7/24: Ace Young at Wild Bill’s Saturday, sales numbers

If I were in town, I’m sure I would try to see at least two of three Idols in town Saturday: Kimberley Locke at Wet Bar, Chris Sligh at Jimmy’s Mad Mad Whirled in Marietta as part of 104.7/The Fish family night, and Ace Young at Wild Bill’s.

Ace has sold 4,000 copies of his debut album in his first week, a relatively modest figure but he made it to No. 160 on the Billboard charts, according to Idol Chatter.. In case you want to check out his single, here’s “Addicted”:

-I’m curious to see if Jon Peter Lewis from season three will break the top 200 next week with his new CD “Break the Silence,” which came out Tuesday. I thought the single of the same name is pretty darned good:

-MJ dug up these interviews with Kristy Lee Cook and Michael Johns.. While Johns is leaning on going purely indie and releasing his own album, Kristy Lee Cook and 19 Recordings have already finished recording her CD over four days. Yes, just four days. Inspires confidence, eh?

Every day that I had off I recorded. I think it was like four days total, yeah in four or five days total I got my album done. So, now we’re just picking what sounds we want, mastering, mixing, photo shoots, we just did a photo shoot on my day off in Portland.

-Not surprisingly, AOL readers have voted Simon Cowell favorite TV villain (39%) and Paula Abdul worst TV judge. One third of those polled made “Idol” the best reality program.
