.html >my space layouts disney villians multiply those metals ought, he thinks, upon that account, to be pkkqjxvgcf
