Depending on the theater, a ‘Hannah Montana’ ticket might be scarce
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
In metro Atlanta, ground zero for this weekend’s debut of Disney’s 3-D “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” is definitely Regal’s Mall of Georgia in Buford.
At least 13 of 15 screenings for today and Sunday at the Mall of Georgia were sold out by early this morning. The only times available to see the film: 11:50 tonight and 9:40 p.m. Sunday.
What’s a Hannah Montana fan-a to do?
Don’t panic. There were and will have been more than 350 screenings of the movie in metro Atlanta from Friday through Sunday. At least 17 screenings were sold out Friday. Today and Sunday, you can add in another 51 screenings as sellouts, according to listings at Fandango.com.
What some families might find is that they will have to travel beyond their community theater to see the film.
There is a concentration of sellouts at Medlock Crossing in Duluth (if that’s your theater of choice, Fandango lists tickets available only at 9:40 a.m. and 11:50 p.m. today; there appears to be ample seats available for most shows on Sunday).
Other theaters that have sellouts include the Carmike Riverstone in Canton (between noon and 7 p.m. today 10 of 11 shows have no seats available), the Carmike 10 in Newnan and the Regal Arbor Place in Douglasville.
But several theaters have seats available for most if not all their screenings this weekend, especially at the Hollywood 24 in Chamblee, the Carmike 12 in Snellville and the Crossroads 16 in Conyers.
At the Crossroads 16, tickets can be had to any of 44 screenings today and Sunday. At Carmike 12, all 32 shows today and tomorrow have seats available.
Nationwide, this concert film is responsible for 91 per cent of current sales on Fandango, which reports around 1,000 screenings across the country are sold out.
Have you tried to get tickets yet?

We bought them the day they went on sale in Dec. for the IMAX theater.
There will be giggly girls everywhere on Saturday waiting in line for the movie to start.

Get a life…..The movie is only being shown for one week. Your perspective does not apply here. Also, if you had some sort of life, you wouldn’t be on this blog. Before interjecting your opinion, be better informed.

Ummm - I have a life which is why I also was not aware this was a special “One week only” deal. Got to give Disney credit for making a commodity scarce, thus ensuring press and hype.
Much more interested in the real world things like economic stimulus packages, war on terrorism, upcoming elections and how that will shape the country for the next 50 years; you know, little things like that.
FYI - 30 year fixed rates are at 5.48% - buy now and avoid the rush on foreclosed properties

Bought my tix weeks ago for me and my girls. We are excited but it does stink it is only for a week showing. But i guess if you missed the concert, you can hit the theater. If you miss that, buy the DVD at Christmas.

I know you folks are probably too scared to come to the south side, but AMC Southlake Pavilion doesn’t have any of its shows sold out. I just bought tickets for my daughter today for tomorrow’s show…..

Hey HannahWHo…..this is entertainment for preteen girls, and you are an idiot.
I myself am more interested in the topics you mentioned, but I don’t think that these topics should be at the top of my 8 and 11 yr old girls’ minds, do you?
Oh yeah, did I say you are an idiot? An idiot who obviously needs a life, why are you even on this comment board. I’m here because of my daughters’ interests, you are here because you have no life.

I usually don’t pay attention to these blogs but some of the comments on this one that pertains to a Disney manufactured tween pop star blew me away. Are you people the same ones who beat each other to a pulp for a Tickle Me Elmo a few years back in order to ensure your kids happiness and love? Get a grip; Disney isn’t about to let $1.00 get away and I guarantee this thing will be back in theatres and on DVD before summer rolls around.
