And now, a remake of ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’

Michael Bay is at it again.

Remember how he spearheaded a remake of “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”? Well, now he’s behind not only a remake of “Friday the 13th” with killer Jason Voorhees, but is planning a fresh take on “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and Freddy Krueger.

You know, I’m for anybody making whatever film that floats their boat, but do we really need new versions of these movies?

What I remember most about Bay’s new “Texas Chainsaw” was that after that young woman got her brains blown out in the car, the camera traveled through the middle of her head.

Would it not be more fun to invent a new horror figure? Do you want to see remakes of classic horror movies?
