This weekend: See ‘Superbad,’ avoid ‘Invasion’
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Here is my indubitable list of what matters and what doesn’t among new movies this weekend:
1. “Superbad.” Potty-mouthed and so funny it’s supergood.
2. “No End In Sight.” Preaches a strong and compelling message to the anti-Bush choir.
3. “Death at a Funeral.” British farce with drugs, caskets and a dwarf.
4. “Arctic Tale.” March of the polar bears and walruses. Could use a penguin.
5. “The Invasion.” Alien projectile vomiting. How many bad career decisions will Nicole Kidman make before her celebrity suffers?
6. “Lady Chatterley.” It’s French so there’s full-frontal nudity.
7. “The Ten.” I have never laughed so little at a comedy in all my life.

Penguins are antarctic creatures, not arctic creatures.

What about The Last Legion? Probably in the “don’t waste your time and/or money” category, but I’d like to hear Mr. Smithee’s cogent comments. Thanks.

Penguins live on ALL continents in the southern hemisphere.
That being said, Al’s comment was quite entertaining. And if he says it needs a penguin, then the film is lacking.

My point exactly H. Thanks for the support.
And my dearest Kathy — “The Last Legion” was not screened for critical consumption. So what does that tell you?
