9/19: Carrie at Philips this Friday 9-22
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
If you’re a fan of Carrie Underwood, check her out opening for Brad Paisley at Philips Arena this Friday. The tour has been a bit slow compared to the likes of Tim/Faith or Kenny Chesney. Oddly, they opted for a flat rate across all seats: $46.75 (though watch out for those $9 “convenience” charges for each ticket) Most folks now tier price for a venue the size of Philips.
Even the stubhub prices aren’t all that bad. You can get club level seats at virtually the same price as buying it from Ticketmaster.

CBS’ Supernova group releases its first two singles under its new name, Rock Star: Supernova
After being ordered by a court to change its name, the new group that found its lead singer on CBS’ Rock Star: Supernova has decided to get creative and rename themselves Rock Star: Supernova.
Yes, the new name is the same name as the TV show. “It’s going to be Rock Star: Supernova. That’s their actual name, an Epic Records spokesperson told Reuters.
Besides saying that without laughing, that spokesperson also had the task of defending the group as being more than just the ephemeral construction of a television show. “It’s a permanent thing. Once they get off their tour, they’re going to go right back into the studio and start to write more material, Natalie Geday-Sorem said.
The group has released its first two singles, “It’s All Love and “Be Yourself & 5 Other Cliches, on Yahoo! Music. According to Reuters, the album will drop Nov. 21.
