6/6: David Cook dating Kimberly Caldwell openly

E! Online spied David Cook with season two finalist Kimberly Caldwell at a Dodgers game Tuesday..

She sang the National Anthem and they hung out.

“They were all cute and cuddly,” an eyewitness tells E! News. “They definitely looked like couple. But they were acting like they wanted to keep it low key.”

I interviewed Caldwell back in March to get her impressions of the top 12 in her position as a TV Guide reality show expert. Her comment about David Cook? “I want David Cook’s baby! He’s got that sexy, gorgeous voice…He’s a star. He could win this.” I took that as hyperbole at the time, but hey, in reality, it appears she might really want his baby!

Here’s a really bad YouTube video of him asking her out live:

And here’s the post first date via TMZ:

-Tonight is the big debut of Taylor Hicks on as Teen Angel on “Grease” on Broadway. I’m going to post the reviews as soon as I see them. I’m sure he’ll do just fine.

-Wal-Mart shareholders meeting or “American Idol” concert? Or both? David Cook and Jennifer Hudson performed.

-Bucky Covington is scheduled to show up in the upcoming Hannah Montana film.. Billy Ray Cyrus invited him.

“I’ve never been on a movie set so I don’t know what to expect,” said Bucky Covington. “I’ve always been a fan of Billy Ray’s music and it really is an honor for him to ask me to be a part of what is sure to be the biggest movie released next year.”

Thanks Flats, for whatever it is that you said.

I’m already over the Cook - Caldwell relationship. YAWN. Wake me up when there is a sex tape, otherwise let them do their thing. Let’s do our thing by getting more information on that Clay baby. Did he operate the turkey baster? Was she there when he filled the cup? I don’t want to see David Cook asking someone out, I want the “real” dirt!

Good Afternoon Bloggers!!!!!

TGIF!! Will someone please remind me never to take another medical leave again. Been back to work a week and I have been put through the ringers. It has been pure H**L.

FYI: In this week’s issue of People, there are two good articles on Clay Aiken and David Cook. On CA, it talks about him becoming a daddy. There is a very good pitcure of him and Jaymes Foster (the mother). Guess the tool had to be drained. Both Clay and Jaymes are excited to becoming first time parents and are looking forward to parenthood.

On David Cook, there is a three page write up and some very sexy pictures of him. The article is very well written with A & Q’s. He is very humble and doesn’t see his self as a star. Even after he is told by the interviewer that he has 14 hits on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs and his album No.2 on Amazon. At that he said that was crazy and this was the first he had heard that. The article is getting into his heart and soul.

I want to thank all that confirmed my question about Nigel having a cast on his right hand last night on SYTYCD. Some of those dancers were really good. Next week starts the hard part and eliminations. Can’t wait.

Almost time to wrap up the week so I will leave for now but will be back later this afternoon if only to lurk. But if something catches my attention, well you all know me, I will respond.

Bye and you all be safe driving home from your jobs.

Oh and Harm, I really hope your A/C gets to working for you. This is not the time to be without AIR………

The blog was a little on the weird side today.

Todays temperature is one hundred eleventy seven degrees, this heat is making me delirious.

One hundred eleventy seven = 117.

By Harmony

June 7, 2008 11:22 PM | Link to this

Now that I think about it, one hundred eleventy seven could also = 217 degrees, depends on which logic you use to read my new number.

By Harmony

June 7, 2008 11:31 PM | Link to this

I have totally lost my mind now.

Eleventy can equal 11, 110, or 121, your choice!

So, one hundred eleventy seven could also be 228.

By Harmony

June 7, 2008 11:40 PM | Link to this

Evidently, I am now too far gone, but still sane enough to realize that by my own calculations that eleventy does infact also equal 10.

Everything David Cook has done since he has been in the public eye has been classy and done with integrity and elegance except this. Makes me wonder how he can go so wrong when it comes to his personal life and women. Why are men so blind to skanky loud women - is it just the blond hair and figure? Ah well, hope its only a matter of him not having some to date for a while and so he is testing the waters - wouldnt want to see a classy act become serious with a crassy one.

Are you a personal friend of Kimberly Caldwell’s? Or for that matter of David Cook’s? Unless you are I don’t trust your judgment of either of them, David Cook is not Superman and Kimberly Calwell is not Superskank. I imagine that they are both something closer to normal, and not the so far to the extremes as you would like to think.

Good morning all. I now have A/C, but it was an adventure. I left the office at 1:30 or so on Friday afternoon, as the repair crew was on the way. Three days later and $3700 poorer, I am cool. Actually, the $3700 was not all at once. I don’t have that kind of “bread” lying around, so had to put it on the payment plan. It did not actually cool off in the house until after 3:00 AM. I was finally aware of it cooling off around 4:30 AM. Whew!

And, to echo what linny said yesterday, I, too, am glad I was otherwise disposed yesterday. I hated to read the venom spewing forth on what has always been an otherwise entertaining and enjoyable blog. I refuse to talk politics among friends anyway, as I have stated before. I guess it is inevitable that some of it creeps in, given what is going on right now.

harrietth, i fear that with this being the national election, we won’t be able to avoid some political discourse; i am hoping that the members and visitors and lurkers and even the crazies will show Rodney and each other some respect and try to refrain from vituperative venomous political rhetoric; there ARE other blogs for those topics, as someone said back up on the blog a ways,

but maybe we can TRY to just ignore any that creeps in, thus not fueling the fires of antagonism. i’m going to TRY not to respond to such stuff, anyway, LOL … even if i get a little hot under the collar!

I’m looking forward to Nashville Star tonight! Not that I’ll get to actually see it tonight but probably tomorrow on my dvr! As I’ve said before, hubby is NOT into reality TV…..or dramatic TV…or comedy TV(except for The Office) He likes movies(preferably westerns but he tolerates most others) and hunting shows…you know, where the hunters whisper to each other.

By harrietth

June 9, 2008 10:40 AM | Link to this

D, I feel your pain. I have a “friend” (I am like Big in SATC—he is much too old to be “boyfriend”)with whom I share meals and tv a few times a week, and we NEVER watch anything but sports. Now, I am a number one college sports fan, but I do not enjoy just any sport for sports’ sake. I had to tell him that my Idol nights were off limits and he would not be able to come over if he did not want to watch it. Of course, you have a husband who is there all the time, so that is not an option. LOL. Or at least if you intend to stay married it isn’t. I am thinking, “do I have the nerve to add Nashville Star to this?” I do plan to watch, however, in some fashion or another.

i’m lucky; hubby works nights, so the nights he’s out, i’m pretty much on my own — but he does like Nashville Star, so i’ll dvr that so he can watch it when he gets home (around 4 am) — he WILL sit down at watch AI or SYTYCD with me IF he’s not on the way to work; he indulges my Lost fantasies (coff coff); and we BOTH like all the L&O/CSI type shows so they get DVR’d and we either watch them together (try to) or if necessary, separately then compare notes. And Jeopardy. Always. one way or another (dvr’d @ day and watch all 5 on sunday, LOL, sometimes)

Both of us are “observers” as a type of personality, so the detective/intrigue (drama AND reality) type shows are fun for us to watch and comment on…thank goodness for the pause button on the dvr, even if you aren’t recording!!!

but then, HE’s dvr’ing every single star trek episode from whatever series happens to be running and re-watching all of them (usually late late at night after he gets off work) so … i watch a few with him but that’s more his bailiwick, these days, LOL

By Menana

June 9, 2008 11:06 AM | Link to this

D: Your hubby sounds alot like mine. As long as there is a western, nascar or a braves game, he is good to watch. If not, he will insert a CD of any classic western, and then he’s happy.

Does anyone watch “ARMY WIFES” that comes on LifeTime? Last night was their second season premier. I am so hooked on that show. Last night made my tears come. It is totally awesome. For you who do not watch it, give it a shot. Sunday nights at 10:00 on LifeTime. It is an excellent program and is filmed partly in South Carolina (harrietth?).

I hope some of you read my comments last Friday about the articles in the new issue of People about Clay Aiken and David Cook. Both were well written and intersting. I know I enjoyed reading them. And the pictures of DC were soooooo sexy. I have only one word, “WOW”.

Menana…I saw the David Cook article in People…and you’re right about the pictures….I never thought of him as hot but…..I’ve had to adjust my thinking.

I have to find some show that piques my interest this summer…..what with having to stay with mom all the time, i could use a little distraction. I’ll give Army Wives a try, although, having been an Air Force wife for 8 years….I’m not sure I’ll enjoy it.

Has anyone seen the movie The Mist? Hubby and I will probably be watching it tonight…instead of Nashville Star. I’ve read the Stephen King story that it’s based on and know that, on the surface, it’s a monster movie but I also know it studies human reaction to intense or irritating situations.

What a good break for your friend. That is the number show on Lifetime. There is so much drama, you stay rooted to your seat. At least I do. Of course I like Kim Delaney and Catherine Bell, who are the two major stars on it. It’s based on 5 women whose husbands are in the service with 4 of them being in Iraq and how the connect and bond. Kim Delaney’s husband is the base commander and top General. Lsat night she and her hubby lost their oldest daughter to a bomb and then my tears started. I know,I know that this is only a tv show, but when someone dies off, I cry. Bet I’m not the only one who cries at sad movies/shows. Oh well, just watch one episode and I bet you will get hooked. Nuff of Army Wives.

I also never thought DC was sexy until the pix in People. They could almost get your juices flowing. Now that I have embarrassed myself (face is red), I will go to lunch.

D, I have not see The Mist. I like lots of King’s monster stuff, but am not familiar with this one. Ifit is too scary I probably won’t see it. Makes me scary at night when alone in my house. Typically, I am not the least bit scared, but if I have just seen something esecially scary, well, it puts thoughts in my head that would not occur otherwise. Let us know how it is.

Menana…I cry at sad commercials…it’s embarrassing! :-)

harrietth…it’s based on one of his novellas rather than a full length novel…I wouldn’t be watching it either if hubby wasn’t home…

D and M, like the Hallmark commercials? I used to get a lump in my throat over those. I am really sappy about some of that kind of stuff.

Cannot forget Heroes!!! I’m just hoping they’ll be bringing it back! There must be a jillion lines to tie up on that show as it is, but i’ve not seen anything like previews about it, except for the online game stuff. Anyone know?

Oh I love Stephen King novels and movies. Kujoe was one of my favorites. At times I really like to watch scary movies and then at times they scare the bejesus out of me. I guess it depends on my frame of mind at the time. Have not seen The Mist, let me know if it is any good.

Know what you mean about the commercials H. There was one years ago about Brayer Baby Asprin and the little boy goes to Susie’s houae and ask the mother if Susie can come out to play and the mother replys that she has a fever and can’t come out and the mom has to keep her in the house. The little boy says “Mothers are like that, yeah they are”. Do ya’ll remember that one? That commercial was just so cute and the little boy so sincere that it made me cry. Back in the late 60’s, I was watching All My Children when an actors child died and of course I was boohooing. My hubby picks that time to call and here I am crying and he wanted to know what was wrong and I said “Beth just died”. He wanted to know who Beth was and I told she was a child actor on AMC. Boy, was he ever upset with me. He was fixing to come home from work. Sometimes I wished I was not so easy to cry. You name the occassion and I will cry. But you know some things are just so darn sad that its enough to make a glass eyeball cry.

linny, yes, they are bringing Heroes back. One of my favorite shows, along with AI and Lost. I have seen every episode since the beginning.

Menana, yes, I remember that commercial. Cute.
