9/25: Broadway and Idol

We’ve seen stories like this before and this offers nothing really new but since Constantine is in “The Wedding Singer,” it gave this AP reporter an excuse to rehash all the Idol folks who have done Broadway.

Addicts can now name the notables: Tamyra Gray briefly did “Bombay Dreams,” Frenchie Davis and “Rent,” Diana DeGarmo in “Hairspray.” And some semifinalist named Josh Strickland (I don’t really remember him) is doing “Tarzan.” Interestingly, Justin Guarini tried to get on the short-lived Beach Boys musical “Good Vibrations” but didn’t even make it to previews.

9/24: Idol priciest show on TV again

Not surprisingly, Fox is asking top dollar again for a 30 second spot on “Idol” come January, ranging from $500k to $700k, according to Ad Age estimates. That’s the most of any regular TV series.

Here’s a story about it.
