Pancake Day is almost here!
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Shrove Tuesday is Feb. 5 and that means Pancake Day!
To get us all in the mood, here’s a video celebrating the making of pancakes. And, yes, maybe overseas pancakes are the equivalent of crepes, but that doesn’t make them any less tasty.
Enjoy!

Depending on the theater, a ‘Hannah Montana’ ticket might be scarce
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
In metro Atlanta, ground zero for this weekend’s debut of Disney’s 3-D “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” is definitely Regal’s Mall of Georgia in Buford.
At least 13 of 15 screenings for today and Sunday at the Mall of Georgia were sold out by early this morning. The only times available to see the film: 11:50 tonight and 9:40 p.m. Sunday.
What’s a Hannah Montana fan-a to do?
Don’t panic. There were and will have been more than 350 screenings of the movie in metro Atlanta from Friday through Sunday. At least 17 screenings were sold out Friday. Today and Sunday, you can add in another 51 screenings as sellouts, according to listings at Fandango.com.
What some families might find is that they will have to travel beyond their community theater to see the film.
There is a concentration of sellouts at Medlock Crossing in Duluth (if that’s your theater of choice, Fandango lists tickets available only at 9:40 a.m. and 11:50 p.m. today; there appears to be ample seats available for most shows on Sunday).
Other theaters that have sellouts include the Carmike Riverstone in Canton (between noon and 7 p.m. today 10 of 11 shows have no seats available), the Carmike 10 in Newnan and the Regal Arbor Place in Douglasville.
But several theaters have seats available for most if not all their screenings this weekend, especially at the Hollywood 24 in Chamblee, the Carmike 12 in Snellville and the Crossroads 16 in Conyers.
At the Crossroads 16, tickets can be had to any of 44 screenings today and Sunday. At Carmike 12, all 32 shows today and tomorrow have seats available.
Nationwide, this concert film is responsible for 91 per cent of current sales on Fandango, which reports around 1,000 screenings across the country are sold out.
Have you tried to get tickets yet?
