9/4: Kelly revives tour, goes to Cobb

Kelly Clarkson, who cancelled her summer tour due to slow sales (including a date at the Gwinnett Arena), has come back with a much smaller fall theater tour. She’ll be at the new Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre November 27. Ticket info is not yet available. Previous ticket holders can get comparable seats. More info here..
The arts centre holds about 2,750 seats compared to more than 10,000 at the Gwinnett Arena. Cobb is comparable in size to the Tabernacle and smaller than the Fox Theatre, where she performed in 2005.
Her album has sold about 615,000 copies vs. 5.8 million for “Breakaway.” After “Never Again” disapopinted, the second single “Sober” didn’t even chart. It’s unclear if a third single is even forthcoming.
On the bright side, her duet with Reba McEntire of “Because of You” is now the No. 1 single on the country charts, according to Mediabase 24/7 just barely edging out my namesake Rodney Atkins and his single “These Are My People.”
