9/28: Clay Aiken joke of the day
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Clay Aiken joke of the day:
“You can’t call it coming out of the closet when the door was wide open… Clay Aiken said he came out because he didn’t want to lie to his infant son. Dude: even the baby knew you were gay! I can’t wait til next week’s issue of People magazine: a bear with the headline: ‘Yes, I ** in the woods!’ ” — Bill Maher, during his weekly “rules” bit on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” September 26, 2008

He certainly is getting some press, it’s to bad that he doesn’t have something to promote.

I really don’t think we need any more coverage about Clay’s personal life. Can you move on please. This article was offensive.

Good Morning. I trust that everyone had a great weekend.
I know the Dawg fans were disappointed, but you win some and lose some.
If anyone doesn’t want to read any more Clay news, I suggest that you bypass the article when you read his name in the title. That would solve any comments that one would find offensive.

My deepest condolencies to actress Joanne Woodward and family on the passing of Paul Newman. “Cool Hand Luke” will always be one of my favorite films that he starred in. May his wife keep his memory going in continuing to support his many causes. He will surely be missed by those who knew him. May his blue eyes always shine bright.

Good morning blogsters! Anyone see Clay on Paula’s Party last week? He was on for her “Blues show”. He helped her make blue corn crusted fish with a blueberry sauce. It was kinda funny to watch knowing it was taped before his big announcement. His hair looked awful…too much done to it, but he was promoting a cd.
I am sad about the Dawgs today….I don’t think they went into that game totally prepared. Oh well, we have a week off to prepare for the next battle.

On my post of 7:07, did I incorrectly spell condolencies? It looked right when I typed it, but when I just read it, it doesn’t. You spellers, help me out here!!!!!!!
Anyway, I think you all know what I was saying.
The dawgs should have won that game. The 1st half was not Georgia. Came back in the 2nd, but not enough.

Good morning, all. I, too, was sad to see what happened to the dawgs, but it was not entirely unexpected. ‘Bama is almost like a pro team and will run roughshod over everyone in the SEC with the possible exception of LSU. Not even close, IMHO. And, Saban is doing it with freshmen, for crying out loud. UGA will come back, though. I have every faith it will happen. The worst is behind them, I believe.

Harrieth….I believe you are right about Bama. They looked so good on the field. I was shocked. If they aren’t at the top when this is all over I’ll be amazed. Sure hope the dawgs don’t let this get em down. I also hope flats survived….

Woodpappy, I hope flats survived this, too. They will come back. I think Richt will have them ready. The other thing may be, however, whether Knowshon plays. I read where he has a pretty banged up elbow.

LOL….i MADE IT!!!Wow,Bama rocked our blackout world sat night!!!!A few weeks ago this kind of loss would devastate for about a week, not anymore after some things happend in my life!!!!I still love georgia’s balls but have to remember it’s just a game that i’ve no control over what happens.I just hope we dont turn into a thug team with all the penalties.Penalties set the tone in the 1st half and got steam rolled!

Personally i think the dawgs needed a good kick in the silver britches, so to speak. They were a little too cocky about their “bcs” ranking — which of course changes every week so really means nothing till the end. This may just wake them up. I am sure MR will hold their noses to the fire about slacking off first half, but ‘bama has a record of stomping teams in the first half so it should not have been totally unexpected. just maybe not so completely!
anywho… about clay, good advice Nana. I’m sick to death of people whining about being Offffeeennnded .. folks, life is one big offense after another, and the deal is to be able to cope, NOT to sue and scream at others, but to learn to DEAL WITH IT. Good Lord. Like Nana said, if you don’t like something, don’t put yourself where that “something” is likely to be. THAT’s your choice… not making others shutup!
and I too send my condolences to Newman’s family — what a guy, eh? One of my top 5 favorite scenes in the movies is him walking along with the pipe cutter chopping the ‘heads’ off of the parking meters. that’s a personal favorite for SURE, LOL.

Elbow is a bone bruise, it’ll hurt but he’ll be playable, i’m betting — after all they DO have this next week “off”

Wow, a kinder, gentler flats? What’s the world coming to? Seriously, flats, I know it had to hurt, but you have a great attitude about it. Sorry about whatever devastation happened to you to cause this change, but some good has come, huh?
